  • Christopher Benoit talks about Eduardo Gory Guerrero Llanes.
    interview by Off the Record (Michael Landsberg, TSN)
    Eddie Guerrero is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, he's one of the best in the ring and on the mic ever, had a lot of charisma and was extremely muscular, he deserves way more appreciation and credit, he's the total package.

      How come it's there fault both Eddie and Chris's death are wwe fault they worked Eddie to death and konnan talked about this and as for chris he was still working while he had as brain of an 85 year old if wwe were testing there talent back then they would have known about his head trauma and his heart issues

    • @space_4736

      this was different though, Chris's death had nothing to do with Drugs and alcohol. We blame WWE because Chris had severe CTE and was dealing with heavy depression, and yet he never received any help. And it's sad when you realize that Eddie's and Chris's death was necessary, in order to make Wrestling for wrestlers safer. Both of their death contributed to the creation of the wellness policy.

      Keep this in mind this interview was in 2004 not 2007. His Mental health deteriorated over the years. His best friends (multiple not just eddie) were dying. He had the brain of a 84 year old alzimers patient. He had CTE wich causes dementia. He had a lot of testosterone in his system wich can cause outbursts of anger. They found alcohol and prescription drugs on the scene. Take in these factors before you let ignorance make your deductions.

He had problems with his wife. But he loved her. Depression, CTE, Steroids, Stress, that is a shitty combination of factors, that could lead to a murder suicide, people are acting like he was pure evil and wanted to hurt people. Chris himself was not on record for having drug problems or reckless behavior... whatever feuled him to make his final decisions no functioning human being can grasp (brain trauma is no joke). Eddie's issues wasn't even the cause of his death, nor did they get him in a major run in with the law or otherwise... he kept those things to himself. A person shouldn't be judged for having issues, only how they conduct themselves while having those issues. Eddie, and Chris for that matter aside from the last 3 days of his life, were professionals and most importantly outstanding human beings.

    Two men, Eddie & Chris. I've always had two sides to myself, the best version of myself reminds me of Eddie whos there for care, laughter & advice. The other side is dark & reminds me of Chris, lonely, always at battle with one's self or everyone else, never had anyone to turn to.
    Chris losing Eddie was probably worse to him than losing a family member, to have one true friend is a rarity & in Benoit's case it was definitely the breaking point. I strongly believe he intended to do what he did, CTE couldn't have had a massive factor in his decisions for this... it was calculated, it was over a course of 3 days.

    This guy couldn't have done what he did. Like WTF? If he felt this way about drugs, steroids, and adjusting you're body in some way, then he'd not want himself to be in the HOF nor remembered for what he did in the ring. Benoit would be against doing what he did. It just makes me wonder how this guy snapped. Heck it makes me wonder what Nancy and Chris were even fighting about that made Chris do it.

    • @Deathpool_04
      @Deathpool_04 9 років тому +3

      ***** I'm not sure about that but I wouldn't be surprised. There were MANY reasons Chris had to not kill himself or destroy his career like starting a wrestling school(merchandise for it were also being made, before that, he was going to have a ECW run, and would've went down as one of the greatest if not the greatest wrestler. Plus Hall of fame status. This would be like killing yourself before winning a billion dollars and destroying all the work you have been doing for 20 years and to just "end it"? He destroyed the TWO things he loved the most.

    • @Deathpool_04
      @Deathpool_04 9 років тому +4

      ***** I haven't seen proof of that. So I can't confirm that. My older brother who's brain damaged and he does get aggressive, he has hit my sister at times but we calm him down after. Just makes me wonder what Chris was thinking when it happened. Also I've been getting seizures this past year which has never happened before and Chris did look like he was having seizures after a diving headbutt off the top rope. Maybe he had a seizure which blacked him out and just did it? Idk, I'm not sure what happened but the case turned out to be that Benoit did it. And the house he lived in, was the perfect place to kill somebody quietly and pin it on someone else.

    • @Deathpool_04
      @Deathpool_04 9 років тому

      ***** If it was Chris then I think he felt bad for it like the bibles and he did try to revive Daniel but he tried doing so by looking up religious things about a boy coming back to life on a bed. So this shows he regretted killing him. And Chavo said that he wasn't that religious but we can't really use this because Chris himself could've been religious in his own way if Chavo wasn't there with him.
      Heck Chris himself could've made it look like he did it, Chris was a big guy, he wouldn't have to knock her out and tie her up and alcohol found in Nancy not Chris.

