It Honestly makes more sense and shows she has stuff she actually cares about her now former tribe and daughter and that Honestly she really didn't have a choice only an ultimatum as she's pretty much fucked both ways.
Maybe just playfully twirling the last one around her fingers. Less risk of tonal whiplash than a cartoonish pile of C4, and makes a bit more sense, besides. Why waste time collecting up and hauling around all the defused explosives, slowing herself down with the bulk, when she can just rapidly move from one to the next, and then when she's sure she got them all, taking the last one out of spite?

Will this Rewritten series go further? As in trying to turn the series into full on animatic or even animation? It would be amazing if we could see previous rewritten volumes being edited just a tad bit to fix any issues and then animated in some way, doesn't even need to be full on animation, animatic works fine
@@danielsurvivor1372 There aren't any plans for full-on animating the entire series. Just animatics and Popsicle sticks. You'll have to ask Celtic about the idea of the previous Volumes (1-2) being redone. :P

I can't believe I'm late to this series, it was so good. Well done especially the Yang breaking down over Vernal's death, I actually teared up. Someone needs to complete that scene with voice acting. Can't wait for your volume 6.
Didn't quite fix Leo, but I don't know what I expected. His character is so broken there's not much to do. You at least put a bit more than him being scared or whatever.

Hiya! So I recently binged watched your fixing RWBY series and I want to say you and your team are doing an amazing job. I’m really impressed how well you’ve done these characters and the volumes. You and your team made the worst volume into the best volume. I love that you’ve kept my favorite moments from RWBY but made the most complicated and confusing parts into something that’s really interesting and makes sense. Love how you built the world in a way where I’m really interested in the world of remnant and it’s different cultures. You did great on the comedy and emotional drama. Loved the new character dynamics and developments, like Blake’s development and Neo and yang dynamic and Ruby and Roman dynamic. Also absolutely love the choice in making Roman the next Oz, it makes so much sense and makes things so interesting! I mean I honestly love Oscar but my goodness it’s so much more fitting it’s Roman. I always theorized Roman didn’t die, but nothing was done in the original RWBY. But having Roman as Oz is perfect! One, it fits the fairy tale so well since the wizard of Oz is technically suppose to be a con man and Roman is basically a con man. Two, it gives the previous volumes this sense of foreshadowing since both Roman and Ozpin use a cane as a weapon. Three, it makes so much sense why all the characters are so suspicious and defensive, they’re working with a criminal that had tried to kill them. It always felt weird how everyone could ignore the face of a kid when they got angry at Ozpin, but if they’re looking at the face of a old enemy, it makes sense they’ll feel more defensive. Not only that but it makes for some really fun character dynamics, Roman had me cracking up so much, especially when he’s hanging out with Ruby and the other teammates. But anyway I heard you are open to taking ideas. Well I always wanted to see Penny end up having amnesia. When Penny first ‘died’ I knew she was most likely gonna come back since she is a robot and can be rebuilt, but her ‘death’ is so emotional I felt like her just coming back would take away that emotion. So I thought that if she were to lose some of her memories, it would keep the tragedy of her ‘death’ and bring in interesting character development and plot, like Penny and Ruby rebuilding their friendship and dealing with old scars differently. It seems it could be fitting since in fixing RWBY volume 3 Penny’s hardware is damaged, then there’s a good chance there could be memory loss. But you and your team probably already thought of this and if it doesn’t fit with what’s coming, that’s okay, I still can’t wait to see the upcoming volumes. Also want to send my love to the artists, they did an amazing job, made me really connect with the scenes. Anyway I hope the next volumes won’t be too difficult for you and your team and I look forward to your work☺️❤️
I have to greatly commend the amount of patience and good writing choices with Salems slow unveiling, which gives a different feel than the og series, but it is good nonetheless. And yes, turning this volume of RWBY into something good would be truly a miracle and it was pulled off. congrats to you, the huntsmen, artists, and everyone else involved. Besides that, can't wait for volume 6 of fixing RWBY.

