Great video! Why do you put nailpolish on the soldering? Is it necessary or just to hold everything together and last longer?
Also, long shot but do you know if the colorscheme of the conducting cables in the video are the same as on HyperX Cloud II?
Thanks, I use nailpolish to avoid future short-circuits and of course to hold everything together better and last longer. Maybe this video helps for colorscheme - ua-cam.com/video/AXttjWNW-XQ/v-deo.html
@@TechscrewDIY Thanks alot for the help man! You got yourself a new sub!
Most nail polish is enamel based, enamel is the colored insulation coating on the wires to prevent short circuits on low voltage applications like this.
Gracias pufe arreglar los mio son iguales a eso muchas gracias
eng please :)
I have a cloud stinger core but the cables are red, green, blue and white with gold.
Is the green the same as the red and gold one you have?
Best way is open headset and look whick color is for ground, right, left and mic.
i have hyper x cloud stinger i opened the wires the colors were different than yours, i got : red and gold + red + gold + green. i don’t know which is which can you help please?
just use multimeter, to find out wiring - How to use multimeter - ua-cam.com/video/BMOaVI-yhGg/v-deo.html
I would have just used a single, smaller diameter, shrink tubing to add rigidity under the cover. You paid for anodized metal you should see anodized metal. It's just as strong and looks more professional. I would also recommend spending a couple extra bucks on the heat shrink tube with the hot melt glue lining, it's a lot cleaner and more flexible for spending less than a bottle of super glue would cost you.
Don't get me wrong it works but you can get the same results and it looks more professional.
Thanks for feedback, i have heat shrink tube with the glue inside, i try it some times, but i dont like result :(
@@TechscrewDIY I didn't at first either the glue would come out both ends. Then I learned a trick that helps with the glue squeezing out. Roll one end through the heat to shrink it, preferably the visible end, then move to the other side. Now I just have excess glue on the end that's usually covered or better hidden.
Godly video but i know UA-cam will not promote people like you
Thanks, but my promote is your like and subscribe :)
@@TechscrewDIY done that already:)
Why reupload?
Because earlier this video was in Techscrew main channel, but now the content will be split into 3 channels by topics.
Wrong.
HyperX Cloud Stinger has got a new CTIA standard, where:
1st pin (green) is LEFT
2nd pin (red) is RIGHT
3d pin (red dotted gold) is GROUND
4th is (white with copper screen wires around) MICROPHONE
you DO NOT need to separate copper "gold" screen wires from WHITE cable.
this video is just waste of time.
funny dude. Check Hyperx Cloud Stinger Disassembly video ua-cam.com/video/zKZTy0CoSCg/v-deo.html at 2:17 and you see, that "screen wires around" is mic ground/shield and to be soldered to a separate contact. Good luck master.
@@TechscrewDIY so, why do you separate screen wires from the white cable and solder them to the red dotted cable if it is "to be soldered to separate contact"? Have you seen your video? You have got 4 contacts on the 3.5 mm jack, not five
you split the ground of the microphone to connect it to the speaker ground. Total you got 4 wires, not 5. Cut any new stinger headset 3.5mm jack and with multimeter check all 5 wires. And you'll see where each of these wires is connected to the 3.5mm jack.
