FLR has way more utility right out the gate, and much higher ROI based on rewards. I love SGB too though.

The one reason I might disagree would be due to f assets. That will tie up a bunch of flare and cause a huge demand. I can't wait to find out.
Good point Matthew. I believe there would also be a subset of F-Assets on the Canary Network that uses Songbird.

@@DeFiDivvy Yes, S-assets, and that whole system will release on Songbird first. And so many will want to try it out to learn before it launches on the Flare network. That already will give some benefit to price, at least in a short term time frame.
But realistically, we must consider that 90% are users and only 10% are developers. In that case, why'd anyone must vested on SGB if they're not developer? Unless it gained hype, but overall and at the end, $FLR is a good to go compare to $SGB.
Always remember that the process wasn't mind by the consumer/user, but the finished product itself, this leads us to reason why $FLR first to invest, and if you have already $FLR and you're satisfied already, then you can do what you want like invest on SGB, etc.
Lower SGB supply, lower price compared to FLR at the moment, and the kusama performance is why investors will target SGB.
As dApps like Pangolin and Sparkles grow there will be more non-developer eyeballs on both tokens. SGB has the smaller supply.

For ever 10 SGB i have 1 FLR token.
Most are chasing the FlareDrop so have exited SGB for the higher FLR rewards.
Its the Hare vs the Turtle race and we know who wins. The unexpected turtle.

I totally agree with 98% of what you said but there are two things you said they were wrong and it’s ok. Projects do not necessarily have to launch on songbird first and second there is no risk when you are delegating to one of the signal providers listed on the FTSO. Pangolin and others (dapps)… yes a little. And I do agree that Schwartz is wrong as well. 😊
SenorSteak, thanks for the clarification: My mistake - you're right projects are not 'required' to start on Songbird. I misinterpreted variations of the statement "projects must start on Songbird first" that I've seen from members of the Flare Community. That said, I don't think I'd use a project that didn't launch on Songbird first. Regarding the second point about risk: I wasn't referring to increased risk by delegating to Songbird signal providers. I was referring to how there is more risk in deploying capital to DeFi protocols built on Songbird vs Flare. For example, a liquidity pool on Pangolin/Songbird in the early days may have more smart contract bug risk than a liquidity pool built on Pangolin/Flare, since the latter has the bugs worked out. The increased risk for deploying capital to protocols built on Songbird should in theory come with increased reward potential for assuming that risk.

Figured out that the little thing that looks like a piece of a puzzle is a Metamatch launch.

The sgb is finished product and now there is flare, why are you talking about dead sgb ? flare is a real actor and winks at you 😉
Polkadot has 113 x more coins than Kusama, whereas Flr has only 6.6 x more coins than Songbird. That's why kusama is more expensive per token than polkadot by such a margin because it's supply is so much more . The same won't happen in relation to the flare, songbird.

Thanks for clarifying GTF. It's true. I view those projects as more vulnerable to bugs. I won't deploy capital to dApps not live tested with SGB first.
