  • This video is meant for scoliosis patients and their caregivers.
The information you're about to hear was provided by 4 scoliosis patients who have undergone spinal fusion surgery to correct their scoliosis. Some of them had a “C” curve and others had an “S” curve. Between all of them, they experienced daytime bracing, nighttime bracing, no bracing, and in the end, spinal fusion surgery. Their surgeries affected them physically, but they also had a huge impact on their families, their school life, and their daily activities. Although it may seem like a long, terrifying process, they all feel that surgery had a positive impact on both their physical health and their self-confidence.
Their goal is to pass along helpful information to other families to help make the journey through spinal fusion surgery a little bit easier.

I have an S curve. My doc said it would most likely have to be spinal fusion instead of tethering, I’ve had countless surgerys in the past, not for scoliosis but this one makes me a bit more nervous
