I saw the movie and i love it a lot. The scene of Marlene Dietrich singing just a gigolo is so beautiful.

Bowie 76-78. Station To Station. Isolar Tour. The Idiot. Low. Lust For Life. Iggy Tour. "Heroes." Isolar II Tour. And somewhere in there he found time to shoot a film over several months. This was the most creative and productive period of his life.

You forgot his Broadway debut in 1979 for the elephant man and the appearance in bing Crosby's show

@@ifyoueverfind78 Yes you're correct not an Oscar, it was a Tony award in 1979.

Star ego here. Dietrich was never going to shoot in Berlin. In fact, she didn't want to meet him at all so her day of shooting was scheduled in Paris when he was scheduled to be in Tokyo. The producers were afraid that Bowie would travel to Paris with a photographer to be photographed with Dietrich but Dietrich did not want to be photographed with him or anyone else!

Beautiful David. He could have played Hans Castorp in "Der Zauberberg" between magic and reality, intellectual rich environment, all destined to death with the picturesque Swiss Landscape. Decadence at its best.

So disappointing he did not have any of his own new music in this film.

Who needs Alain Delon? Stunning. ( Leo DiCaprio must envy the elegance ).
