Very informative and comfort me in the idea that like anything, you need to spend time to understand the mechanics haha That gave a good overview of all the things to think of! (Quite a few indeed ^^) As a new player with only 1 unit maxed out, I guess this is not yet relevant since the boost from leveling up characters, VC, etc. are probably more relevant right now, but that opens a very bright future of enjoyment when I will have more choices :)
I totally agree with you! As a newer player, your focus should be to get one, then three characters to max efficiency. Then, getting a couple VCs and equipments maxed out to leverage their strenghts even more. Only once you have those powerful tools should you focus on making a more diverse roster. When variety is available, that's where the game becomes really fun for me :)
I always want to have one team that will destroy everything, but as you say, that is not the case. Sometimes your team composition is more important than using bonus units too. I was trying to use all the bonus I could for TOR boss, but once I switched the team around to include more synergy, I got a better score.
I did the same as you for the TOR, and ended up with similar results. I have a team names "OP Team" in my formations that I use for general mid difficulty content, but I find myself having to adapt for anything really challenging.
One I haven't seen is optimal builds for each character and optimal builds for espers. Might be some good Videos to get out. Example. Optimal builds for Top characters like Duane so like that people know what to expect when facing him and espers builds to know when you see them on the character
Hello, I'm new to the game, I'm trying to learn more about units, visions, espers, equipments, but I'm kinda conflicted right now, I've thrown a lot of visiore in the global festival units, now I don't if I should try to get their vision cards or if I can build than without those specific cards. I got Elena and the new Shadowlynx (no maxed units in the account yet)
Hi, there is certainly a lot to know about a game like WOTV! I think Elena's card is a must for her and you should definitely get it. Shadowynx's is a bit different as it is tied to weapon types instead of the dark element. To this day in JP, weapon based teams barely exist, so those VCs have a lot less value imo.
I know this is random but for I learned today after some guild battles with lvl 115 Gilgamesh with kotetsu + and Sakura dodged it with magic reflex?? How is that possible? I honestly have no clue cause I thought kotetsu was physical and magic reflex can only dodge magic...so yeah thought I’d mention it 😂
Kotetsu is the only hybrid ability in the game, so it can be dodged with physical and magical reflexes. It's also blocked by physical and magical barriers, but only at 1/2 efficiency!

I could have put all 3 in a lot of team comps, they are super versatile units. I've recently maxed Murmur and Grace is next on my list :)
