I have a rigging issue with a 2012 5.7 msq North Warp which i tried to rig with a 400 cm North Platinum SDM mast. The fourth camber up; top one was about 1 cm short of contact with the mast. Anybody got an opinion about whether this is a sign of not enough downhaul or maybe that batten needs altered ? I was trying to put more downhaul but the rope snapped so am waiting for new rope but i also don't want to break the mast by too much downhaul.
Hello! Did you try to put some spacers? The Batten Tension has nothing to do with the Cam Tension. How old is the mast? I hope i can help you Marco Lang
@@Marcolang21 Thanks for your advice Marco. I will try putting some spacers. I looked again at the sail just now and i see i was mistaken about it being the third camber that there was an issue with. There are four cambers on the sail : two below the boom and two above, so anyway it was the top one. I have tried reaching a way in to the luff pocket and it is possible to reach the cam and to get it off & on. I was using a 2013 North Platinum mast
