Cat's attitude was perfect!! Yea, I agree with everyone that said, "you don't own a cat and forget the litter box". Not saying to describe what goes on in it, but getting cat supplies and not have that in the basket is a little too fictiony. Closer to fantasy.

No litter box? No mention of the many humans approached who ignore the cat. They just carry on trying until they find one who helps.
That was my first thought too, he forgot the litter box. Otherwise a good story.
