Same thing happened to my 8th gen. I thought it was the delay valve. And I needed up pulling the trans and my clutch looked same way broken. I've been having problems for awhile now with my car doing the same. Even after upgrading the slave and master. Thanks for the video.

My favorite transmission shop said he had to change to a new supplier because everything is trash now.... I just spent 98 days struggling with different brands of slave cylinders and mistakenly put in a copper conical washer that contaminated the clutch fluid.. finally got a finishing washer I had to cut it smaller with a pair of scissors....

I chose Action clutch stage 2 hopefully I don’t run into the same issue! If you tightened all the bolts and adjusted the clutch pedal as well as replaced everything you did…that shouldn’t of happened :(

Someone recommended action clutch and I should of went with that but will probably just do oem for now.

I think youre confused about something. Some cars have the CDV in the master and some have them in the slave. In your case the CDV was on ur master (the triangle) Why would you need to swap to a slave with a cdv delete? The em2 master is the delete... They dont have a delay valve in your stock master and slave... so why the retrofit mix match?

Man those clutch lines make it so much easier of an install. As for the delay, that's definitely cause the clutch broke not from the delay valves. Man I feel your pain on this one, went through very similar thing with my Spec Stage 3. Hopefully they treat you right, and doesn't end up costing you dbl.

Damn that really sucks, Clutch master should refund your purchase, a clutch falling apart like that is not okay. It seems like thier quality control has gone down the drain. It's a shame they used to make quality products. Really push for for a refund they did you wrong!

Yeah it definitely does not hold up and the price is gosh on just the clutch disk and pressure plate smh

Have you adjusted the clutch pedal yet? That could be a cause of you not being able to power shift. Maybe you have to extend the pedal so it has more travel to engage?

    • @GarrettMedia

Yeah I’ve adjusted the pedal for more travel. It didn’t do anything but caused the pressure plate to come in contact with the clutch disc

Just bought a type s yesterday and the clutch pedal had a weird gap on the initial engagement then it would engage and the car drives fine but I suspect the master cylinder. So I took it to a shop for diagnosis and now the pedal has great pressure but I’m going to get the master cylinder swapped out anyway because it can’t just fix itself like that so it might be pressuring then leaking slowly.

That really sucks. Clutch master cylinder was an issue for me several times. Keep pressing on.

Sucks that you are going through this shit dude, seems like J series aftermarket clutches are a hit or miss, Luk ftw?

    • @GarrettMedia
      @GarrettMedia  Рік тому

OEM + p2r or Luk would be best probably. I’ll still give CM a try with an OEM bearing this time

    Always used oem Throwout bearing

The cm clutch came with a different type of release bearing. It’s different from the oem it has a spacer on it. Figure I use it for now 👍

Mine wouldn't go into gear after installing the new clutch and flywheel

Make sure you didn’t install the clutch disk backwards and just re trace your steps

@@GarrettMediait doesn't make any weird noises and starts up when the pedal is pressed. Shifts gears off and nothing while running. I just ordered everything you did because I hate to go back into the transmission
