Apple's case can give you longer usage time with a smaller battery is not actually because of Apple's integration. Mophie's has a bigger battery, but wireless charging waste a lot of energy in the charging process. Really, Mophie Juice Pack Air for the iPhone X is way better at power efficiency by charging right into the phone's lightning port, the drawback is the case charges with micro USB with no access to the lightning port.

I was really on the fence on which case to get, and I was really excited about the Mophie case because it’s what I have used for years. Based on this I don’t think I can go wrong with the Apple case. Thanks Mike, great analysis!

Great video . Congrats. One question: I got my mophie for my iPhone 11 Pro. Placed a small metal plate on back of it so I can place it on my regular vent mount ( which obviously has a strong magnet) in my car, even when my mophie was fully charged... at night and back home, I tried to charge my phone from mophie, but I Noticed the charge from my mophie to my iPhone lasted just a few minutes. from 31 % in my phone,, it went to 61% and then, mophie had no more to give. Does a regular var vent mount drain the mophie ? (It’s a new one ) Thanks a lot !!!

The Apple battery is also bigger that’s why the performance is better.

I bought the Apple battery pack when the XS Max came out it’s fine great and wonderful BUT without a on / off switch it’s going to always charge your phone which killed my battery health from 100% to 91% I called and talked to AppleCare they said to swap out because it’s a constant charge to my phone ! ( DUH ) when the phone dropped to 90% I was done 😡 returned it and claimed out my XS MAX free of course because AppleCare couldn’t really give me a solid answer to why it was happening. So then the Mophie case I really don’t know if I wanna go through the same BS again , anyone have one on their XS Max and does it kill the battery health ? TIA

your video was very helpful...i just order the item from mophie directly at a price of $59.00. the fact that i could use carplay and earphones, yes i use them on occasion, is a big feature for me...i plan on using it as a source to back up my iphone until i get to a charger so it seems like a perfect fit...my question to you is, how heavy is it compared to the apple battery case? keep up the videos they are very helpful and informative...

I bought both of these cases for my XR and the apple case is heads and shoulders above the mophie. The difference for me was much greater than the numbers provided by mophie and apple regarding their cases. So worth the add'l $30
