Also I don’t know but I just noticed this but in “the deepening” they dig a hole to trap the shark. And put dirt on him. This hole is near the resturant so could this be where the carnie was buried? And it was 6 years prior because the movie was probs written in 2019 so about 6 years prior that episode was written . That’s my head cannon at least
Fr some critics were like “they didn’t do enough to make the animation better and more cinematic than the actual show” and I was like uhhhh do y’all all collectively need glasses or some shit?
I feel its actually a detriment to the movie. The show tends to have a much lower budget, choppier animation. I would have expected the movie to lean into snappier, more expressive animation. Instead it feels like they just rotoscoped a 3D rendering of the film and threw some fancy shading on. Its a lazy kind of quality that makes me think they just wrote a very long episode and let someone pump extra budget into it. Really hits me with a soap opera effect in some scenes. I love Bobs Burgers, and find its style charming. But this kind of sucks the soul out of it in a deceiving way. Like those AI videos that increase the framerate of animations. More frames does not make better animation, better movement and keyframing makes better animation. The small improvements work best. More expressive characters, better framing, less stiffness. But they really went overboard and overrendered this movie to hell in some places. I wish it wasnt as bad as it is. 2D is dying off due to negligence already, and this feels like a final nail in the coffin for it. 2D animation is some of my favorite work, but whoever handled the art direction for this movie either didnt care, or doesnt understand animation enough.
1:39 First, nice to see they found a new thing to do, after the carousel got torn down and second, the way Bob was rather uninterested, but chimed in with Tina, when she said weeee, is amazing
Anyone else cry at the part where they were stuck in the hole? I mean they weren't only literally stuck in a hole but also metaphorically and financially. But they're all in it together sticking it out and it made me cry so much 😭

0:51 "Cops don't dance around like that" So all the musical bits actually happen? This is a world where people can break into song? Was the musical number only in Mickey's head? I have so many questions!
In the show they sing all the time! (I don’t mean like every second but they have at least 1 song per episode) its just a normal thing to break out into song to sing your thoughts. I don’t think its actually happening but that its in their head. Though the mickey and carnies part might’ve actually happened
Linda in the beginning is definitly singing to cheer up Bob and it works. The kids are kids and sing to the way to school but some parts we see at the school are in thèir imagination. The Lucky Duck Song is real. The dance moves alone show that it is some amateur fun. (Maybe with the help of some happy juice) Grover is a weirdo that sings without reason as you can see by the faces of his hostages. (The flashbacks are visuals for us)
The one joke that I didn't expect to make me laugh the hardest was the stupid exchange between Teddy and Bob when he had the cart. "Wow! I've never eaten outside before!" "Wait what-?"
Omg you don't have the part that made me laugh the most! When they are in the car chase scene and Tina makes eye contact with Grover. Funniest shit ever lol

My personal favorite: "You botherin that nice police man?" -Critter in the scene where Bosco is staking out the one eyed snakes And also "AHHHHH OLIVE BAAAR!!!"
the whole treehouse scene was hilarious, especially tina trying to roll under the bed and felix's call with fanny some other parts I liked were when the crime scene guys throw stuff at bosco to leave and when tina yells because they crash into the horses
When Fischoeder opened the secret passage by giving the Poseidon statue a nipple twist, I let out a very audible "HA!"...that and the line, "This is the old daycare and bar...little tykes could not hold their liquor". Which is just...enjoyable Fischoeder chaos.
