Two things I liked about the new Adam fight: 1. Weiss is relevant and apologizes for her family's actions. 2. It takes all four of them, using actual team strats, to defeat him.
I could die happy with this. Adam has been redeemed. The ENTIRE team fought him, he stayed the fragmented visionary instead of a JeAloUs Ex BoYfRiEnD, and he died with 2000 times more honour (granted, he was a defiant, insane asshole) than he ever had in the show. Also, Best goddamn last words ever. EVER.
Yeah she will be missed, but not much can really be done with her past this point. She fulfilled her purpose in teaching Ruby about her eyes, giving Yang the advice she needed, and helping Qrow get over his own apathy.
My guess is, since she didn’t do a lot in volumes 7 - 9 (even the writters forgot her) but she’ll most likely be there for volume 10 in the battle, They chose to remove her anyways as it would change little to nothing Then if needed, she will appear again in volume 10 for the great battle, since Ruby would just make her big call around the world anyways
I like how you fix Adam’s arc and work with the characters. And I believe Ruby will be a bit traumatize from killing Adam since unlike her friends she wasn’t prepared to take another person’s life, since all she wanted was to fight for everyone and not take a single life. In which I bet it will have some impact on Ruby in the future. Either way great volume and excited to see what Volume 7 hold next.
Ruby shooting adam is unexpected. Plus it kinda feels like she avenged yang for taking her arm to begin with. Since ruby took that path, she might have hallucinations of adam if she and her team head to everafter.
You managed not only to make Adam a better more powerful villain, you also managed to connect ever member of team Rwby with Adam somehow Blake: His past in the white fang Yang: He was the one that took her arm and traumatized her Weiss: Her family gave him that mark And finally Ruby: The girl that killed him
And when you said ruby the girl that killed adam, the protagonist we did not expected to do it, is similar to how darthmaul was killed by obiwan kenobi back at the phantom menace.
Reminds me of Raiden using Jetstream Sam's Family Sword after he killed him. It's fucking glorious, even moreso considering he was her mentor. Maybe he also instructed her to take his Sword if he ever fell in battle, back when they were on good terms? I just love the idea.
So, will the "upgrade", the new blade, of her weapon also have the damage absorb/moonslice ability, or was it purely Adam's semblance? EDIT: More importantly, if Blake uses the blade, how will this jive with her overall design? She's had zero reds in her designs, thereby it would clash with all her other colours.
@@BanBootlicking I would like to think that adding a bit of red will show a connection with team, since ruby is a shade of red. Weiss have a red scarf, Yang's eyes are red upon using her power and Blake's upgraded Gambol Shroud will have a new blade. As for Moonslice, it was from Adam's power, the sword was more likely a medium that allowed to control his energy.
@@sandwichmonster7067 I think that's the point. Because with no connection other than "this guy is trying to kill my friends," she was the one most ready to do the deed.
I love how the soldiers here were shown to be competent and well-organized fighters who still had the agency to think for themselves as opposed to the soulless drone-like canon fodder we’ve seen from the official show.
The moment you said Blake took Adam's weapon I literally screamed with joy. That was such a missed opportunity in the canon show, a great chance for her to evolve. No, she just patched up her broken, useless sword with a spit of yellow. What a waste. Her picking up Adam's weapon, maybe in a personal quest to "redeem" it from its bloody story, whould have been much better.
One of my biggest problems with OG volume 6 was how they had Adam die. We are supposed to accept that he is dead despite his body falling off a cliff JUST LIKE CINDERS? Rule 1 of fiction, if you don't find the body, they are alive. I am so glad that you had him just shot and left in front of them so that we can have 100% confirmation that he is dead.
I dunno, people falling off large inclines into darkness was once a pretty good way to just say "they're dead". The "body rule" _really_ fucked up how deaths are presented in fiction nowadays. Let my corpses fall off cliffs. Please.
Yeah, as silverpoint mentioned the trope of people turning up alive because they didn't have a full open-casket funeral kinda got overused until audiences now EXPECT that to be the case. But there are other works where someone falling out of sight , or even being left behind in a perilous situation was meant signify an end to their character. Disney used this so often (Frollo, Gaston, that one guy from Atlantis) that "Disney Villain Death" became a TV tropes entry.
I don’t think anybody realistically believed that Adam was gonna come back figuring that not only did he fall off a Cliff like Cinder, but was also stabbed twice directly through the chest, unlike Cinder. Also into running water. 1 of those things he might’ve survived but none of it together.
Not only did all of team RWBY get to contribute against Adam, but they fought like a competent team should have. Ruby getting the killing blow cemented her leadership even more than when she directed the fight. When it comes down to it, she’s the one who makes (and is able to make) the tough split-second decisions. Yang’s arm shattering Adam was great symbolism that would have really helped the original series, especially with her getting a new arm anyway. Everyone in the main cast had massive character growth compared to the start of the volume and they *won’t* be immediately shot out of the air when going to a military capital with a stolen vehicle. All in all, this was an amazing volume that has vastly improved the series. I can’t wait to see where you guys go from here.
I REALLY appreciate how the Atlas military from Argus actually comes in and helps take care of the Grimm in this rewrite. One of the many things I didn’t like in the last few volumes was how it felt like the official show was trying to have some anti-militarism message. It’s weird because this takes place in a world where people are under constant danger of a monster invasion that can’t ever be reasoned with so this approach in the show felt inappropriate. It’s like trying to have some non-violence message in Mortal Kombat, it’s just gonna be confusing in what you’re trying to aim for here.
@@tudoraragornofgreyscot8482 if that were the case, then we wouldn’t get scenes like Marrow commenting how “but they’re just kids.” While Flynt and Neon are doing what they were trained for and fight to defend Atlas against Salem’s army of Grimm.
I've been saying it for years and someone else finally agrees with me on it. Like you don't just stop doing something just because it failed 1 time in a war that happened 1 time it's like saying tanks where slow and useless against the enemy in WW1 so we shouldn't use it for WW2 when In actuality the tank is THEE most important piece of military hardware for many years for specific reasons With RWBY you need armies to defend yourself against the grim because there a constant threat having mercenaries defend your city that takes years of training is what the kids would say "sub optimal" especially with no loyalty to a state they could be bought off to not protect a settlement just because another one hated the other and said fuck them leave them to die
Adam finally gets the ending he deserved, one where ALL of RWBY was involved. Maria stays a volume exclusive character and doesn't get brought into Volumes 7 and 8 to do nothing, and the mech looks *way* cooler. All in all, pretty great way to end a volume, my hats off to you good sir.
An Amazing end to volume 6, sad that Adam had to be killed like in the original. But at least he didn't died anti-climatically, he was a tragic villain filled with violence and rage until he finally meet his end. Rest in peace, Adam Taurus. Now it's time we wait what FRWBY Volume 7 have us in show
fixing rwby volume 6 was absolutely incredible so much fun. the thing i can't wait to see next volume is going the interreacts between Roman and Ironwood because ironwood has a lot of respect for Ozpin and Ozpin's new host is Roman. like i can imagine ironwood ordering roman's arrest and term rwby being like "Ironwood wait you can't arrest Roman he is Ozpin's new host" and Ironwood saying like "you got be joking right"
ooh that's good point I guess getting Ironwood to trust them will be really hard maybe something screws up and that's one of the reasons he betrays them
@telkei3365 Now that I think about it in hindsight, Celtic just made his job WAY easier by having Roman be part of the heroes team. As much as I want Ironwood to stay part of the heroes team, it's so much easier now to write Ironwood to become an anti-villain unlike canon.
i started to watch rwby several years ago, around the time when volume 6 was still being aired I think. I dropped it after volume 6 and left the rwby fandom, no more comic dubs, fanfics, theories, etc. nothing. recently, after homophobic rwby memes I decided to came back into the fandom to see if something changed, but as we all known, the show only got worse. that's when I found fixing rwby. I binged the whole series in 4 days and at some point of volume 6 after the whole team was together i started crying, it wasn't during a particularly emotional moment or anything like that, i was crying because i finally was able to watch a version of rwby that lived up to the hype. your work and the work of the sketchy huntsmen healed a wound that i didn't even know that i had. that's why i wanted to thank you. because you carry montys torch. thank you.
