I like this video. I personally prefer to watch you demonstrate your advice on letter structure, space management and weight. This is so organic to see you on a sketch book creating your piece.. thank you make more videos like this!
Love these larger length tutorials . Watching your videos has made me get my sketch books oyr again and get back drawing. Thank you. Found my old tag from many moons ago and did a straight letter but with your lessons of letter weight ,positioning and flow in mind. Am very happy with my new found knowkedge . Your letter positioning and weight management has really helped my composition my art sketching in general . Mu appreciated :) WUKONG
Awesome video, Ive been writing jaunt but ive been really struggling with elevating my tag past the basics. my throws are good but my handstyle is just uninspiring. If it ended up in a future video that would be cool!
Always providing top tier content brother thankyou 🙏 started writing PLAGUE(S) recently. Didn't try for a name change but stumbled into it and immediately knew 🙏
Sabo17! Crazy work many things i was aware of but seeing them being implemented thoughtfully really makes you realize how much you can affect if you focus on your actual letters and practice! Dope video helpful as always 🔥
Hey my graffiti name is Olynks and i love your video. I prefer videos like this because yoy show the sketch and explain at the same time. I would like that you sketch my name in the next video it's : Olynks thanks 😄
Been watching for about 2 years now learned everything from this channel i know how i like to do my letters but i would like to see what you do with the name: rends
It would be cool to do a rate my name exchange where we do your name and you pick your favorites and rate them and then do their names back in a different video… PAIN
Hey, I recently started and have been having trouble making the H be the first letter in my work, the name is hezi (because of hesi in basketball) and it would be great if it could be featured in a view. Michael Jordan.
Base Line, Mean Line, Cap Line and letter distortion are 4 new phrases to me. Is there a "glossary" of technical terms when it comes to sketching graffiti???
@djpatch6754 if you Google graffiti term you'll find various glossary type sites that have many graffiti slang but not really any of these. My book has a glossary with all this info and more but luckily for you, 3 out of the 4 words you listed come from penmanship, not graffiti so those a simple Google search away. As for letter distortion, we have a dedicated tutorial on those so you're totally covered
@DanteNoël-o1k nope, that's #1: not how you learn, infact it's the worst way. #2: not your style nor does it help you create a style that's really yours. #3: it's copying and teaches you practiced bad habits and misinformation
@@Theartistblock but if I sit down with my mentor and we work on Sum ideas and he makes a throw up can I den yousse that throw up or is it stil copying becausse it’s difficult to make your own throw up letters
@DanteNoël-o1k no worries about English, you're doing great. If you have a mentor then there's 2 factors here in the situation you spoke of. Firstly, if they make you a throwie, tag or piece and pass it down to you then that's fine because they're bestowing it to you. However even so, they should be teaching you the actual fundamentals for you to still learn how to make one for yourself. I will say, be cautious of mentors, most do not at all know graffiti's fundamentals enough to teach it.
@@Theartistblock il look out for it thanks but my mentor is a great inspiration for me it’s like my final goal to be like him so I try to copy litle things from him like how he does a sertain cholor combination anyway thanks for the help mane
Hey Grim need help bro I just found me a tag just need help on how to use it. my tag is "NUSS". I dont know whats best a Throwie or block style need help I like throwees tho. An a couple of colors to make my word pop. i really appriecate the help with colors thanx
Man the more I think about it the more depressing it gets, very few writers even know the basics of Graff as an artstyle, they just do what they think looks good, which isn't inherently wrong, it's just that you cannot improve like that. Name's Nade btw
@@return2sender791 thats kind of his point. graffiti has a low standard for what's considered good in terms of knowledge and skill. If we compare the average intermediate artist from almost any other artform, and we compare that to graffiti, graffiti's pro's have an amature skill and knowledge in comparison. Now comparing pro artists to pro graffiti artists has about the same knowledge and skill gap as a college professor to a kindergarten student ( the pro artist being the professor). That being said, this is assuming we're talking about writers that ONLY do graffiti and no other artform. Its no coincidence that the best writers and legal graffiti artists alike tend to also do another artform to a professional degree, such as saber, greg simkins, mad c, so on so forth.
