  • I am a single mom of 7 children, and this is what a day in my life looks like. I take moments to collect myself and bring calm to my day as well as hustle to get dinner on the table and children into the bed. This is my day.

I experienced being a single mom to 5 who worked full time for a year. None were under 5. I was exhausted and heartbroken, making for further exhaustion. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone and I’m so sorry this is your life right now. My husband and I will be married 32 years on Wednesday. I hope you have a happy ending - whatever that means for you💜

My grandfather raised 12 children when my grandmother passed away shortly after the second twin the 13th baby passed away. My grandma developed a blood clot in her leg and died from it. My mom who was also a twin and one of the two middle children was just 7 Yrs old and there were five kids older and five younger then her. The older children were two girls and three boys and the younger ones were two boys and three girls. I still to this day don’t know how my grandfather managed to hold together the home and held down a full time job but he did manage it and all the children grew up with a strong family bond and the ones that are still
Living to this day still have strong family values. It’s unreal that a single father could raise 12 children back in the 1940/50’s but raise them he did all on his own and he didn’t have the help of parents or any other aunts to help because they all had their own children to take care of and lived too far away. 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦

As a single mom since 2010 with 3 kids within 3 yrs, I feel I have been on edge since then. When you stated your nervous system is overwhelmed-I feel the same. It’s difficult and my fears are sometimes all consuming. Having no one to fall back on as I have no family support system and really no one to rely on, just me. It’s been 13 yrs now and a battle the whole time. At 45 I’m beyond tired. As my oldest is about to turn 18 and my youngest 15 the unkindness and selfishness that I’m dealing with is sometimes too much. I enjoy watching you and hearing your story and experience. Thank you for being vulnerable and honest. It does help. Good thoughts for you.

And in the long run you and your children will be much stronger for it. And it's not saying it's what you want. But for now it's your reality. God has your back. And it looks like you have a good support system. Prayers being sent from me. Thank you for sharing.

Bri, beautiful girl! My daughters and son are in your age range. They remember being children of a single mom. I prayed so hard and felt like each day was both a blessing and curse. Walk in His strength. They're gorgeous powerful adults. They're incredible parents to my amazing grandchildren. I often felt like it was 6 of them against 1 of me! 😄 My one bit of advice is this: Do you. Walk YOUR walk. Don't listen to those who always have a better idea. They're legends in their own minds. You've got this!

BRI, I had 5 kids, two years apart. The easiest way to handle laundry: 1- do clothes by child. 2- let that child put together outfits. 3- put the outfit on a hanger, put clean underwear over the hook, and clothes pin a pair of socks to the hanger. This way the child can pick out their outfit and not tear the rest of the clothes up in the process. ❤

I make lists for everything I have to do. I keep mine in a smallish spiral bound hard backed notebook. Every morning I take 10 minutes and look at that notebook, crossing off what I have already accomplished, adding any other “to do’s” I ve thought of. Then go over what I haven’t done yet and make a list for that day. It focuses me and I find if I have a list I will go by that list and get so much more done. I love having the notebook - I can grab it if I ve forgotten to make a list and go on errands. Next morning - cross off what I did the day before, add anything else that might have cropped up and make a list for the new day. But the best part is I can look back and see ALL the things I have accomplished over time! For me - that is always a big boost!! Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability during this time! I ve been there and I know the heavy feeling I lived under. There was no social media back then and none of our friends were going through what we were. You are helping people more than you know!

I too had my husband leave me with my two small children. He left for "greener pastures" and fast forward to now, ( 17 years later ) our kids want nothing to do with him or their "step mom" because of his horrible attitude and behavior. He proved himself to be a horrible person. I couldn't imagine having my partner leave with 7 kids to raise. May you all grow together and learn from eachother and hold each other up through the years. Remember that family is what you make it. Sometimes family is not as important as keeping your boundaries and peace. Family that cares would keep your heart close to theirs. Not stomp on it selfishly. Much love to you all

You stopped at 2 kids, so you didn't set up yourself for failure.
Having 5 kids with a man basically traps you. You set up yourself for failure when you have an unmanageable number of kids. She put herself in this situation

I am going through grief right now, and you are too. My grief is different than yours but grief is grief. I have found that if I write down my list, it takes it out of my mind that is constantly spinning and it helps tremendously. Keep your list going so and it will ease your mind. BUT keep your list to a maximum of 3 things you want to achieve. If you don’t get it done….no problem. What is left will be put on tomorrow’s list. Most days I never get my list done, but there is always tomorrow to do it. The list is a goal, not a “have to”. I love your videos. I wish I had you as an inspiration when I was raising my 3 boys alone. You are helping more people than you can imagine. You are giving us a gift by sharing your life. We all wondered how you were doing and I am grateful you are back. We love you all so much, so thank you for coming back! Hugs Bri ❤

Hi Bri, You are doing great, and is has to be overwhelming so your feelings are valid, still consider for kids to attend some type of schooling instead of you doing it all. Try to find a school you feel comfortable with, many churches have schools which they help with tuition and also there are grants if needed. Find an advocate that can provide you will all the information you need.

Missed you and your wonderful kids in your absence, still miss Art too, hope he is healing. Really been enjoying your vids you are amazing doing all you accomplish with 7 kids do not forget that! I am single 60 retired ,sort of, with 2 gardens to keep up, 5chickens and 3 cats and 94 yr old mom that needs a lot of support and I have help, I struggle to get cooking meals accomplished.
RE frozen biscuits yes you can bake many items frozen and it works great. I worked for many years as a Baker and for large production fast on a daily basis with small staff we premade and froze many items and baked them frozen with great results. From frozen croissants which go to proof box first , to pies, cookie dough, unbaked scones and many kinds of muffins. We froze them in muffin pans /froze individually for scones then put in tupperware in freezer.Frozen cookies right on trays wen straight into freezer then once frozen into tupperware to freezer set out on trays straight to oven whenever you want homemade cookies! .To this day I often bake like this. You may have to learn/ tweak temps with your individual oven with each item to get it right.Items made with oils/shortening as opposed to butter might have different results we were butter based for most items. Most things we did at 325-350 in a convection oven but a conventional oven works too.