This was great finale. The only criticism I have for this volume is that Arslan's death felt a bit forced and kinda came out of nowhere. It might be important later but we'll see. Everything else though... *Chef's kiss. The characters are entertaining, and I find myself smiling at their antics. Ruby actually has a valid reason not to spam silver eyes. You're not holding on to superfluous characters when they're no longer needed (I.E Maria). Most importantly, RWBY are actually heroes! It doesn't feel like they're just getting lucky all the time like the show proper. They're actually fighting for every inch that they can get. I can't thank you enough for giving Adam an appropriate and respectful exit. I can finally be at peace. When someone ask how Adamb should have been done, I can happily point here. I can only imagine what that final fight would look like if it was actually animated, it would probably look amazing. And Adam left a permanent mark, again; Ruby killed him to protect Weiss. She she didn't hesitate. You can say she's lost a bit of her innocence and I'm curious how that'll affect her in the following volumes. Can't wait to see what you guys do with the next volume. I'm curious how you'll tackle the infamous ending. But if it's anything like this volume I'm confident you'll pull it off. And I think I know how you'll be be handling Volume 9. Maybe you guys haven't planned that far ahead yet, but you have the pieces to make it work. We'll see once you get there. Cheers!
What you all did with the volume is incredible. From the major stuff like fixing Salem's backstory, Adam's arc and presence during the volume, Ruby having a proper inner conflict that I assume will play a role in the next volumes, from the minor stuff like Pyrrha's family and even just cute little details like the Durarara's inspired ending. What a great volume, I cant wait for the next.
That was amazing. Ruby does have to deal with her actions and the entire team RWBY must deal with what happened yet this is far better than the canon version. - Characters are smart, good and they feel like well-written characters as usual. - I´m glad that the crew gets to go to Atlas without making themselves criminals. I was wrong to doubt. - Having Atlas Army show why they are still around is amazing. EPIC!! - Edit: Adam went down like a boss and with a well-earned reputation of being a force of nature. Eager to see how RWBY deals with his death if they do end up talking about it. THEY SHOULD talk about it. - It is excellent that his mark was not ignored and Weiss tried to make amends. I look forward to seeing more if there is going to be more about this. This was an amazing finish.
The characters were better than smart: they were consistent. It’s fine if they make dumb (or even illogical) mistakes as long as it makes sense for the character. As a small example, Ruby was creative weaving everyone in and out of the Adam fight (showing she has good tactical knowledge as a leader), but eventually became repetitive to the point where Adam was able to grab her (leaving her completely defenseless and without a backup plan). Even though she backed herself into a corner, we can logically see how she got there (this is just an example from a fight, but can be applied to character moments as well).
@@lucasm.3864 Can´t believe I forgot to say consistent, yet agreed. Consistency is or can be more important than being smart when it comes to characters.
Not to mention, those last three episodes showed how hypocrytical Cordovin and probably most of the other higher-ups in the Atlesian military are when it comes to a crisis that they’re too afraid to handle themselves. She’s such a backstabbing bitch for berating team RWBY for “abandoning their post” when Adam was basically slashing through everything and everyone in his path like they were giant sticks of butter. Ironic, since she pretty much ditched Argus and was prepared to let thousands of innocent men, women and children get slaughtered just to save her own wrinkled midget ass.
@@observer2484 I agree with your other points, though. It’s especially good that they shouldn’t get shot out of the sky as soon as they get anywhere close to Atlas.
Wow, all I can really say is wow. What an amazingly emotional end to such a great Volume. Not quite sure if this beats Fixing Volume 5 for me but it comes soooo close. Too many amazing things to name. Cordo being exposed for how much of a cowardly hypocrite she is was so satisfying given how terribly she treated everyone. Blake and Yang getting to actually work together against Adam, Yang able to face her fears because do the friends who have her back and Blake being able to stand proudly as a member of the family that is team RWBY. Weiss accepting accountability for what her family’s neglect and poor police’s did to Adam, it may not have been her fault but that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t do what she can to fix things. Roman doing his best to be more optimistic but still having my his jaded realism, and getting called out just a bit by Jaune. And Jaune choosing to struggle with the responsibility’s of both a knight and hero, willingly carrying the burden instead of just choosing the easiest path. And on the other hand we have Ruby, who didn’t need to make a sacrifice. Of course she killed Adam, but it’s something she’s been willing to do before as shown by her fight with Tyrian in Volume 4. And her being unable to give up her memories, her team letting her know these are their memories too, and Ruby ultimately not being given the chance to erase so much to stop the Grimm was all beautiful, especially given part of Ruby’s arc is like an inverse of Blake’s. Whereas Blake runs away to escape her past and tries to find a peaceful place to just rest and find herself, Ruby runs towards problem that are further away from her own. If she managed to use the silver eyes on the leviathan then she would still be running. But she doesn’t need to run anymore, both she and Blake have found a team, a loving family that accepts them and won’t give them up. Truly a beautiful end to this beautiful Volume.
I really liked that Adam felt like a threat, it took days of exhaustion for the girls to get a fighting chance, it was terrifying when he showed up, and it was great that it took the entire combined team rwby, somewhat fresh with tactics and ingenuity to take him down
Dang this was SICK!, i got so into this episode that in the Adam fight when he was holding ruby by the neck i actually yelled "KICK HIM IN THE DICK!" lmao
The Adam Fight is what I always hoped for, 4v1 all out. Honestly the only thing more I would have liked is all of the girls getting so kind of scar from Adam in the fight. Thank you so much for giving Adam the fight and character development he had the potential for. Calling it now Blake is going to find Adam's mom in Vol. 7 and give her Adam's sword.
I think, his mom is dead, murdered by his father. That was revealed in volume 5 if I remember correctly. Some suggested that Blake may repair her weapon with Adam's sword.
I would like to extend thanks to Celtic and the team. Vol8 broke something in me given a traumatic real life experience and i've hated RWBY ever since. But this series of fixing, the heart and soul put into it, has made me able to overcome the broken part and I can like the characters I used to adore once more. For that, I am thoroughly grateful
Celtic, if you ever see this, I just want to say that this was an incredible rewrite. To you, the Sketchy Huntsmen, the musicians, and the animators all I can say is you really outdid yourselves. You should all feel so proud of what you've accomplished here. I do think there was a missed opportunity with Adam, I'm fascinated to see how things would have played out if he returned to Atlas, and I will admit I thought Yang going from being scared of Adam to then making jokes at his expense felt a little rushed, but I will admit those are my only (admittedly small) issues with this finale. I laughed when I saw Cordovan tied and gagged, I felt dread at the sight of all those Grimm attacking Argus, and I was blown away by Yang's final move against Adam. I know I said it already, but I cannot emphasize enough how much I loved this rewrite. A friend of mine has gotten into watching RWBY recently, and you can be sure that I will get him to watch your rewrite as well. I cannot wait for your Volume 7 rewrite, but for now: you and everyone else involved should take a break and enjoy this triumph. You've all earned it.
ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING I was honestly scared when had ruby suggested to steal like in the original but you managed to do it in a way where they were not labeled as criminals this time adam was so amazing have ruby be the one to kill him and not having her use her eyes yet I love I absolutely love it looking forward to Volume 7 fixing
I can’t wait to see what FRWBYs version of Ironwood is going to be. I just hope that if they decide to make him an antagonist it has to be better written than what we got in the show.
@@EthanIlchert Maybe even save him from falling? I still dont understand why nobody, not even winter (who viewed him as a father figure) didnt attempt to do something like that or feel remorse and pity
I liked the mermaid Grimm, pretty unique in my opinion. The split screen of Ruby, Yang, Weiss and Blake honestly looks adorable, their eyes are huge. So their looks of (of what is meant to be) determination come off as really derpy. The teams working on their plan was nice to see, especially Jaune actually being a strategist. Showing Adam getting free and seeing him hallucinating more was good. Yang about to get lost in a fight before Blake pulls her back up was a nice touch. Maria getting to fight and the “dance” she and Qrow do was really cool, along with the music. Ruby causing a sonic boom with her speed was funny. Roman’s “Oh shit” moment when the explosives start working faster then intended was funny especially his face. Weiss is actually allowed to be smart which is nice. Cordovin’s soldiers actually being uncomfortable with what they’re doing is nice unlike in the show where they’re all equally as derpy and annoying as she is. Neo’s idea so she can actually drive Bumblebee was a nice touch, her being able to create parts of illusions is something we haven’t seen before (I don’t think). All that build up for nothing with the explosions, damn that sucks. Roman and Neo stealing the ship was funny. The scene between Blake and Yang as they hide from Adam was really good. Adam’s speech to the hallucinations and Blake was really good. Yang’s arm actually being damaged during the fight was nice unlike in the show where she is (somehow) able to catch it. Ruby using her speed to quickly switch everyone out in the fight was pretty cool. Yang taunting Adam was good. Yang’s arm and Blake’s weapon being broken along with Weiss being extremely winded was a nice touch. Weiss trying to apologize and being told “Fuck you!” by Adam was nice. I wonder what the fallout will be of Ruby being the one to kill Adam are going to be. Blake giving Adam a last look while also taking Wilt and Blush was good. I wonder what’s going to happen to them. Ruby trying and failing to use her eyes is also helped by the fact she stupidly isn’t in from of the Godzilla rip off and only survives because she uses the lamp to save her ass. The Halo music playing as the fleet comes back was really good. Being given clearance codes was nice, makes a hell of a lot more sense then them stupidly flying into dangerous air space even after they’ve been warned. The mech looks awesome. The little bit between Nora and Ren was funny a good combination of Nora’s derp and Ren’s calm. The scene between Qrow and Maria was really nice and I like how Maria is only (as of right now) in this Volume, canon Maria is just “there”. The final scene of Cinder and Malachite was a brutal way to end the volume.
"Decadent misanthropes" she pulled that one out of her ass XD Also I know writers who use subtly and they're COWARDS Utilizing Barbara's reputation for in story character development, WHILE also letting her copies Adam's style with her own flair to defeat him, Ruby killing Adam solidifing her as a mature leader... Masterpiece. Thank you all.
Adam was a beast in this volume making his strength in volume 3 relevant and consistent. Adam’s backstory makes more sense than the thin line of depth in the original. And I like the reversal between the rivals of similar powers
I know it would have killed the tension a bit, but I would have loved right after Adam grabs Ruby's Neck: Adam: Got anymore jokes?! Yang: I will grind you into dust if you hurt her! Adam: HILARIOUS! *throws Ruby into the air*
This rewrite volume has really shown me how far this series has come. This started as a short voice over of what episodes would be like and now this has become a web series in it’s own right! The wonderful drawings, the stellar characters and the writing have made this into something that deserves the praise it gets. The first seasons of this rewrite made me want to get into writing again, and while I still do not have anything close to this level I am thankful to you for reviving my love of writing. Take as long as you need for the next volume, scetchy huntsmen. We will be waiting for your next update when ever it comes out.
Honestly, dont know what to say. But I'll start with more simpler words. Thank you, everyone! Every artist, animator, writer, scrip-writer, music producer and every possible contributor to this long series. This volume has been an amazing journey. Pretty sure you guys heard this a lot by now. But thank you for creating and re-creating such amazing, funny, heartbreaking and impressive story.
A more fitting end for what was essentially Team RWBY's Boogeyman. It was entertaining watching them play hot potato with him. I'm glad Maria is staying in Argus. She served her purpose without overstaying her welcome. I am going to miss the running gag of her mistaking Ruby for Qrow's daughter.
All of RWBY facing and defeating Adam as a team was the highlight for me. I can't wait to see what else you'll have in store for us for Atlas. It wasn't drawn much attention too in this specific video but I really love the Yang/Neo dynamic you've established in this series.
So Ruby is the Adam killer this time! Shame about Maria not joining them to Atlas. Anyone hear the Jurassic Park theme with the last scene of the group's ship?
I love watching these Fixing RWBY vids i get emotional watching them because it feels like there are actual stakes for the characters regardless of hero or villian status. Also like the fact that Ruby is a skilled sniper unlike the Ruby in the actual show who forgets that she has a gun or how to use the type of gun she has.
That Roman and neo moment with the bombs was really cool! Damn this Adam vs team rwby fight was very well done. 36:01 also minus the jinn stuff. Actually glad we didn’t get a silver eyes moment in this episode and have it be saved for something better. Man this was a great finale. Something tells me ruby is going to have some mental consequences for killing someone for the first time. Hmm that after credits scene was ominous as hell!
Really loved this volume and I wonder what'll happen in Volume 7 when it comes to the subject of Penny. As I see it, there's possibly three different options for what could be done with her. Option 1. Penny is restored, but she was made using an earlier back-up from before her death at the Vytal Festival, leading to some trouble with her and Ruby reconnecting. Option 2. We get an entirely new Penny since the original's hard drive was beyond repair. This Penny would be fairly different and would somewhat resent constantly being compared to the old one since they're not the same person. Option 3 and my personal favorite option, despite Penny being my fave character: Penny is well and truly dead. In her place, Ciel has had herself upgraded with a lot of cybernetic parts, including some of Penny's own. Now she's become the protector of the city while trying to cope with what Penny's death and her team being dissolved has done to her.
I say option 2 due to the situation of Ruby meeting an old friend but that old friend is an entirely new person and doesn’t even know you and she just has to make peace with that
When Adam was struggling to continue fighting and Yang told him to: "Just stay down." I frankly expected him to say: "I can't." And while it would have had his usual bitterness and rage, there'd also be a tone of... duress? driveness? The idea being that by saying it, he indirectly admits he sees no other path for him while also not entirely wanting it himself, thereby showing just a smidge of vulnerability. It's not to be a moment of redemption and him lunging at Weiß would still make perfect sense. Just a small confirmation that by the end he wasn't a pure "Evil and loving it"-villain but someone that burned bridges after the world burned him with circumstances having him had burnt one too many.
I absolutely adore the fact that Yang copied MoonSlice in her own way (especially the fact that it partially relied on her friends to do so), I feel like it would be perfect to name it SunStrike or something of the sort over HeatWave as to pose how distinct it is as well as mesh with her Yellow coloration and even her name
Thank you SO MUCH for redesigning the mech! Now it actually resembles the tribute to mecha anime it was trying to be and just plain looks cooler and more fitting with the Atlas aesthetic.
