Leclerc used to be great. Since then, all major nations got major buffs to armor, firepower, mobility, or multiple of them. Meanwhile the Leclerc did not get any of that. Pretty sad top tier France in my opinion, along side Italy and Great Britain, and maybe Japan (type 10 4s reload and mobility is good, but other than that, plus the non existence of good CAS and SAMs, it’s also pretty sad)
Only the mirage 2000 5F makes it bearable

At the time they introduced it, they didn't give it the depleted uranium rounds because they said Leclerc would be too OP.
Now, even if they added it, Leclerc would still not have the highest pen round... and yet they still don't add it.
Oh, and reload should be 5 sec, not 6 (at least when not moving).
I have grinded up to leclerc SXXI and, with every mods, they are incredibly good. They are not meant to be played like other tanks. I play leclerc as if it was a light / recon tank : i flank, i take good lines, i wait for the best opportunity. I never rush the core battlefield like a brain-dead and i EASILY manage to do at least 4 kills with a single leclerc. I recently made 13 kills in one leclerc without sweating with the help of some good random players
@@avierno4225 yeah, but the thing is, you could do the exact same thing with most if not all of the other MBTs and do just as well or better. I do it as well with the 2PL or the M1A1 AIM.
You HAVE to play like that because, contrary to most other top tiers, you can’t fight as a main battle tank.
The leclerc isn’t bad per say, but it’s nowhere near competitive at top tier, because it is not great at anything (anymore). It’s the second worst maneuvering tank after the challenger 2 (which is stupidly false IRL), is in the top 3 least armored tanks (with the type 10 and Ariete), has a good reload, but that can be negated by all but the Russian and Israelis with sufficient crew skills, as the second worst shell after the challenger (yeah, it does not matter for weak spot, but it does for post pen damages, which is very bad compared to most other top tiers), it has good optics, but very middle of the pack…
On one side side, you have the 2A6, BVM, PLSS, ZTZ99A, and in some capacity the M1A2 which can look roughly in your direction, click, and kill you 80% without needing to aim. On the other, you have the Leclerc, which needs to aim at very precise weak spots on most of those tanks if it want to just pen them, and even them, the lack of spalling might not do that much damage (mainly revering to the BVM and ZTZ specifically here).
And most of those issues are artificial nerfs on gaijing side, with numerous good bug reports having been done over the last 4 years to give Gaijing the opportunity to fixe them, and yet almost nothing has been done.
And in many points, the same thing can be said about the type 10 (specifically armor and mobility not being modeled anywhere close to being correct)

If I seen that it required 26,000 experience to get your first armor piercing fin stabilized discarding sabot. I literally would just go into assault ground and try and get my booster for the day through that as well as a large block of experience to help get it.

The AMX-13 and it's 90mm brother are excellent light tanks, despite the lack of stabilization. It was absolute carnage when they were lower in BR.

I don't know much about Leclercs but, I do know that the stock Leclerc AZUR will azur that you will suffer
top tier is just becoming worse n worse for stock grinders cus now nations that didnt have era packs on theirr main tanks does making grinding all the more annoying (unless you're playing as brits or sweds)
NERA and composite armor is just as bad for HEAT-FS

here's the detail
The main armament of the Leclerc is a GIAT (Nexter) CN120-26 120mm smoothbore cannon which has a chamber the same size as that of the 120 mm smoothbore gun fitted to the Leopard 2, M1A1, and M1A2. The turret is equipped with an automatic loader that contains 22 rounds of ready-use ammunition normally loaded from outside through a small hatch in the back of the turret bustle. With this system, the tank can fire at a rate of 10 to 12 rds./min. The cannon can use two main types of 120mm ammunition, APFSDS (Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot) with a muzzle velocity of 1,790 m/s and HEAT (High-Explosive Anti-Tank) with a muzzle velocity of 1,100 m/s, both having a semi-combustible cartridge case containing a dual-base solid propellant. A 12.7 mm machine gun is mounted coaxially with the main armament and a 7.62 mm machine gun is mounted externally on the turret roof. The 7.62 mm anti-aircraft machine gun can be aimed and fired under complete armor protection. At the forward rear and on each side top of the turret, there are seven launcher tubes that can launch various grenades, for example, smoke or anti-personnel. In addition, four vertical launchers are dedicated to the launching of infra-red decoys. Turret traverse and gun elevation are electric and both the commander and gunner are able to lay and fire the main and secondary armament. Manual turret controls are provided for emergency use. The turret can rotate on 360 ° at a maximum traverse speed of 40°/s. The gun elevation speed is 30./s with an elevation maximum of +15° and depression of -8°.

