My name is Eric and I travel with my cat, “Jax” in a 2001 Chevy Fleetwood Tioga Arrow 24D Class C RV. We travel about 45 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round. Here are some popular questions asked:

I've traveled IH40 a bunch over the years, seen those places, never able to stop being a trucker.
Sad to see the old tourist traps dissapearing one by one. Nobody stops anymore, they never see them, they're too busy looking at their phones rushing down the highway.

Clean your aircon both cars and RV section. A fungues that lives in aircon can make you feel like that

P.S.- If you get to the Quad Cities (Davenport,IA/Bettendorf,IA./Moline, IL/ Rock Island, IL.) in June or July, we would love to take you to River Fest. It is a series of outdoor concerts. (Blues Travelor has been there). There are plenty of places to camp along the Mississippi River. and historic sites to see. In Dubuque, Iowa (90 miles North), there is an indoor waterpark and a Mississippi River Museum too. We are 3 hours from Chicago. You need to see it!!! Just saying...

I know you delay the release of your videos but if you still have that cough after 7-10 days then you don't have a cold and you NEED to go to a doctor.
Hi Eric! Love your videos! That second to last stop at the metor city, the dome structure was on the movie Starman with Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen. It was once a restaurant I think.

The building said mountain lions...and next to it was a cage, as you are finding out, it was not unusual for there to be road side attractions on route 66 to increase business...could have had mountain lions caged there. Take care of yourself, my office is coming down with a cold type similar to your type One person is going on two weeks now! Good video. :)
Eric go to the convenience clinic ask for tessolon pearls. It will not go away on its own you have been sick too long.
Rhonda Smith tessalon pearls are the best for spasmodic cough, I use them frequently. I think Eric might just need a doctor, this is too long for a cold.

Eric, I was thinking a couple videos back when you were getting sick, that it could be allergies. Now you walk thru those old ruined buildings with the insulation hanging down and I wonder if you may have breathed in some fiberglass or mold spores. As windy as it was, you never know. Try some allergy decongestants and see if that helps. Pack in some Vit C! That always helps too!

Eric, I would consider going to a Dr. There are Tele Dr's you can talk to online and they will call in an RX for you to your closest pharmacy. MDLive.com is $49 for the Dr. visit. OR I think CVS has some stores that have Nurse Practioners working that can write you an RX for something for your cough. (call ahead) If you have a virus an antibiotic will not work but you should keep an eye on your cough. You probably have bronchitis. Take care! BTW I wouldn't be going in those crack places. God only knows that is on the ground.(needles, poop, pee, puke,etc) You don't want to be walking in that and tracking that crap into your home.

I love the movie references. To continue the Jim Carrey theme, Eric has some things in common with Truman Burbank from The Truman Show, namely his great attitude, and the audience living vicariously through his daily life.
Actually I hit the road as much as I can...and I'm road tripping this spring and summer all over. A month ago I went to Yosemite which was mind boggling beautiful due to all the rain, snow melt which has given us gorgeous waterfalls every where...and then last week I was at Jenkinson Lake up in Pollack Pines...so nice.
I've also driven down Route 66 long time ago and it was very cool...So yeah, I'm diggin Eric's journey, but I'm journeying a lot myself. ;-)

I really enjoy your videos. Those old ruins were definitely not late 18th century. The very oldest European building in Arizona is Mission San Xavier del Bac, and it was built in the late 1700s. Also, the Winslow crater is different from the other ones in that it's a meteorite crater. The others you've seen are volcanic.
Question for you Eric, who is going to take care of Jax while your in the Hospital ? That cold has gone on long enough and for you to still have a sore throat is not a normal cold. You need to see someone who can legally put MD after their signature. Please go so we can continue to see your videos and most of all for Jax and yourself. Thank you

Bard To Death it's scary, when he said he still has a sore throat, well that shouldn't be. It's been too many days. He needs a throat culture to check for strep. He's going to end up in the hospital if he doesn't get checked out. He needs some meds. Jax would probably end up in an SPCA. How sad.... I have no idea of their laws if a situation would occur where the owner couldn't care for him due to a temporary illness. I wish him the best.
I know about budgets and all, but it may be time to consider seeing a "doc" with that cold.. Love you guys,,, travel safe!!!!!
John Greer he should go to an urgent care and get a chest xray something seems more then a normal cold.....no fever and dry unproductive cough may be a sign of pulmonary edema going on which can occur when u go up in altitude

I have been on Route 66 several times with my family (before I-40 was put in place) and one of the most abundant souvenir/gas stops was "whiting Brothers". These gas stations had all sorts of "tourist" type of attractions and each one was different...I remember one such gas station had a concrete pit full of rattlesnakes another had teepees you could walk in and around. Since I-40 I haven't been on Route 66 in 55 years...please report any sightings of anything that might have "Whiting Brothers" signage on it, it would be a real memory refresher for me. On another note, you might want to see a Doctor if this cold continues... Take care of yourself, I enjoy your travels and the videos of the many places you visit.
Loved the video, Eric. It's fun to see such interesting abandoned buildings up close. Glad you got out of that smelly room with all the insulation and stuff hanging from the rafters. Probably full of bacteria and heaven knows what else. "If you can smell it, you're breathing it in."

Eric as you get closer to Santa Fe, I recommend stopping at Bonanza Creek Ranch. Tons of Old West movies are filmed there. Just call them for a tour, my wife and I did and it was just us two alone on the tour.
Any driver who sees a piece of sharp metal or a nail or something on the ground in a parking lot or ANY place where a vehicle might drive, and doesn't pick it up and put it in a safe place Is kinda stupid, in my opinion. simple solutions. Like littering. Simplest way to clean up litter is to STOP INTRODUCING IT.

Eric, I am recuperating from pneumonia, which started with a cold like yours. It is pretty bad here in Missouri. This is one the flu shot missed. You need to get some antibiotics in you from an Urgent Care or whatever your insurance will pay for. Take care.🌡💉💊

Took me longer than usual to go through that video because I had to posit to try and find photos of the original structures. I found some good ones of most of the places including an interior shot of Meteor City. I couldn't find any original shots of 2 Guns Kamp. To me, that's was interesting: comparing the current condition to the way the place originally was. Hope you're feeling better by now.

Mix honey & lemmon juice in a cup of water and drink daily as much as you want to build up your immune system & hopefully cough will stop. Also at night rub some Vicks on bottom of feet & put socks on to help ease the cough.

Eric, you need to find a walk-in clinic to rule out bronchitis/pneumonia. You don't have a cold, but probably a bacterial infection.
You may have walking pneumonia. May need antibiotics to get rid of it. I had it and did not know it. Lots of coughing too.
