    Hey Keith Ron I have been watching your reviews on Electronic drums, my wife and I are getting a set as a late Christmas present to each other ...
    Gotta be the Simmons SD 1250, thanks to your info ...
    Problem is can't find a vendor in Canada (grrrr) ...

      A solution: drive to the states… go to GC… bring one back. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I wonder if they deliver to Canadian?

      They come in the box with the drum but you can always pick one up at Guitar Center. Any brand will do.

    For the sticks and mesh heads I just use nylon tips on my Sticks so that it doesn’t pull apart my Mesh Head

    • @KeithronPowell

      I have them too. I just know they can get chipped on the side/rim of the drums and that can cause them to tear the mesh heads.

    Hi , I've watching your videos especially the Simmons SD1250. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind making a video about sound proofing the room. One room I have us parkay and the other is hard smooth heavy tile. I live in a downstairs apartment which used to be a house now converted to two apartments. We share the same heating system vents (weird I know) I have control of the temperature ( I am aware and thoughtful of the upstairs tenant) anyway not sure of sound traveling through them and ceiling and walls.
    I would so appreciate a video on best ways and perhaps cost in a less expensive way. Also what difference dies it make when sound proof squares are placed like a checker board but only on one color? Thank you for all that you do. I love your sense of humor and explanations! 🥰✌ God bless you.

      One more question please, can I use the Simmons app being an apple iOS on my windows 11 laptop? I'm not an iphone/iPad user lol. Thank you sir

    • @KeithronPowell
      @KeithronPowell  Рік тому

      The SIMMONS app only works on iOS products (iPad and iPhone) not computers (Mac or PC). As to sound proofing. I have the squares up to 1) cut the reflection when mixing and mastering and 2) decoration. One wall is blue and the other black. The placement is solely for those purposes. To really sound proof your area can be made expensive. What you should do is put on headphones. The sound of the pads doesn’t travel that much.

    Love your videos! Could you make one showing us how to get our cymbal choke to work inside programs like SD3, SSD and GA? I just got a sd1250 and cant figure it out. Thank you

      Imma have to look into it. However I think the issue is in the program. So, check out my video on mapping. I think that will solve your issue. ua-cam.com/video/LMM6qtgbMMM/v-deo.html

      That's what I'd assume too but I don't see the choke mapping anywhere in the module. All I can do is assign a tom rim to activate a choked cymbal. Works but I'd rather grab it to choke like when I'm just using the module. Thanks

      @@Rimnuts0305 it just hit me…. Are you sure that the programs offer that? I know that not all modules or drums offer that feature.

    Recently bought the Simmons SD600 kit. Love it! Sadly, it did not come with the kick head sticker that you recommend we attach. Any ideas what else I might apply to achieve its same level of protection?