Damn so we just get the most exquisite jumping team rwby has ever done and then yang punches him so hard that her arm explodes? That's crazy In all seriousness they really need to do this 1v4 strat In the actual show since its a pretty busted combo
This is definitely a massive improvement when it comes to Adam, I can't wait to see the rewrite of Ironwood, I didn't like him suddenly becoming a bad guy however if its written well enough I'm on board. Actually Adam started to go crazy and felt like everyone was a traitor and in the show Ironwood became paranoid and stopped trusting people so if he's written in the same way maybe there will be a slight parallel but with a happier ending? Anyway can't wait for the next volume!
What a finale, thank you to everyone who put such hard work and dedication to this volume! Through the up downs and all arounds, what came out in the end, was nothing short of great!
As Adam broke the chain, you should have made a reference to the sith code. "Through Victory, the chain of my past is broken." But this was awesome. I cant wait for volume 7 and 8.
I think Yang should have a brief (1 sec tops) reaction to losing the arm again. Eyes go wide with the flashback you clearly see in her face, and then they blink and her smug smile comes back. Byshow that it still affects her somewhat but not to the extent it did it highlights her growth. Also, in the next scene i totally imagined her trying to help blake up with the blown up arm and then quickly switching to the other hand.
I can't wait to see Adam in Fixing RWBY Volume 9. ;) This fight was amazing. It utilizes all 4 members of RWBY while keeping a focus on Yang and Blake in combat, and makes use of them all narratively. The fact that Blake chooses to move on, that Yang chooses to risk life and limb (literally) for others, that Weiss for herself sees the monument to SDC's sins, and Ruby having the most violent transition to an adult ever. It's amazing. I love it. Adam dying so suddenly ironically proved to memorialize him more than that melodramatic death used in the actual show.
@@EthanIlchert Absolutely. Celtic Phoenix made it very apparent that Ruby is what he'd call the "innocent" character. She's not naïve, but she lacks the full understanding of the darkness inherent of being a Huntress. She's expected killing a lot of Grimm, but she's never expected to kill a person, and sure she could chalk it up to wanting to protect Weiss, but at the end of the day, Adam is now a lifeless corpse because of a shot placed by her and only her. I'm certain that this kill will place a good deal of responsibility to Ruby later down the line, especially as we get to Volume 9, where Ruby (albeit correctly, thanks RT) blames herself for basically everything that happened and why both Atlas and its undercity are completely lost now. This will probably have Adam replace some member of the Tea Party, as Neo and Roman are completely absent, because Neo isn't affiliated with the antagonist, and Roman isn't dead.
Ironically, this was RT back when Monty was still alive. A passion project made by a small company with a small budget creating an incredibly interesting and unique science fantasy world with awesome fight choreography. The plot, themes, and characters were a mess when executed but it was really cool than most modern fantasy shows.
Here’s a question: Maria’s backstory. It makes sense that she stayed back since she doesn’t offer much after this in the original. However, there was that flash to Tock who took her eyes and was hinted in the Rewrite to have taken more. Tock is most likely dead, but my writer senses are tingling
Wow. Just wow. Great volume, appreciation and love goes out to all the sketchy huntsmen and everyone else involved in this project. It’s been amazing seeing how far it’s evolved over the years, now with 3D animated bits! And the art just keeps getting better and better. You can tell so much love and care went into every little process of this. The story (as always) is unbelievably refreshing and really emotional, expanding upon what I once liked out of RWBY and I know I’ll continue to have that love and awe of this series as we keep moving forward and building upon the foundations. Great job again everyone, here’s to Volume 7! (In due time, of course. Gotta make sure Celtic has some sort of break so he doesn’t start speaking in tongues…again.)
This... this was the BEST EPİSODE OF ANYTHİNG I'VE EVER WATCHED! This is beyond perfection cinema-level writing and organisation. Their plan the fight scenes - the little animations and art to create the perfect ambiance just makes it better- . ı was screaming and on the edge of my seat during the entire time and rewatched so many of the scenes over and over again to admire this brilliant work. I know this looks intense but I cannot really explain how much I appreciate this . İt is just such good quality work. The thought and effort put into everything the writing the suspense the terror and excitement I feel during certain scenes is something I haven't experienced in a long time watching anything. I adore the work everyone did in this episode and series I at this point can't get enough of this. ...that scene of yang/blake and ruby/weiss talking over the scrolls for adam to be revealed LİKE THAT is objectively the best villain encounter of anything ever. We've had episodes and episodes of this man being established a REAL threat and now we see him, knowing that the last thing he though about was meeting Blake the first time... LİKE WHAT WHO WROTE THİS, WHO DREW THİS, HOW DİS SO GOOD?!
I'm back at it again with my nonsense If anybody is curious how the animatic scene would work in real time, it's uploaded now ua-cam.com/video/le6qHFWgSeo/v-deo.html once again EVERYBODY IS SO COOL AND THEY ALL DID SO GOOD-
While I think Volume 5 was *slightly* better in my opinion, this is definitely a close second favorite for me. Kinda wish Adam inflicted more damage on the team and Blake or Yang being the one ones to end him but he was a magnificent horror villain. It’s also a pity he never confronts Jacques Schnee but maybe he can as The Hound.
This was really really good as a finale! The Adam fight rocked and it was nice seeing all four of the team get to fight Adam, esp Weiss. Loved that Ruby was the one to take the shot and do hope that has some ramifications on her going forward. Maria being Volume Exclusive was great. I liked that Ruby's faith in people/her ability to convince is what caused them to mutiny against Cordovan and get to Atlas, though I'll admit I think with HOW heavy the setup was for her Silver Eyes here, it may have been best to have her need to do it still. It was really good and idk if the other volumes would be able to top the emotions for her finally deciding to use it. Also just maybe emphasizing that them deciding to leave the city while they are fighting is also in hope that the Relic would maybe lead the Grimm away. Still has that element of desperation but makes it feel less like the girls are just hauling ass to save their skins. Blake taking Adam's sword is also intriguing and has the chance to be really cool! Also that image of Ruby killing Adam by Modded Joker is beautiful and I really want it as a wallpaper.
There are so many outcomes after ruby killed adam. One, it puts a target on ruby for those who still follow adam's ideology for faunus equality and freedom, or hallucination in the everafter.
Not me hoping the Volume 9 doesn’t get changed too much since I liked the majority of it. But then again this series is awesome and y’all have shown time and again that the ideas in the show can always be improved somehow so I’ll remain excited for everything to come. Here’s hoping Penny gets the Justice she deserves!
@@zillagrilla315 Honestly, seeing some of the adventures with Jaune and Alyx would be awesome! Maybe with some narration from the story as it's told in Remnant, but I’d understand if not since that could get confusing.
I can't decide on one stand out moment I want to compliment in particular since the entirety of the episode blew me away. All I can say is that this was a banger of a finale and massive compliments to everyone involved. And I said this once before but I'll say it again, this series really is a gem.
Another season of Fixing, under the belt. Thanks for the fantastic journey. (Ps Ruby using her speed semblance, to swap out her teammates while fighting Adam. Awesome strategy.) :D
Well Phoenix, I told you back in your fist Volume 6 video that it takes me about 20 bottles of vodka to get through the actual Volume. And after watching this video, I can say...that you've reduced it down to 6. Thank you for such fantastic work with this volume. The character developments and interactions, the lore behind the world and the characters, Adam in general, it was all fantastic! Cannot wait for Volume 7!
I can't believe I'm getting feels from a fan rewrite of RWBY. Fantastic job to you Celtic, and to all the artists and animators that helped out on the project.
Finally a good end with adam. That mech is badass. Cordivin tesit on beging a coward commander is a good touch altought i thought she was a bit to easy to trust kn the beginning. I would like to thank the crew for this fixing series.
