Thank you Carol. I made that pot. I actually have a video on my channel showing how I make them and if you are interested I sale them on eBay. Look up Midwestbonsai2022 on eBay and you will find them. Thank you for your support for the channel it means a lot.
There are some good vitamins you can give along with the fertilizer, but do not need to give it at the same time. It is called SuperThrive and it has alot of good reviews.
Yes you are correct and this soil mix I used in this video I use for my bonsai trees I grow. I’ve found it’s cheaper to mix your own soil mixes especially bonsai soil then to buy it.
Yes I would NOT go over 30% coco coir though and small size Lava rock. Of course you will need to fertilize. How many Desert roses do you have? Thanks for your support for the channel it means a lot 👍
@@Bediverer very nice, I’m working on a video showing a different way to germinate Desert rose seeds that increases the success rate. It might come in handy for you in the future.
I use a fertilizer called Osmocote Plus. It’s a slow release fertilize that you sprinkle on top of the soil. It last for about 6 months. You can see me using it in some of my other videos.
I don’t know how to send you the video link but if you go to my channel it’s my second most recent video out and it’s titled How to germinate Desert roses from seeds. I hope this helps.
Some people believe they perform better if they aren’t in to large of a pot. I personally don’t believe it matters as long as the soil drains well and provides plenty of air to the roots as this soil mix does. The main thing is you don’t want to have wet soil around the roots. It would be even worse to have a lot of wet soil in a large pot because it would take even longer to dry. Great job!
Thank you
I’ll be trying that soil mix. Thanks
I’m glad to hear that👍
Love that plant pot-where did you get it?

Looks good. Bonsai would be nice.
Thank you, I’m thinking the same thing as you.

@@carolficorilli9768 Thank you I’ll look into it. I’m guessing they sale it at Walmart or Home Depot?
You can use Bonsai soil the ones from Bonsai Supply and that will work great as well.

Nice video! Do you think that ~30% coco coir mixed with ~70% Lava rock is a good soil mix for adenium?

What nutrients do you add to it? Because I do not see where the clay and the bark have the nutrients.

Help! I cannot find the video where you plant the desert rose from seeds?
Thanks

Why did you use such a small pot? Different growers would disagree with your choice.

I don’t think so, because you just raise it up as it grows.
