It’s amazing how much change there has been over the years in regards to devices and systems to help in daily living! I’m glad to see you drive and I bet that independence felt great!
Purrfectly awesome!! Just so cool! And yet ANOTHER thing you can do!! Thanks so much for sharing, mind body spirit! All so interesting how that works!! 😁
Amazing technology but whats more amazing is YOU and your constant positive outlook and willingness to keep moving forward. Nothing but respect for you brother. Look forward to your next video
That is fantastic Zack! Bravo! That is an excellent system using your arm for acceleration and braking and turning. I'm so glad you'll have your Independence to get places now. Good luck to you!
Tanti baci dall'Italia😍 Zack, is exciting knowing you and follow your beautiful life made of simple but fondamental things: faith, love for the others, studying, little daily successes. You are a sumbeam for the people around you and a God's tool created to touch people's hearth. Keep continue like this, step by step! Many wishes, lots of kisses from Italy😍 (... and sorry for my bad english!)
🎉Congratulations on driving! 🎉 I have a few questions though. 1. Is the seat belt set up so that you can secure it yourself? 2. How do you check your blind spots? 3. Is this van intended to be operated completely by one person or are you suppose to have a companion with you? Certain tasks that a person who operates a vehicle should to be able to do might be tricky for someone who requires these types of accommodations. For example a circle check before getting into the vehicle (crouching down to check for leaks), pumping gas, filling oil/windshield washer fluid. I am only asking because I am curious. Please don't read this as a negative or hateful comment. I am simply asking questions to educate myself (and possibly others). Hope you get to dive again soon. Have a great day!
Cai Linton hopefully he answers they are wonderful questions and Zack is transparent with his injury and educates us through his adaptability 📋📄📃📅💻 Waiting to learn 😁Zach
lol theres people who never check washer fluid and oil. nowadays cars have blind spot mirrors cameras.. and theyre basically becoming robots that'll tell u if somethings wrong. i wouldn't be surprised if the seatbelts motorized too self driving cars r becoming common so pretty sure this guy will have one of those soon
I'm a paraplegic. In my car, the break is when I push forward, and the gas I when I pull back. I was told it has to be made this way, but apparently not. A reason to why it should be that way around is if you suddenly have to break, it is easier to break pushing forward, because while breaking everything "accelerates forward", if you know what i mean.
I am proud of you! Your video showed that there are so many controls to maneuver and keep track of. You are awesome. Your choice to be positive has really spoke to me. Your videos are so inspirational. Love your channel. Keeping you in prayer in Jesus name.
Oh wow, I know that has to be so exciting for you. I am going to pray God bless you with a van like this. They must be terribly expensive but God can provide. You might could start a fundraiser. I bet lots of people would help. I am so happy for you, Zack.
Zach, if I could ask: have you gained any feeling or mobility since your injury? I’m just curious because you seem like you keep pushing and trying, and I wonder if that helps your body to adapt and function. Forgive my poorly worded question and if it’s out of line just say.
That is so cool Zack I to drive with hand controls. Of a different type it can be scary at first but it will get easier if you get your license. I know these things aren’t cheap either I wish you the best
Hi zach, I'm quad like you since July 18, 1977 and there was little medicine to stop spasms uncontrollable in this time. By chance, the drug "Baclofen" helped me a lot. Indeed, I have more spasm and believe me, I had a lot. Baclofen is a muscle relaxant that acts in the spinal cord as a GABAB receptor agonist, inhibiting mono- and polysynaptic reflexes and thereby promoting skeletal muscle relaxation. Since I use "baclofen", I do not have a spasm like before, and at work it was very annoying. I worked as a communication technician, and I had a lot of traveling to do to meet all the communication coordinators of each of the 19 boroughs on the Island of Montreal. It's great, try it, you'll be really happy. Good luck dear Zach. Jean A.
I too use baclofen for myoclonic spasms due to my spinal cord inflammation and myelopathy alongside muscular dystrophy. It helps a little but I wish the spasms would go away. I may be getting the baclofen and a painkiller where it is released into my spinal fluid by a pump implanted internally called an Intrathecal pump. Medical technology has advanced drastically!
This is so awesome! Can I ask where to get that device you were using? & what is it called. Ive never seen anything quite like that before. I have a condition called Cerebral Palsy & am wheelchair bound. It would be so amazing to be able to drive my own car. I bet you were very happy to get some independence back
That was AWESOME!!!!!! I bet you had a blast!! Freedom!! The only thing is I bet they cost a LOT!! Like a small house maybe. Wish they came in a cooler vehicle maybe like a truck. How long have you had your Service Dog? I would love to know some of the takes she does for you or the most important thing she does for you. Ive had mine a year and she helps me stand & brings me back when I go into a brain fog. Wish you all the best!! ❤️

Why do people dislike this? This stuff makes me feel so happy
That is amazingly impressive.
Zack so proud of you. How did it feel to drive
Great job! It seems to me though that to turn right really requires you to extend and lean quite far. Would you agree?

I’m so excited for him.
Who’s filming this video and what kind of camera do you use
So exciting ! Are you getting your licence ? I suppose those kind of modifications are expensive...

Hola Zack! Bendiciones... 👋💖😊
Awesome! Enjoy!
*โห่ ขับรถเอง เก่งมาก👍👍*
What editing software do you use
I'm sorry if it's already been asked or explained, but if pulling back is the brake I was wondering how does hand control reversing work?