Excellent finale to a bridge season of the story. For me, the volume in the official show is kind of a bridge between Haven and Atlas, (not a bad paper idea, just saying) not unlike the canon's Volume 9. I will say though, I am SO excited for the Atlas arc to be tackled in general. You have no idea how much this story arc broke me in the canon show, and not in a good way. (I only saw clips of 9 to be fair, but I heard it was easily the best of the three Atlas arc volumes) Because like you said when you approached Volume 5 that there's something to work with there. And *(the remainder of this comment is just theories)* I feel like Ruby killing Adam had a very important plot reason as build up to Atlas, and wasn't just done because Ruby was the MC and all of that. Ruby easily had the least amount of personal baggage with Adam, and any other member of RWBY getting the kill would feel like a fitting sense of revenge, or justice, or mercy. But no. It was Ruby. The first time Ruby has ever taken the life of someone that wasn't a Grim. (That I recall, I could be wrong) Yes, Adam was a terrorist and a maniac who needed to be taken down, but that doesn't mean he wasn't just a normal kid at one point. He was a person (faunus, whatever). IF Ruby is gonna lie to Ironwood the same way she did in canon, it will be out of a desperate effort to play the altruist, and do Ironwood a favor by giving all the responsibility to herself. She took a life. She doesn't ever want to do that again, and she doesn't want anyone else caught in the same disaster she did. If anyone's gonna get that happy ending for the people of Atlas that's seen in fairy tales, it's gotta be Ruby. And she will NOT be immediately trusted with this decision or opinion. (Yeah I know Yang called her out in canon, but that was AFTER Ruby screwed up) Who's calling her out? Roman, due to his history. And *Blake.* Adam was Blake's ex boyfriend, someone she cared for. Ruby killed him. That's gotta get some sort of reaction from Blake besides 'meh, he had it coming', because that'd be... disappointing. Because even if someone you love became this vile insane killing monster who tried to abuse you and your beliefs at every turn, and it was *absolutely justified* for you to cut tied with them, there was a point in time where you loved and cared for them, and you can never ignore that when looking them in the eye. It's a cruel emotion. (Insert your Arcane reference here) Blake doesn't need to go all angst and antagonistic, but she is the least trusting of the team in Ruby's approach. Blake would take over Yang's role in the Volume 8 Civil War in this case. I think it could fit better. And it will all bite Ruby in the butt because she can't handle that much weight. I also think Penny would amplify this, you know, IF she comes back. (I'm guessing she does, because Fixing Volume 3 had a bit where they talked about Penny's memory chipped and how they could bring her back. If that wasn't gonna go anywhere, why bring it up at all?) Penny won't be the same robot girl from Beacon. Her personality is altered to match the cold behavior of the Atlas military that raises her. And Ruby would constantly be trying to get the real Penny back and return that friendship they once had. Again, miserable failure for Ruby, because that Penny is gone, and this new Penny is the one you gotta take care of. Not sure how you're gonna handle the Winter Maiden, and I guess it's all up to how canon handles Winter going forward. If Penny still becomes the maiden, it's a coin toss on whether she lives or dies, but either way, Ruby is the center of it, not Jaune. If Penny dies, Ruby kills her, and it's her grief over failing miserably to save everyone, transitioning to Volume 9 where she accepts that they're all gone and loss is necessary. If Penny lives (which I would personally go for) it doesn't matter because it's not the Penny Ruby knows, and either way, Atlas crumbles because of Ruby's actions, which destroys the entire life and home this new Penny lives in. Volume 9 Ruby character arc, and after, Ruby would accept this new Penny and be friends with her. Again, we have to see what canon does with Winter. Speaking of, the biggest concern I have is the Schnees. And Ironwood. I do think AT FIRST, canon had a good idea with Ironwood having a downward spiral, whose beliefs and morals warped him into a general that only harmed when he thought he was healing. It all fell down the drain because the writers wanted you to say he was a BAD GUY for his actions, which should absolutely NOT be the approach. No one should say Ironwood is a bad guy, at worst, they say he's making the wrong moves, big difference. Difference being he doesn't threaten to blow up Mantle for the sake of it, and doesn't try to kill his own co-workers! "GOSH." Winter and Penny are the vocal ones in the end in saying he's lost his mind and did the wrong thing. This guy is a father figure to these two. This would hurt and hit like a truck for them to say and have no choice but to turn their back on him. *Then there's Weiss.* This is ATLAS. Weiss's HOME. How Weiss was so irrelevant to this arc when her entire family is involved BAFFLES me to no end. Weiss HAS to play SOME sort of major role in this story arc. Maybe it's character development as a part of the military, maybe she's involved with the Maiden, maybe she's dealing with her family and seeing their perspective, maybe she's becoming her own military huntress general and taking the front lines in protecting Atlas (like she said she wanted to in Fixing Volume 2) I don't know, I think that would be cool. Even if she would lose it all in the end. I don't care what it is, it's better than nothing for her. You don't just throw a character into a place they're familiar with and have them be a decoration. Idk for everyone else. The fixing is good enough that I'm making theories over a rewrite of a show rather than the show itself. That should speak volumes on how impressive it is for everyone involved in the project.
Thank you all for this volume, it was a fun ride and I'll miss it, even though I know I can just rewatch it whenever I like. Part of me thinks that Blake will take parts of Wilt and Blush to redesign her own tool, perhaps a means to let the better parts of Adam live on and do some good and since I'm also betting that Adam SOMEHOW survives as like Maul, this man doesn't know how to die, he'll be picked up by Salem since he now has amply reason to want Ruby dead since she nearly killed him, that anger will make him a perfect grimm-human hybrid for volume 8, which will give Blake the chance to kill him once and for all with the weapon that symbolized his...better aspects, maybe give him a moment similar to those we see from the 12 moons in Demon slayer where they in their final moments think about the good times. I'm hoping that they don't lie to Ironwood as it defeats the whole purpose to go to Atlas, but then not trust James. Again, Atlas would be a fun time to explore more of the world as someone like Cardo proves that racism in Atlas, not just against the Faunus is alive and well so they could explore as well as helping him keep power long enough to finish Amity. Weiss and Blake will probably get some episodes together in volume 7, investigating the inner workings of the SDC to both try and make amends for her family's crimes against the Faunus, and to ensure another Adam never rises as I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't the only one branded, in fact I would assume that at least a few faunus workers in Atlas have similar scars, but never got justice as the SDC are just that powerful that it could be pushed under the rug, or have their cases dismissed through some legal BS. It'll certainly be a better subplot then some election nonsense and it gives Jacques more reason to get desperate enough to work with Watts as in the show, he would have lost an election but he was still one of the, if not the most powerful businessmen in Atlas, he wouldn't NEED to run for office and seemingly did so just to mess with Ironwood. However, if he learns his daughter is looking into, and finding evidence about his many many crimes and the other misdeeds of the SDC, he stands to be arrested and thrown into prison, so that version of him might be desperate enough to work with a Watts. unknowingly reawakening some older core memories as a means to show that connections are more then memories.