I guess that is unknown to us about the culture of Remnant where the mystery character has been secretly in their life for the RWBY world’s timeline, but they will make the new anime show for the RWBY series of their canon parts!🙂

Wow Ravens plan was bad. She thinks that she can destroy a godly relic with nothing more than a portion of Opin's old power. Failing that she thinks hiding it in one of few places in the world warded against Grimm will hide it from Salem. She clearly doesn't know that Grimm can sense those things so warded against Grimm or not Salem would still know where it is and be able to get it. Even if the anti-Grimm warding blocks them from sensing it that would still clue them and her in on the fact that it must be in one of the few locations in the world that warded against them, the dead zones in their otherwise comprehensive worldwide territory.
Just binged all of this series so far and I'm so hyped for you and the tundra's takes on vol 7 and 8, as far away as those volumes may be. My man Ironwood deserves way better than what we got proper.
I just want to say to every single person involved in this project that all of you are amazing human beings! Man, every fixed volume is better than the previous one. It's like the worse it is in cannon, the more you improve upon it. However, if I heard correctly, you made it so that Ozpin's previous body was Hazel's brother. That's a pretty nice touch lorewise to make his character much more interesting than just "Oh, my sister died as a Hunter so instead of swearing revenge against the Grimm, I do so against the guy fighting for humanity". But they couldn't be more physically appart. Hazel is so immensely bulky that he might as well be a Faunus for how huge he is, even if Ozpin was almost 2 meters tall. Maybe it would've been more consisten with how Ozpin looks to make it so that they were friends, step brothers, or something like that. Overall, a minuscule detail on an otherwise absolutely spotless script. Congrats, dude.

So is anyone else wondering why jaune is keeping up with everyone despite being way weaker and experienced cause I am. Also shouldn't mercury be stronger then what he's portrayed as here?
I can answer that!: Jaune only takes a support role, since he knows that in a 1v1 he barely stands a chance against anyone there. He's excellent when it comes to teamwork, being as much of a natural leader as Ruby, so it would make sense that the Lancaster duo would be very strong even if Jaune on his own isn't that good. And with Mercury, I think handling Yang when she has her Semblance active it's a million times better than anything he has done in the Original Show. He's an Assasin trained from birth who's able to handle Super-powered Huntsmen without even having a Semblance, he's not weak at all.
now I don't know if it well be enemies to friends to lovers, but Ruby and Roman have that vibe and I love it. Thank you for how well written this two's interactions through out the story are.
I have absolutely _zero_ intentions of making Ruby and Roman romantically involved. Roman already has that slot filled by Neo and I do not intend to explore a romantic component to Ruby herself, at least based upon what we’ve seen so far in the series.
Ya im a Cinder stan and i feel called out. Still like this little fanfic series. Its changed quite a bit to be really considered fixing which is why i call it fanfic series. Changing a few weapons (velvet and Jaune's namely) felt unneeded. There were a lot that were good weapon changes though. While i do like the changes of Roman and Neo... they ultimately arent fixing the problems that is how Oscar is written. Im not hating im just saying that the original goal of the series has kind of been lost at this point.
@@CelticPhoenix I think they are not using him in an effective way that helps push the story. The best they did was v8 when he convinced Hazel to betray Salem. Oscar can be an interesting character. He's a farmboy that dreamed to go and see the world. Right? Then ends up with another person that has thousands of years of life in his head. Giving the adventure he wanted. They didn't execute it well sadly. What I think would've made him a better character was.... Have him be a loveable goof that is too innocent and pure to take the adventure seriously. Having him not take the encounters and fights when they happen on a serious level. The rest of the Beacon group are learning that the world isn't all sunshines and rainbows. They could've used him as a foil to the group, to Ruby especially. Remind her as she gets older of who she was at the start of it all of who she was in V1 and V2. Oscar could fight against having Ozpin come out saying "I want to experience this all. It's my adventure" then when a fight finally happens where someone in the group gets hurt that's his fault cause of his experience being lacking which finally forces him to let Ozpin take control. Which shows Oscar has weaknesses. Make it start having Oscar let Ozpin take control in tense moments cause Oscar is scared of causing someone getting hurt again. Have the personalities of Oscar and Ozpin be very opposite. Ozpin is calculative and well experience. Being specific with his words. Have Oscar should be wild and goofy. Adventurous and ready to explore. Not serious or thinking things through. then when the moments of having Oscar's personality change when he finally lets Ozpin take control more can have a meaningful impact when he says "I'm not feeling like me when I use magic" works. It makes sense. There's actual character change and shift that has meaning. Then that can lead to Oscar wanting to learn how to fight and maybe having Ozpin finally feeling regret as the whole Beacon cast makes him feel guilty over everything he's done.
@@CawmeKrazee Unfortunately that would require _inventing_ the personality for him. Up until Volume 8, we got just about nothing about his wants and desires, and even then what we have to work with is insanely broad. He had almost a blank personality that was filled by "Host of Ozpin" most every second he was on-screen. I've already clarified my stance on this prior, but I'm not in the habit of inventing a character where there really isn't one to begin with. The simplest solution was instead taking a known character and using him as the host. But let's say I went with your suggestion and gave him the personality you detailed; we've already gone through that song and dance with _Jaune and Ruby._ We don't need another viewpoint character who's wide-eyed and ignorant to the world around them, we already had that arc twice over in different ways within the main cast. So either he's redundant or non-extant... and if he's either of those, why not cut him, take the interchangeable part of his character (Ozpin) and put it in a previously established character? One that could better reflect the morally grey nature of Ozpin and go through the same crisis of body as Oscar. That all established, this isn't to say I've completely left Oscar to the wayside. I've managed to find a place for him in FRWBY, just not the way most people would probably expect, and I highly encourage you to check out Fixing Volume 6 ^_^

