FIRST LOOK: Zagato AGTZ Twin Tail - £650k Coachbuilt Alpine A110!

- This is the Alpine A110 - but as you’ve never seen it before. It’s the result of a collaboration between famed Italian coachbuilder Zagato (who will fabricate the AGTZ in its Milan atelier) and ambitious Polish high-end car dealer La Squadra (whose idea this project was).
La Squadra will also handle all the sales and marketing, and if you’ve not heard of them, the group has Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Maserati and Pagani dealerships - plus Alpine of course - while Ferrari selected it as its top dealer worldwide in 2022.
Back to the AGTZ Twin Tail, and the clue is in the name. Spring for one of these and you’ll get yourself a car with not one but two different rear bodywork configurations - a short tail and a long one. Every panel is bespoke, and the Twin Tail’s body is made entirely of carbon fibre. Just 19 will be built, at well over half a million pounds each.

The designer is a genius, the road version back end is something car manufacturers should've been doing decades ago.
It's horrible looking IMO. Big, bulky and ugly.

Doesn't fit the wheelbase
I think the front is good (though the livery maybe doesn't do it any favours) but personally I'm not a fan of longtails generally in terms of looks.

Very cool design from Zagato! Maybe next time we will see a car that can actively change its shape between long tail and short tail without removing parts. Essentially a production version of what Mercedes did on that IAA concept.

Zagato have designed some of the Most Beautiful Lancia and Aston Martins, ever made.

100% agree. I’m not very familiar with Zagato works but from what was shown in the video, their designs might be an acquired taste? Reminds me of when you see a supermodel on a runway wearing ridiculous clothes because of some loony designers ideas.
@@BPBomber They used to make world class, beautiful stuff...but one glance at their "current" designer and you can see taste/style/class are not high on the priority list.

I think they could've done a better job with that side fender vent. It looks way too angular for a car that's supposed to be as slippery as possible at speed.

There’s absolutely nothing ugly about the Zagato cars that came out in the 50’s to 70’s