1. give stock APFSDS to 11.0+ vehicles(it’s literally impossible to penetrate the side of the tank because of ERA and composite armor at the side skirt)
2. Nerf Helicopter spawn point (those Ka-50 dudes rushing with rockets and killing at least two targets are too op and annoying)
3. Nerf the front chassis armor of BVM and they should delete the bug of modern Soviet Vehicles’ ammo is not exploding)
4. should buff abrams’ turret ring part because it has too big area and the shot trap is not working properly
Lol you're obviously not a helicopter player, ka50 is nerfed to oblivion, with already increased spawn points, smaller atgm launch radius, poorer maneuvering and poorer atgm maneuvering, now it's basically useless... Nerf the front of bvm why exactly?? Not like it's obvious weakspots are not big enough, all these demands are ridiculous and sound as a typical skill issue and not much else, of an american/german main, cry more...

classic gaijin nerf of France vehicle is at it's best on all Leclerc, unmodelled armor, turret rotation, engine speed, shell penetration, reload speed all nerfed and wrong but we have T-90 in game with T-14 armor so it's all good😅

What I know is that those slabs aren’t even supposed to be ERA, but NERA, as in non explosive reactive armor. So that is just another layer of composite armor. That would help tremendously against kinetic penetrators. Instead the current ERA is offers only 10mm or KE protection.
Even that is stupid, as we French players have gaining informations stating that the ERA on the BRENUS should offer 100m of protection against KE, and yet gaijing refused to accept it.
And I highly doubt that even more modern ERA (let alone NERA) plates 4 times as thick as the one of the brenus should not offer much more protection
This is yet again a proof of the blatant Russian (and in some ways Chinese) bias that we see at ground top tier since 2019

If it actually had its HE (120 OFL EXP) with around 6kg of tnt equivalent, it could actually one shot t80s by shorting their roof, so I actually think HEAT is a downgrade

120mm HEATFS being completely tanked by ERA side skirts is complete BS as demonstrated by that video of Ukranians destroying a T-90 with a HEAT round side-shot fired from a T-62, but can't have the freaking stock shell be actually useful, otherwise you'd lose your incentive to spend GE to expedite the process of unlocking the actually useful round.

Im done with this game for now for three reasons - stupid teammates, my unlucky self, and gaijin constasntly braking their game to suck money out of players. Oh no, i dont mind paying for premium, but i will not cuz with regional prices it costs like a AAA game, lasts half a year, but the game is not finished. So im basicly ranting AAA buggy mess for half a year to be slightly less upset than usual. And theres no promise of repair and/or making the game and experience better cuz hey - i've been there from 2014, i've seen history by my own eyes or watched videos by people from all over the world making videos about... questionable decidions of gaijin.
You know how much i've progressed since then? Well at 8.7 USSR army and 4.0 in britain, germany, usa. Thats all. Get gud you might say, well i've become better player than i was and i rarely get same level skilled teammates cuz mostly they run around like hadless chicken bumping around and presssing whatever buttons they find on their keyboards (or gamepads). And im basicly blind, slow, stupid, unlucky as hell, im mid-tier gamer and still get top places in team often. But it doesnt bring me joy 'couse it fill like im a top idiot in a team of idiots, theres nothing to be proud of.
Games are easy. They are. Not easy is being born broken by design or having uncurable illness for your whole life just to live in pain and die suffering. So games are easy. This one is too. Its pretty simple and straight forward but i dont consider it a waste of time playing it - there are things to learn (mostly from other peeps), experience/personal achivements/skills to get and learn. You can have fun in here! But for me now the pain afflicting me overweights the fun i can get from playing WT. Bad netcode, broken mechanics and interface, bad balance unfair amount of p2w and pay to progress faster, content only for REAL money in this free to play game - what do we need to do? yes, attilla update, fuc fixing the game, fuck listening to playerbase, get money. This is upsetting.
So i'm taking a vacation to cool down a bit, relax from neverending pointless grind. Hey, i never finished 2077 storyline and i heard it is really not bad to witness.
So i'll just drop it here god knows why and leave.