BANGER! Absolute banger! Thank you and all the sketchy huntsmen for this endearing volume! For the finale itself, really the only complaint I'd have is that Jaune, Ren and Nora are coming along for Volume 7. I know its sticking close to canon material and tbf who doesn't want to see oldie Jaune, but it wad the perfect opportunity to let them stay behind with all the reasosn given throughout the volume. I just think they will take up space with the roster of characters already in the next two volumes. Also would of been cool to see team CDRL fight as well here instead of have them taken out the whole volume looking for Russel. Other then this, I genuinely was enamored with this finale. Adam, Cordovin, the Grimm invasion and all the other little details really boosted these two episodes. Fixing Volume 6 was a tremendous effort by the team that I can only be thankful for, genuinely from start to finish it has been great to watch. Naturally I have some reservations with the Volume, mostly with Malachite and the slowness in the middle with Argus but who cares! I love this finale! Thank you again Sketchy Huntsmen and Celtic! I hope yous feel proud of what yous have managed to accomplish. I can understand a long break before Fixing Volume 7, I remember hearing that you Celtic would like to work on other projects then solely Fixing, so I hope you do and relax from it now! Thanks for all this in the end!
holy shit what a great finale and might I say I was actually concerned for Ruby when she was caught by Adam, I knew she wouldn't die obviously, but I really thought she would get hurt or maimed in some way. Just goes to what a great story you all have made and I deeply appreciate it and can't wait for volume 7.
What a Finale. Thanks to all the artists that made this possible. There is so much love put into everything. From the character designs to the general art, every piece adds to the overall experience. Especially love the mermaids. But as interesting as your version of the Argus arc was. I feel like this is the first time staying true to Canon was your detriment. At least personally I believe that Argus is completely superficial in Canon. It feels like 1 episodes dragged over 7 and drags down canon season 6 by a lot. All Canon Argus adds is the Pyrah Scene (which I much preferred in your version), finally giving us civilians to care about, Adam's death and Ruby using her Silver Eyes. The latter two aspects would have been more interesting in Atlas. Breach? Gives Ironwood a reason to distrust Team Rwby, after all they caused it. Adam's death? I would say It is more interesting to see him interact with the Schnee family. Maybe have him stalk Weiss around the mansion instead of the hound. Then again, there is almost no way to do worse than canon here. Adam ended up completely insignificant to the main plot. And while you managed to give him some much needed backstory and plot-relevance (especially in FRWBY 4-5, not to mention derailing the train), his final actions still end up mostly insignificant. He feels more like an annoying secondary boss that distracts the main cast from dealing with the actual threat. I think Ruby taking him out is an compelling idea, but I feel like the other characters should have addressed this more. After all, if I remember correctly this is the first time any of the girls have willingly taken a human life (excluding those mooks that got thrown off the train in Vol. 2) and from their point of view Ruby should be emotionally devastated by this. If I were Yang, I would be freaked out by her nonchalant reaction. Also kinda missed the chance to have this be one of the reasons why Ruby's Silver Eyes fail. She is still in shock from what just happened. Speaking of which. The cost of losing your memories is better than what canon gave us, but I am still not sure how I feel about it. Further, I know that Team Rwby lacks the emotional connection to Argus, but sacrificing a few memories to save thousands feels like an oblivious choice to me. Realistically speaking how often is an event that necessitates the usage of eyes going to happen? She could likely get away with using them only a handful of times during her entire lifetime. Now while I may have sounded overly negative, please take in mind that my gripes with the two aforementioned aspects are only minor. The things I actually have problems with are the following. Additionally, please keep in mind that these don't apply if any reasonable justification was given, which I somehow missed/overheard. Why did Cordovin leave? Judging from how the mecha and the air-fleet performed it should have been a piece of cake to take care of the mermaids. I can see her personally not liking the people of Argus and her being a coward. But she could have watched from a ship a mile above Argus while D. and Dudley take care of the problem. Not only would she have saved billions of whatever-currency- Remnant-uses worth of mecha, she also could it played the entire operation of as her idea. It would have been one thing if the Grimm were too dangerous to fight, so her fleeing in the first place comes of as something that only happens to make the plot happen. It also results in the climax being rather anti-climatic, after all we know that this could have easily been prevented and that Team Ruby battling the Grimm is almost insignificant in saving the town. They play so little part in fact, that they are just sent away by the Atlasian military and the overall battle isn't affected. Why did the characters forget about the Grimm attracting relic? I know Canon forgot, but we don't have to stick to canon that closely around these parts. Shouldn't it be the number one priority when a breach happens? Why didn't they send someone carrying that thing away from the city? This could have been a powerful self-sacrifice moment if someone had to do it on-foot, or just a plan if they were able to do it with a plane. We know it would have worked, since the Grimm do follow it at the end of the episode. Another aspect that makes the final fight anti-climatic in my opinion. Looking back, there were two ways to deal with this problem and both were conveniently ignored. Honestly, Team Rwby is entirely at fault for everything that happens during the attack. Lastly, how can you have a Mecha without giving us the Kaiju fight... Not that it was good in canon, but it could have been so cool. Kaiju fights in general are cool. Especially when a Mecha that looks like an EVA is involved. This This is pretty much all I got. Hope this doesn't come across as too nitpicky. I still enjoyed this Volume quite a bit and am thankful for you doing this. So please don't take this the wrong way.
About Cordovin, it's been stated several times but Atlus's contract with Argus was ending and they were preparing to leave already but the point is that despite having a few days before leaving the walls and the grim attacked and Cordovin being a coward and hating the people of Argus decided it was leave now or never and get stuck defending a bunch of 'sub-species' Cordovin didn't know the relics purpose only that it was important and it needed to get to Atlus and it could potentially stop the grim. I think Cordovin just straight up didn't believe them anymore after what happened with Adam so she didn't even consider the relic. Although I don't think it was ever explicitly stated one of the reasons Ruby needed the tickets was because it was the fastest way to Atlus so they wouldn't have attracted as much Grim but clearly that was not the case.
@@feluriandelights4156 Your very much correct on all these especially about Cordo and the Relic, with the exception that in FRWBY Atlas has closed its borders, A deal with someone like Cordovin is the only way into the country without a risky attempt to sneak in somehow.
Holy shit, I can so greatly see Ruby's sonic boom. She shoots behind her for speed, crashes through the window, Weiss' glyphs just barely manages to stop them in time before they would have crashed into the equipement, they stand up, and a moment later they get hit by the sonic boom OMG I AM CRYING AT THE FACE OF ROMAN REACTING TO ACCIDENTALLY WIRING THE DETONATOR TO GO OFF WAY SOONER 15:32 This is such a great moment. As far as I am aware, in Fixing so far, Neo's semblance was like it was in canon. Where its just an image that breaks as soon as someone sneezes at it. If that is the case and I am remembering right, then this is a GREAT moment of Semblance evolution. Oh my god Ruby is doing the 1v1 tag out with her speed that is amazing and I love it. Okay, sorry, I know this has no place at all in this moment, but imagine that one time instead of Yang, Ruby switches Weiss in, and Adam BARELY misses her, Weiss has a moment of pure shock and surprise before Ruby switches her out for Yang. Like, she picked the wrong teammate. I know it has no place in a serious scene, but the thought of it makes me laugh. Oh my god, with how destructive Moonslice has been shown to be, the slow-mo works great here. Shows how close the opening was. 32:05 wait... Ruby shot him? ... Why do I feel like Roman will be there to smooth it over for her? THEY GOT CLEARANCE CODES!! Oh Roman is gonna be either disappointed for the lack of crime, or overjoyed he doesnt have to sneak into Atlas. Also the shocked face of RWBY is a great reaction image. Im really enjoying the inclusion of Malachite. Really getting past that issue of canon of just abandoning side characters. Not to mention CRDN.