    • @Deathpool_04
      @Deathpool_04 8 років тому

      ***** It doesnt make sense on why he would do such a thing. He destroyed the two things that he loved most. His family and his career. Why work so hard to gain the respect of people all over the world to just have it end in something like that?

    • @zachy888
      @zachy888 8 років тому +4

      +Deathpool_04 it has already been examined that Chris Benoit had a CTE from brain damage from all the hits he has taken to the head, which in turn causes dimensia. In my honest opinion he underestimated the severity of the damage.

    Interesting. Chris is totally right. In our society, we tend to blame things like music and entertainment for the behaviors of people but never holding people responsible for their own actions. It all comes from this false notion that for the sake of the children and society, it's somehow better to raise parentally supervised children instead rising children to become independent adults. It's ethical correctness as nothing more than a cheep excuse for control.

    • @Deathpool_04
      @Deathpool_04 7 років тому +1

      Chuloloc That's why if Benoit was actually here right now or talking to us after his death, he would be fine with how WWE treats his image. If he didn't want to hurt the business he loved a lot then he wouldn't want his actions to lead to its downfall.

    • @Chuloloc
      @Chuloloc 7 років тому +2

      None of us really really know. The whole situation with the murder suicide is kind of shady. Sounds like Bill Apter was right. Chris might have gotten into trouble and the tragedy happened with Chris made to look like he did it. If that's he case, than the case should be reopened and investigated.

    • @Deathpool_04
      @Deathpool_04 7 років тому +2

      Chuloloc It's possible. I have no idea if he is innocent or guilty. Anything could've happened in his house. It was the perfect place to do it as well. It was isolated, so no one next door could hear or know what is going on in the house. No security, so anyone could just go in and out quick. The killer or killers could've stayed the weekend so that it wouldn't look like Benoit didn't just go on some rampage which would instantly be suspicious for anyone that knew Benoit because would know that he wouldn't just do that. Some of evidence being that the cellphones that Benoit used to send those weird text messages not being found either. His diary was found in the neighbor's which is something he'd never do considering if you know how significant it is to him. We just don't really know what happened. I hope you're not one of those people who hates on people just because they don't know the right answer to it.

    • @Chuloloc
      @Chuloloc 7 років тому +1

      Let's also not forget that Chavo said that Chris sent him a text massage that gave him permission to come into the house. I mean you hear countless stories of how Chris loved his family and kids and for the opposite to happened just never seemed right. None of us really know what actually happened. So it's all just a big mystery.

    • @Deathpool_04
      @Deathpool_04 7 років тому +1

      Chuloloc Well, I don't think those text messages themselves as proof though. That could mean to just save his dogs and not starve themselves to death if he was going to kill himself. If they were murdered, the killer of killers would've just used it themselves, so that they could have Chavo and the WWE discover their bodies. Whether Benoit or the killer(s) did it, they have no reason to kill his dogs.
      The stories are the same way too. That could mean anything. He did have a history of domestic violence with his wife. Things don't stay happy forever. So it could've been one of those things that just went too far which ended up with Benoit killing her. Then Benoit didn't know what to do with his son. He probably didn't want him to live the rest of his life being tied to a tragedy like that. His father and hero being the one that killed his mother. So he sedated him and killed him but that immediately regretted it since there is proof that he did try to revive Daniel by looking up religious stuff on bringing him back to life. Still, let's say it was still happy, the killer or killers would then go in and kill them.
      It really is a big mystery though. Hell, it could even go as far as to Daniel, Benoit's son, killing Nancy first, thought he had to put him down, and then make it look like he did it himself. I'm not saying that's what happened and that pretty far fetched anyway but the mystery could really go that far.

    Part of me always wondered if Chris and Eddie had a “Brokeback” type of relationship. Both were raised in a time where being gay wasn’t something you would admit to, especially in the world of wrestling. A time where a man would just keep it in the closet, and still go on to raise a family like he is “supposed” to do. Their bond ran so deep, and after watching the first part of the Vice documentary on Chris Benoit, it makes me wonder even more. He loved Eddie so much. And hearing Chavo describe the heart wrenching wail that Benoit let out when he told him Eddie had passed was heartbreaking. And how Vicky described how the Benoit family moved in for a few months to help her cope with the loss, and how Chris would sleep on Eddie’s bed in Eddie’s spot clutching his pillow and crying every night......you just wouldn’t expect it from such an intense, stoic, and intimidating guy like Chris. Whatever their relationship, it was something special, and clearly life without Eddie for Chris wasn’t worth living. I just wish he didn’t have to take his family with him when he killed himself.
