I have been shooting for over 20-years, and the only thing I can say I wish all this information was around when I first started, keep it up and keep it coming
I have recently taken up shooting and am glad to see the comp x as one of your recommendations. Nice cartridges to shoot and I think I will definitely stay with Hull in the future
After starting out I shot Superfast for a year, but a few of us at the club had several bad batches - if they fired, it was like we were shooting confetti. I had a ShotKam on and one of them had just enough recoil to trigger the camera, so I could show the supplier (they swapped out the rest of the slab, and gave me a couple of free boxes). The rest of them that didn't fire properly, there wasn't enough energy in the cartridge to trigger the camera. Different slabs from different shops/grounds bought over a few months. If it was just the odd one or two rounds, I could accept it - but this was happening regularly. We lost confidence in Hull and none of us have shot them since. We moved onto Gamebore and Eley.
I use Fiocchi sporting black 8's 28g. Great all rounder for everything: sporting, skeet, DTL. AND a lot cheaper than Hull. I used to use Hull Pro One 24g until they got ridiculously priced.
Ii have shot clays for around 50 years now and enjoyed it immensely, i'm in my 70s now, and i would love to shoot clays with my little Browning 525 --- 28 bore, but the shells are so expensive . Can you not get them down to roughly around 12 bore clay shells price, and if not , why not ??
As an industry we are looking to move away from single use plastics. Cartridge cases are easily recycled as is ths cardboard packaging so much better for the environment it far outweighs the small financial cost
Yes they do but it would actually increase production costs as they would need to buy all new packaging equipment. Plus the degradation of the plastics take years. Cardboard is done in weeks
Hi there since watching part one of your series I’ve had 10 shooting lessons and have applied for my license! Looking at getting a browning 525! Thank you so much for these they are really helpful
@@TS4M931 Yeah just be prepared to wait a long time as its affected the whole country of course. The Met still say on their website up to 6 months wait but that's nonsense and from speaking with a shooting club owner this morning he knows people who have been waiting 14 months and heard nothing so I'm lucky lol.
My biggest advice for beginners is apply for your license straightaway , some schools do a caddy system so you can shoot without the license and use the most cartridges on the clays you miss , it feels good hitting easy targets but you learn nothing
I applied for my licence over 1 years ago and only a few days ago finally got an email from the Police to arrange an interview. COVID has massively slowed the process right down.
I really rate Superfast shells, they are as you point out very consistent and punch above their weight, but cartridges from "other manufactures are available" and comparable. Don't stick to one brand, there's a whole lot more brands out there, give them a go.
I'd love to, but for that I would need to get the kit to test. None of the manufacturers are interested in someone doing a comparative review, so I would have to buy them, I cant afford that.
hi Lloyd i my self use hull but i use comp x for my sim days where i use 400 plus in a day in 21 gram and all my other shooting superfast 27 gram ive got most my freinds on superfast now great cart cheers
What is your take on steel cartridges? Coming from Sweden I never used lead so can't tell the diffrence, but from what I've heard people used to shooting lead never wanna go steel 😉
I use steel for skeet, Gamebore #9 super steels through a cylinder choke with a 94 average, put 3 99's in lately with them, they are perfectly good enough for any shooting up to about 50 yards before losing a bit of energy and pattern falling away, but the people whom don't like them have never shot it most of the time. You get 20% more shot due to weight & density of steel so for Skeet they absolutely dust the clays with even the most open of chokes.
Im very happy with the performance of superfast but find them incredibly dirty, my gun is full of confetti after 100 shots! Are the higher end Hull cartridges any cleaner?
Difficult video to watch. Sound quality very poor over the shotguns in the background. Don't think it's my device as it's the same on my laptop. Just thought I'd let you know, for next time 😉 Regardless, love your content 😁
I ues hull supper fast 27, 7.5 fiber, I'm new shooter I'm on to my second thousand now. Does bywell have Solo shooting system, ie the delay so you can shoot alone. I'm only down the road in Co Durham
not a fan of super fast there too kicky the comp x is my go to for volume of shooting 24g is a good half way in a decent cartridge even the little 21g comp x is capable for practice i think hull have got to have the best range of cartridges out there for clays
i think that’s the worst video you have done as it’s just an advert for Hull cartridge who is your sponsor . Disappointing to watch and hear over the repeated gunshots.
I didn't know this was going to be a Hull advert when I clicked on it.

The cost is going up all the time cartridges clays a lot of people are giving up because of the cost of clay shooting
Moved across to Hull Superfast - no looking back - love the consistency
Buy the cheapest you can get, unless you're sponsored, they're a waste of money
I agree 100%
100% this
Great video lads really enjoy using hull cartridge being shooting for a year now still learning but love it! Happy shooting Lloyd

question for Hull, to reduce the cost, why not sell cartridges in bulk 250 plastics bags, no cardboard box??.

Great to see more video's on shooting in general. Not to put other channels down, but I think you can do them better. Keep them coming.
Thank you Mike.
I'm sure there is good information here, but it is nearly inaudible with the low speech volume and louder surrounding noise.
Bring them to America.
for sure !!!!
world domination i’ve heard american cartridges aren’t as refined as european cartridge
We're waiting..............
Couldn't understand much you said, but, I did enjoy the background blasting.
Cheers.
Thanks for watching.
For clays all I ever use is 21gram, never seen a clay they can't break. Very underrated and under used by most folk.
They all break em,,,, some break em better than others!!
I shot 50 comp x 21g fiber though my sxs on the clay ground friday hand it was a pleasure to use
Cool advert.

Lloyd,
what glasses were you wearing shooting DTL?
Great video.!!

Hi Lloyd, I noticed that on your belt you have a cartridge bag and a little round one, similar to the chaulk bag climbers use, what is that for.
It's a release aid bag, but I keep my ears in there and a choke key. Not that I have used a choke key since I got the Perazzi...

I learned to shoot clay birds with a .22 rifle when I was a kid. When I found out you can use a shot gun, I said, " Where's the challenge in that?"
