I accidently tipped my bike over and it fell on its handlebars on the carpet in my garage. The T bars looked all bent, I thought I was crazy so I put on another exact set and it looked the same. I stumbled upon your video and it did the trick. I feel so much better. Much love from Atlanta, Georgia
Finally, A video that helps us with our front ends. I have found several videos for Japanese Bikes. But this is the first one I found for Harley Davidson touring Bikes. Thanks very much for the Informative video. You Rock! Cheers!
I appreciate this video so much. I just purchased a new Softail Deluxe and rode it home for 4 hours. When I got to my driveway I hit some gravel in the bike came out from under me. It didn't do any damage but the crash bar and front alignment went out while lifting it up. I don't know if the handlebars are a little warped either. I know the right side of the handlebar is higher than the left side. I took it to the Harley dealership up the street and they didn't even want to help. They just said oh you need to buy some new handlebars. And that was the extent of the help that they gave me. I asked him if I could pay them to do an alignment and they said no definitely the handlebars. But when it's out of alignment the handlebars look crooked anyways.
Thanks for putting this up. I have exactly the same problem on my new sport glide, I'm going to let the dealer have a go at it first. Do you happen to know what the torque settings are for the clamps?
My 2005 dyna needs something done, my handle bars are not line up with my front tire, off just a little to the right, i don't have a idea how to ajust it.
@@mykv4792 lol, no I haven't come up with a solution, I don't recall it doing that on the freeway, if it did, it was too slight to really notice, it is possible that part of the issue is the hwy I ride on, it doesn't seem as noticeable on certain parts of it, it's not a super consistent issue.
.....probly interesting to note....sometimes the top clamp that holds your handlebars may have been tightened in the wrong sequence...that can throw it out also.

Yikes! Yes it doesn’t take much to knock it off

Thanks buddy. Sorry to hear that! It could be both but certainly do the alignment 👍🏼👍🏼
You're skilled, Mr! Good tutorial on top.
Thanks buddy!

No worries! No I’m not sure of the torque settings but it’s not as tight as you’d expect.
So much helpful 👍 greeting from 🇹🇭
Boonyakiet Suebpa thank you! Glad it helped! 👍
Im not sure , but isnt it just the bushing rubber of the risers?
And just block the front wheel and ajust the steer a bit.
Normally pumping the forks with everything loosened off will align them but it doesn’t seem to work with the Harleys.
Wow, what a clean bike.
Thanks 👍🏼

Cecil Clyde Houck have you tried doing what we did in this video?
Did you notice it while you were riding with no hands or was it just pulling in a certain direction.
Don Robertson it wasn’t pulling in any direction it was riding straight, just the handle bars were slightly slanted to the right
I thought this was about wheel alignment also.
My bike with hands off, is veering off slightly from straight.
@@bikersoncall did you figure out what the problem was?

@@bikersoncall oh ok thanks
Why loosen the fender bolts?
dylan scronce Because the fender connects each fork so loosening it allows them to move independently 👍
Hi guys can you the same for the maverick 125 that would be really helpful thanks 🙂👍
Hi. The same principles apply to any bike. Should be much easier with the 125
Ah brilliant thanks 🙂👍
Good job, thank you.
D'yer Maker no worries mate
Take fender off put big square or t square up against forks other part in the middle of tire you shoukd see if tire is straight or off center

Ok yes good point
This is covered under you warranty. Why do it yourself?
Walt Stovall because we had the same problem with my previous bike but they didn’t do it properly and why not do it yourself it’s fun!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan If you do by yourself, you wil lose the warrenty of HD.
uweyaa I don’t think doing jobs like this would affect the warranty; only modifications that change the bike
Ok Cool.
Walt Stovall no worries! Sorry only just seen your reply; not getting notifications for some reason