I'm curious if we're going to see the white fang in atlas? You'd imagine they would have quite the presence there but it wouldn't be show accurate. They did make a reference to seina getting in contact with an atlasian politician which I had assumed was Robyn. Guess I'll find out next year.
i genuinely cant say how much i like the final battle with adam, especially since how it played out in rwby proper made me so angry, i dropped the show until volume 9 years later
I like the design of the new giant robot plus the grimm mermaids cool. Though this gives me all the more reason for my own rewrite, and it will be at the proper series with even more monsters for huntresses to fight, be friends, and become.
GOOD SHOW! JOLLY GOOD SHOW! You guys keep getting BETTER! Keep up the FANTASIC WORK! I Cant wait to see the behind the sences for this volume and I cant wait for next volume.
I know there is very likely a reason why Cordovin didn’t stand and fight. I mean based on the firepower she had at her command it wouldn’t be right to say she was a coward. I’m guessing she was under orders to prioritize not fighting under certain circumstances, or something (side note, I’m glad the mech was changed into something cooler with more versatile weapons) I’m wondering if the winning of this battle, will be the direct cause of a future loss of equivalent value.
Celtic used his 1 f bomb per pg13 series wisely.
"Fuck you Schnee." - Adam Taurus, 2023
One per season I think is the rule
"fuck me yourself you coward" - Winter
Two things I liked about the new Adam fight:
1. Weiss is relevant and apologizes for her family's actions.
2. It takes all four of them, using actual team strats, to defeat him.
3. The overall fight is more of a growth in RWBY as a team with a hint of BB rather than the canon full BB.
And they were still STRUGGLING!
@@bannerlee9590 The most growth for Ruby, the most innocent, fairy-tale hero being the one to put him down.
Better than the Original
And most importantly: HE WASN'T USE AS A PLOT DEVICE TO PUSH A SHIP!!!
EVER.
"Fuck you, Schnee."
Fucking perfect.
I’m glad Maria was kept as made as a volume exclusive character.
With the cast as it is, I don’t see what she would’ve added.
I will miss her old crone quips but I respect the decision and it’ll help in the long run.
Yeah she will be missed, but not much can really be done with her past this point. She fulfilled her purpose in teaching Ruby about her eyes, giving Yang the advice she needed, and helping Qrow get over his own apathy.
I do hope she comes back for like an episode or something and be like: "YO RUBY GOT AMNESIA YET?!"
And if push comes to shove she can be a returning character in a much later volume. Badass old lady gets a badass entrance.
My guess is, since she didn’t do a lot in volumes 7 - 9 (even the writters forgot her) but she’ll most likely be there for volume 10 in the battle, They chose to remove her anyways as it would change little to nothing
Then if needed, she will appear again in volume 10 for the great battle, since Ruby would just make her big call around the world anyways
@@andrewsung3965THAT IS SOMETHING I NEED TO HAPPEN IN THE SERIES!!!
You managed not only to make Adam a better more powerful villain, you also managed to connect ever member of team Rwby with Adam somehow
Blake: His past in the white fang
Yang: He was the one that took her arm and traumatized her
Weiss: Her family gave him that mark
And finally Ruby: The girl that killed him
And when you said ruby the girl that killed adam, the protagonist we did not expected to do it, is similar to how darthmaul was killed by obiwan kenobi back at the phantom menace.
He also man that torn down her team. Her family.
That was cinder but i get the point @@shadowclaw7210
Ruby took down Adam?
What a twist.
Also, Blake taking his sword makes me think she’ll merge it with her weapon in memory of him.
Ironic considering she was the one who had the least to do with him
Reminds me of Raiden using Jetstream Sam's Family Sword after he killed him.
EDIT:
More importantly, if Blake uses the blade, how will this jive with her overall design?
It would be cool if Adam said to Blake "If our positions were swutched... Would our fates be different? Would I have your life, and you mine?"
I'm getting motivated just reading that
Honestly blake was privileged
I love how the soldiers here were shown to be competent and well-organized fighters who still had the agency to think for themselves as opposed to the soulless drone-like canon fodder we’ve seen from the official show.
Rest Adam, you were a angry psycho but you were our angry psycho. Seriously what did for Adam is a hundred times better than in cannon.
40:54 - Inb4 this moment is flipped in V8 when Nora nearly overloads herself
"The gun's still loaded. It's not done yet, Ren."
"But you are, Nora."
That. Is a brilliant call back
The moment you said Blake took Adam's weapon I literally screamed with joy.
Seeing Adam’s face scratched out in anger gives off real Guts from Berserk vibes.
Well it's not that severs as tomura shigaraki right?
Schnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Adam is basically perma black swordsman mode here
Not only did all of team RWBY get to contribute against Adam, but they fought like a competent team should have.
Anti-militarism between humanity, not defensive security against monsters.
@@tudoraragornofgreyscot8482 if that were the case, then we wouldn’t get scenes like Marrow commenting how “but they’re just kids.” While Flynt and Neon are doing what they were trained for and fight to defend Atlas against Salem’s army of Grimm.
@@kaiserz0154 Oh, I thought you were talking about FRWBY.
I've been saying it for years and someone else finally agrees with me on it.
Like you don't just stop doing something just because it failed 1 time in a war that happened 1 time it's like saying tanks where slow and useless against the enemy in WW1 so we shouldn't use it for WW2 when In actuality the tank is THEE most important piece of military hardware for many years for specific reasons
With RWBY you need armies to defend yourself against the grim because there a constant threat having mercenaries defend your city that takes years of training is what the kids would say "sub optimal" especially with no loyalty to a state they could be bought off to not protect a settlement just because another one hated the other and said fuck them leave them to die
@@tudoraragornofgreyscot8482 that’s cool, I made just edited my comment to avoid any confusion.

Now it's time we wait what FRWBY Volume 7 have us in show
Better he dies here, than continue down an even darker path
rest in peace rwby's vergil
Best line in all of RWBY fandom:
“Fuck you Schnee”
Finally Yang uses a seriously destructive and even self-harming amount of her Semblance, always wanted to see that happen SOMEWHERE. WOO!
fixing rwby volume 6 was absolutely incredible so much fun. the thing i can't wait to see next volume is going the interreacts between Roman and Ironwood because ironwood has a lot of respect for Ozpin and Ozpin's new host is Roman. like i can imagine ironwood ordering roman's arrest and term rwby being like "Ironwood wait you can't arrest Roman he is Ozpin's new host" and Ironwood saying like "you got be joking right"
ooh that's good point I guess getting Ironwood to trust them will be really hard maybe something screws up and that's one of the reasons he betrays them
would certainly feed into his paranoia,, if all of ozpins hosts must share some charactersitics with him, it will certainly get him thinking.
Cheers!
I do hope they do something with Arslan's team it was kind of sad they way she went out in back alley and didn't get contribute much
What you all did with the volume is incredible.
Everything done with Ruby in this Volume makes me so incredibly excited to see her arc for Volumes 7-9
I mean they did still provoke a mutiny in the Atlas army which isn't a GREAT look but technically they personally did not commit the crime.
Kinda bummed as CRDL didn't get to fight in the battle. Would have been cool to see Cardin and Jaune fight side by side
I really liked that Adam felt like a threat, it took days of exhaustion for the girls to get a fighting chance, it was terrifying when he showed up, and it was great that it took the entire combined team rwby, somewhat fresh with tactics and ingenuity to take him down
Dang this was SICK!, i got so into this episode that in the Adam fight when he was holding ruby by the neck i actually yelled "KICK HIM IN THE DICK!" lmao
lol
The Adam Fight is what I always hoped for, 4v1 all out. Honestly the only thing more I would have liked is all of the girls getting so kind of scar from Adam in the fight. Thank you so much for giving Adam the fight and character development he had the potential for. Calling it now Blake is going to find Adam's mom in Vol. 7 and give her Adam's sword.
