Benefits is weight placement outing the heavy motor weight forward but also as low as possible. And transfer case style also helps with points when it comes to SORRCA comps.
Wish there was a single place that sourced and sampled complete LCG kits, all you need to do is go down the selection list and select the compatible part available for order. Skip the dishes style - like building a burrito with a whole bunch of options. I'm giving that idea away for free in return for being able to be the first to make my order... In all seriousness - if that sort of thing was available, they would sell so much more of this stuff. I know I would have already built one... Mind you, there is always the Vanquish VS10 stuff, but that is not LCG.
Great video summaries pretty much what you need. Only question is..is the chassis compatible with the stock SCX10 II plastics? I mean if a you transplant the chassis only is plastics from the stock SCX10 II compatible? I understand the panhard mount is the only part that will be missing?
Great video! Great in detail as well! I have been doing the same.. gathering parts. I did receive my 4.19 class 1 Ottsix KLR-M’s today. Nice to have those guys about an hour away from me! ✌🏼✌🏼
Love your videos Tim I was wondering I know u like pro build wheels if u know how narrow u can get a set of ar45 with them n what off set do u chooses to get them sucked in as far as u can like 1.5 or the 4mm thanks for any help u can give keep up the great work
I haven’t tried with ar45 but I have Capra axles and I got them in pretty close, I had small barrel out and faceplate and I’m pretty sure it was 4mm hub and it fit.
I posted a bunch of questions to your FB page I need help with first build.....please help....I know you got to be busy as heck but I just spent 600$ to try and build my first truck off of your trx4 v3 video and gspeed video.....and I can't do it alone.....if u find the time please please I got about 15 questions....also can I use a tf2 Mojave hardbody on v3.....oh I see I got to getv1c1 for a c1 build....well....I'm building a c2 then I guess lol
@@TRDAdventures I switched my order to the element builders kit and just added a creep body and landmines to the purchase from amain because I seen on your channel and gspeed the element kit.....I want portals but I think you said the element links and transmission work well with the v3.......is there anyway in the future to just buy portals from traxxas, redcat, or axial? I got a raw carbon gspeed v3 with white tjc slider (for element builders kit) dual servo tray, spacers, body post mounts, and a Lil white battery tray.........I bought jconcepts landmines, creep body, ssd steel wheels, element raw builders kit so I'm hoping those shocks, high clearance links, and stealth x will work on the v3, I just got a crawerlmaster pro brushed motor and 1080 hobbywing esc, that's everything for this purchase I plan to buy 3brc g11 and overlander winch and battery and charger next purchase I hope that's enough servo to start (if not I'll run it in my cr12) also ill get paint. @@TRDAdventures excellent. How do you feel about the Redcat PAC going onto the G3? About the same price as the 10iii straights with all the links and such
@@sailingzigzags6511 link geometry will prolly be a challenge, and really the only part of that kit you could use are shocks and axles, but the gen8 axles are pretty weak would definitely need to beef them up a bit.
@@TRDAdventures well…I’m now thinking just go with the Element kit….might be the easiest route since I was gonna use the Stealth trans anyways and it definitely works. I could use all the links and stuff off it correct? Purchasing the lay down servo mount of course

great video i want to build me a gspeed with wide portals an great chassis
@TRD Adventures whats the purpose of a foward facing motor and the one when you use a transfer case

Thank you love all your videos very good tips and tricks and helps alot
Also when building your rig is it best to try to get your driveshaft as straight as you can from axle to trans and not too much of an angle
@TRD Adventures
@@Toysojah671 it’s definitely something you wanna keep in mind. You don’t wanna have to crazy or an angle.

i have a capra and an extra 3 gear transmission will i need custom links or will stock capra links works ?
Some said stock links work I never tried. I used custom links

You can, but you it would be wider than designed, you’d still want the servo mount and a flat skid at least.
Can I use the original transmission and links from stock Capra when using V3 chassis?
You would need a custom printed skid for the Capra trans and not sure on links, I think some have done it.

i need your opinion , about itwrc shock ? what you think?
I like them a lot, run them in several rigs. Great shock imo
i need to try , if u say u like it ! thanks!
So the Ssd trail king doesn’t use a spur gear. If I get a yellow jacket motor would that tranny and motor work on the g3 chassis
The YJ should fit you might not be able to use the scale motor cover

Can I or do I need special shock adapters for v3 chassis if I want to use trx4 sport stock shocks until I can upgrade?

Sorry, currently on a work trips. But the Gspeed V3 chassis is SORRCA legal for class 2 or 3. The trx4 shocks will work.
And yes you can use the hardbody either drill holes for body posts or using the gspeed V3 hardbody sliders

Love your videos . Very informative. Would the 15%OD Element axle be too much with the TGH 2.low trans ?
That would out your about 45% od total. That’s a bit high for what I like personally
Would love to see a list of parts used. Thinking of trying a gspeed build myself. Thanks

What size spacers are using?
Chassis spacers? The gspeed spacers are 67mm
