Episode 5 of Blue Eye Samurai, "The Tale of the Ronin and the Bride", is probably one of the best episodes I've seen in any television series, animated or live action. It absolutely floored me the first time I watched it, and upon subsequent viewings, I realized that this song from Arcane was practically written for Mizu and her backstory.
I own nothing in this video except for my own edits. Enjoy!

@@bensdreamatorium8315 My big thing is always synergy, the way you mix Mizu's parts with Mikeo and tell the tale of how Mizu became what she is or at least how she views herself was a masterful touch. So many times I will see an AMV and it is just a "Look at these random shots of this cool show" but there's no meaning behind it. You showed that this whole sequence has a tale and really showed how much this song fits Mizu so well.
Imagine if everyone had been kind to her instead of calling her a demon then maybe she could have turned out different

It's well edited and really thought out.
I love how during the line "why don't you like who i am?" You show mikio telling her how she's a monster,
And showing the onryō during "i am your ghost" is an amazing choice
Well in 1:00 i like how you took that "what could have been" line that didn't have any accompaniment to emphasize mizu throwing the knife.

I feel like this song fits Mizu even better than it did Jinx.
Mizu was purposefully and intentionally betrayed and sold out. V never meant to betray her sister.

Mizu shouldn’t be who they want her to be, she should be who she wants to be.
Problem is, she lives in a society that won’t allow her to live as either one.

She can’t live by the role assigned to her based on her being female. Her status as a biracial “demon” marks her as a target to be killed, in order to prevent European blood from entering any Japanese family bloodline. She needs her sword skills to stay alive.

And she can’t live her life as a man unless she is always on the move to minimize the risk of others finding out she’s a woman disguised as a man. She would be arrested and punished for it since Edo Japan had such strict and defined gender roles for men and women (with the exception of theater and possibly the Pleasure Districts.)

Mizu was culturally gaslit into believing she was less than human and an actual demon. That’s a messed up thing to be brainwashed with while growing up.

@@bensdreamatorium8315 :45 fit the lyrics so well, and 1:23-1:30 hits the mood so well. You used the puppet onryo scenes well, and the last beat with Mizu leaving was incredibly well timed.