I think, his mom is dead, murdered by his father.
That was revealed in volume 5 if I remember correctly. Some suggested that Blake may repair her weapon with Adam's sword.
i thought the same, about giving them each a little cut from them tanking together the last Moonslice.
How did vol. 8 screw up? I haven’t watched RWBY since vol. 3 and I’m only now interested in fan stuff.
@@MultiBoxingKid no spoilers? Because of BS plotdevice that makes no sense
Seeing that they did the imposible and fixed Adam's character completly, I can't wait to see what are they going to do with Ironwood.
"Decadent misanthropes" she pulled that one out of her ass XD
Also I know writers who use subtly and they're COWARDS
Utilizing Barbara's reputation for in story character development, WHILE also letting her copies Adam's style with her own flair to defeat him, Ruby killing Adam solidifing her as a mature leader... Masterpiece. Thank you all.
You meant ruby
@@andrewsung3965 yes, thank you! Autocorrect XD
Adam was a beast in this volume making his strength in volume 3 relevant and consistent. Adam’s backstory makes more sense than the thin line of depth in the original. And I like the reversal between the rivals of similar powers
I know it would have killed the tension a bit, but I would have loved right after Adam grabs Ruby's Neck:
Adam: Got anymore jokes?!
Yang: I will grind you into dust if you hurt her!
Adam: HILARIOUS! *throws Ruby into the air*
Fixing RWBY Abridged?
And then he immediately gets fucking folded
Ruby: *uses her semblance to get back on the cliff*
"Surprise, bitch!"
Cinder and Malachite dynamic... I DIG IT ! One that can troll you and kill you and the other who will just kill you lol.
You really did a "Fine, I'll do it myself" endcredits!
Adam: "Just come out Blake. Just come out!"
Blake: "I'm gay."
I say option 2 due to the situation of Ruby meeting an old friend but that old friend is an entirely new person and doesn’t even know you and she just has to make peace with that
When Adam was struggling to continue fighting and Yang told him to:
"Just stay down."
I frankly expected him to say:
"I can't."
And while it would have had his usual bitterness and rage, there'd also be a tone of... duress?
I really wanted a moment like that before his end, really hammering down the tragedy; the bad end of the beast
I believe we landed on “Supernova” for the name.
32:07
Ruby: nobody insults my wife!..
Weiss: What?…
Ruby: N..Nothing!.!..
Bro Ruby getting that kill... I kinda fuck with it and am really want that QnA video to see what made you decide it
Thank you SO MUCH for redesigning the mech! Now it actually resembles the tribute to mecha anime it was trying to be and just plain looks cooler and more fitting with the Atlas aesthetic.
I gotta say, that Adam fight scene was brilliant, major Todoh from JJK vibes, very good
MY BRUTHA MY BESTO FRENDO
Damn so we just get the most exquisite jumping team rwby has ever done and then yang punches him so hard that her arm explodes? That's crazy
In all seriousness they really need to do this 1v4 strat In the actual show since its a pretty busted combo
By happier ending, iron wood attempted to shoot cinder or salem, only to be killed off by one of them correct?
Atleast Adam got a more dignified death in this one.
As a RWBY and Ruby fan, I hope she keeps her protagonist privilege 😊
Edit: and Great job by everyone involved in this process, real heros.
I can't wait to see Adam in Fixing RWBY Volume 9. ;)
This fight was amazing.
Do you think Adams death will leave an impact on Ruby in the next volume since it was her first kill?
When a samall crew making a fanmade work is better than the real thing
Ironically, this was RT back when Monty was still alive. A passion project made by a small company with a small budget creating an incredibly interesting and unique science fantasy world with awesome fight choreography.
The plot, themes, and characters were a mess when executed but it was really cool than most modern fantasy shows.
Another Volume successfully fixed, good job.
Now to slumber in wait of Volume 7.
God damn that was good. Like... REALLY good. Now I just worry for what memory Ruby might lose whenever she finally does use her Silver Eyes properly.
Wow.
I'm back at it again with my nonsense
If anybody is curious how the animatic scene would work in real time, it's uploaded now ua-cam.com/video/le6qHFWgSeo/v-deo.html
once again EVERYBODY IS SO COOL AND THEY ALL DID SO GOOD-
Loved your animatic scene one of the best parts
@@feluriandelights4156 aaaaaaaaa thanks, I try : ' D
While I think Volume 5 was *slightly* better in my opinion, this is definitely a close second favorite for me. Kinda wish Adam inflicted more damage on the team and Blake or Yang being the one ones to end him but he was a magnificent horror villain. It’s also a pity he never confronts Jacques Schnee but maybe he can as The Hound.
I mean Yang technically got the final blow to break his aura?
His aura was already broken i think, Yang just broke his ribcage, poor guy 💀💀
Volume 9 will probably stay the same but get a more flesh out story. Like having flashbacks of Alyx's journey and some Jaune center episodes.
(That I recall, I could be wrong)
Yes, Adam was a terrorist and a maniac who needed to be taken down, but that doesn't mean he wasn't just a normal kid at one point.
And *Blake.*
Adam was Blake's ex boyfriend, someone she cared for. (Insert your Arcane reference here)
Blake doesn't need to go all angst and antagonistic, but she is the least trusting of the team in Ruby's approach.
*Then there's Weiss.*
This is ATLAS.
A frickin gundam. They made the mech a frickin gundam.
Ruby's rightone at 38:54 is Rolling Gril. You were sneaky with that but I'd notice those opening notes anywhere!
The Halo music for the arrival of Atlas forces is too fitting
34.43 - that bridge in the cityscape is actually really beautiful.
I wasn't expecting Gundam and Evangelion to arrive in the episode but i like it.
23:16 Feel like he should have said "make everything "just right""
Ah, nice one 🐻
holy shit what a great finale and might I say I was actually concerned for Ruby when she was caught by Adam, I knew she wouldn't die obviously, but I really thought she would get hurt or maimed in some way.
This
This is pretty much all I got. Hope this doesn't come across as too nitpicky. I still enjoyed this Volume quite a bit and am thankful for you doing this. So please don't take this the wrong way.
About Cordovin, it's been stated several times but Atlus's contract with Argus was ending and they were preparing to leave already but the point is that despite having a few days before leaving the walls and the grim attacked and Cordovin being a coward and hating the people of Argus decided it was leave now or never and get stuck defending a bunch of 'sub-species'
Cordovin didn't know the relics purpose only that it was important and it needed to get to Atlus and it could potentially stop the grim.
She shoots behind her for speed, crashes through the window, Weiss' glyphs just barely manages to stop them in time before they would have crashed into the equipement, they stand up, and a moment later they get hit by the sonic boom
OMG I AM CRYING AT THE FACE OF ROMAN REACTING TO ACCIDENTALLY WIRING THE DETONATOR TO GO OFF WAY SOONER
15:32 This is such a great moment.
And the mechs name is cool too,
The Crusader. Damb that and it's new look slap
@@telkei3365 yeah, maybe I could use in my own story if he allows me.
Blake doesn't have moonslice so she will never be as cool as Adam with wilt and blush but she can make them her own i guess.
I’m guessing she was under orders to prioritize not fighting under certain circumstances, or something (side note, I’m glad the mech was changed into something cooler with more versatile weapons)
I’m wondering if the winning of this battle, will be the direct cause of a future loss of equivalent value.
44:42 I could not notice that that Jaune massage writes "going to Argus" and not "going to Atlas" as it was said.
Do you think Cordovan will make another appearance?
Either to get punished by Ironwood or wanting revenge against Ruby and her friends?
basically getting punished no doubt