He's excellent when it comes to teamwork, being as much of a natural leader as Ruby, so it would make sense that the Lancaster duo would be very strong even if Jaune on his own isn't that good.
And with Mercury, I think handling Yang when she has her Semblance active it's a million times better than anything he has done in the Original Show. He's an Assasin trained from birth who's able to handle Super-powered Huntsmen without even having a Semblance, he's not weak at all.

now I don't know if it well be enemies to friends to lovers, but Ruby and Roman have that vibe and I love it. Thank you for how well written this two's interactions through out the story are.
I have absolutely _zero_ intentions of making Ruby and Roman romantically involved. Roman already has that slot filled by Neo and I do not intend to explore a romantic component to Ruby herself, at least based upon what we’ve seen so far in the series.

Ya im a Cinder stan and i feel called out. Still like this little fanfic series. Its changed quite a bit to be really considered fixing which is why i call it fanfic series. Changing a few weapons (velvet and Jaune's namely) felt unneeded. There were a lot that were good weapon changes though.
While i do like the changes of Roman and Neo... they ultimately arent fixing the problems that is how Oscar is written.
Im not hating im just saying that the original goal of the series has kind of been lost at this point.
What exactly do you diagnose as the problem with Oscar?
@@CelticPhoenix I think they are not using him in an effective way that helps push the story. The best they did was v8 when he convinced Hazel to betray Salem.
Oscar can be an interesting character. He's a farmboy that dreamed to go and see the world. Right? Then ends up with another person that has thousands of years of life in his head. Giving the adventure he wanted.
They didn't execute it well sadly.
What I think would've made him a better character was....
Have him be a loveable goof that is too innocent and pure to take the adventure seriously. Having him not take the encounters and fights when they happen on a serious level. The rest of the Beacon group are learning that the world isn't all sunshines and rainbows. They could've used him as a foil to the group, to Ruby especially. Remind her as she gets older of who she was at the start of it all of who she was in V1 and V2. Oscar could fight against having Ozpin come out saying "I want to experience this all. It's my adventure" then when a fight finally happens where someone in the group gets hurt that's his fault cause of his experience being lacking which finally forces him to let Ozpin take control. Which shows Oscar has weaknesses. Make it start having Oscar let Ozpin take control in tense moments cause Oscar is scared of causing someone getting hurt again.
Have the personalities of Oscar and Ozpin be very opposite. Ozpin is calculative and well experience. Being specific with his words.
Have Oscar should be wild and goofy. Adventurous and ready to explore. Not serious or thinking things through.
then when the moments of having Oscar's personality change when he finally lets Ozpin take control more can have a meaningful impact when he says "I'm not feeling like me when I use magic" works. It makes sense. There's actual character change and shift that has meaning. Then that can lead to Oscar wanting to learn how to fight and maybe having Ozpin finally feeling regret as the whole Beacon cast makes him feel guilty over everything he's done.
@@CawmeKrazee Unfortunately that would require _inventing_ the personality for him. Up until Volume 8, we got just about nothing about his wants and desires, and even then what we have to work with is insanely broad. He had almost a blank personality that was filled by "Host of Ozpin" most every second he was on-screen. I've already clarified my stance on this prior, but I'm not in the habit of inventing a character where there really isn't one to begin with. The simplest solution was instead taking a known character and using him as the host.
But let's say I went with your suggestion and gave him the personality you detailed; we've already gone through that song and dance with _Jaune and Ruby._ We don't need another viewpoint character who's wide-eyed and ignorant to the world around them, we already had that arc twice over in different ways within the main cast.
So either he's redundant or non-extant... and if he's either of those, why not cut him, take the interchangeable part of his character (Ozpin) and put it in a previously established character? One that could better reflect the morally grey nature of Ozpin and go through the same crisis of body as Oscar.
That all established, this isn't to say I've completely left Oscar to the wayside. I've managed to find a place for him in FRWBY, just not the way most people would probably expect, and I highly encourage you to check out Fixing Volume 6 ^_^
