Love the concept of the game. I hope they keep making more content and I'll try to suggest ideas in their discord. Boss is a bit disappointing. It needs something more like another phase where you a items back. Or better yet, a bunch of phases where you get a few items back each time.
@@MewtwoStruckBack That's not how that works. The patents were for game mechanics that predate palworld. It doesn't mean Palworld owns the rights to the patents, it just means that the Pokemon company missed the boat when it comes to filing for them.
I'm still not really buying into the idea that you should just be allowed to patent game mechanics and stifle other developers from using them for 20 years. I feels like we've blown a bit past the line of just copyrighting ideas outright. It's a very wrong direction for society to go in. It's not like they outright just made a pokemon game. It looks to me like they made a game that Nintendo (edit: I mean "The Pokemon Company" of course) WASN'T making and probably wasn't ever going to make.
had an incredible seed the other day where I had 9 hearts going into floor 4 and lost it to a curse that required buying items paired with almost no rupees for 3 floors
Had a great see today with 9 hearts as well and full attack and defense. First item I bought was the 20% rupee gain. Made the entire run so easy, except of course the boss, which I got 4 hits on. Sigh.
The part I find funny is how everyone still thinks this game is going to be taken out by Nintendo. Pokemon Infinite Fusion has existed for YEARS (their Discord's first announcement for v2.4 was in April of 2017!!!!), and it hasn't been even LOOKED at by Nintendo and/or The Pokemon Company with any malicious intent (not to say they aren't likely grumbling about it internally). And you'd figure it would have been a PRIME target, when you consider that something like Pokemon Uranium got hit. But it is all in execution: - Don't do anything to make a profit off of it (Pokemon Uranium and AM2R both botched this) - Don't step on the toes of a project that is coming out (AM2R was a victim of this too, as it was just before they launched that Nintendo announced Samus Returns: Metroid II for the 3DS) Nintendo is not going to make a Link to the Past, or even LoZ in general, rogue-like. No more than they will make a full, proper, LoZ Dungeon Maker (they won't). Nintendo would have come after the ALttP PC Remake already, but there is no grounds to. Or the Zelda II Enhanced Edition. The most they MIGHT be able to target this game with, is asset use (art and music). And that can be fixed two ways: 1. Community sourced replacements (ie: Pokemon Infinite Fusion's method) 2: "Supple your own legally acquired ROM to upload the assets from", like the ALttP PC Remake does Dungeons of Infinity isn't going to disappear. It will stick around for quite some time, when there is far older, far bigger, far more popular, fan-games that still exist too.
Made sure to download this game right as I saw this video before it eventually gets taken down, I’d recommend everyone else in this comment section with a pc doing so to, Nintendo can’t take the game off your pc
You think if you collect all the magic pendants before you reach the final boss you might be immune to his magic and be able to keep all of your items? Just a thought...
Okay, we need people testing the bug. If you teleport, while invisible just before you appear again because you ran out of magic, does it always lock you in an invisible state? Further, does teleporting stop the cape from consuming magic ordinarily?
I wonder if in the new flight simulator if the plane door will fly off mid flight. Maybe Boeing will try to assassinate you for whistle blowing on there product. 😂
The boss is a boss. I get how much of a shot to the pills it is to get there and lose everything. I have gotten there and lost everything. But to be fair, they don't take everything; you don't lose hearts and I've been focusing on maxing those out for the final battle.
Just for the record... That cape glitch is known and already fixed. I assume this was from a stream from awhile back. Also sprites are a thing now. You can take any randomizer sprite, or you can edit anything. I've been playing as Celes, Chrono, Deadpool, and more.
about the Pocketpair (PalWorld) v Nintendo. I'm looking forward to seeing the video that will be coming from Moon Channel. He does great legal analysis of the video game industry. among other very cool topics. Everything is long-form so I hope you like a video that is longer then a hour.
I live and work in Kyoto and it's quite complicated. Sure, a lot of money flows into the economy from tourism, but very little of that actually "trickles down" into the hands of local individuals. Also, as poo mentions, the more tourism that comes into the country, the higher prices become due to demand rising exponentially but supply staying relatively the same. I earn yen, not USD, as my company is a Japanese company, and the cost of living has risen for me quite significantly within the last five years. So yeah the "economy" is doing well because of the influx of tourism, but actual individuals are not seeing any real benefits from that.
There is a point where the infrastructure needed for tourists becomes more expensive to maintain than the revenue they generate. Plus, there's only so much space.
If you re-implement everything you get to choose your tool: What game engine, language, external libraries, etc. You can do waht ever you like, with what ever tool you desire. A romhack on the other hand forces you to take the original game and platform (SNES) into account every step of the way. Checksums, byte padding, maximum rom size, etc. Integrating new features is hard, because every bit of new data needs to be integrated into the existing rom and mustn't violate technical limitations. And you will write everything in assembler, without having the luxury of accessing the original commented source code. Honestly, it's a miracle the comparatively simple LTTP randomizer works at all. Rom hacks are not simple at all.
laughs in hex code... go ahead and open up a rom and look at the raw code for these things, and then tell me how doing this is easier. Oh, and the fun part? As you get your hands dirty (IF you can find what you're looking for) you come across all sorts of bizarre limitations that change your plans that you couldn't have possibly known or prepared for. For example... I was trying to do a SNES Super Mario Kart hack, and was only at the part of making new sprites and getting them into the game. Sounds easy enough, right? Then I learn that in this game Mario and Luigi share the SAME sprites from the neck down. Then I find out that each of the drivers SHARES a palette with another (Mario and Toad, Luigi and Koopa, Peach and DK Jr., Yoshi and Bowser). Gee, looks like everything I planned now has to change because of an obscure limitation. Oh, and then for some reason the palettes for the characters aren't stored in one single location; they are stored at a different location for EACH track. Have fun finding the needle in the haystack! All the graphics are compressed, so you have to decompress them, etc. Just on and on and on with nonsense and EACH different game you look at will have completely different random limitations.... it's just NOT worth it for the sake of your sanity. You will spend years and learn skills that won't translate over to anything else when instead you could be learning a relevant coding language on a relevant engine.
I mean, they could probably just make a patch file that when applied to the original game ROM, it produces this executable. Even though it's not technically a ROM hack, they might still be able to treat it like it is
No worries, if you beat the electric spark force field protecting you from the bad boss battle, you win!
disheartening to watch a player at the level of poo look like its me playing at the final boss.
hahahha

The kicker about the Palworld Nintendo lawsuit is that 2 outa the 3 patents were filed AFTER palworld was out.
So shouldn't that automatically revoke those patents and give them to Palworld?
@@MewtwoStruckBack That's not how that works. The patents were for game mechanics that predate palworld. It doesn't mean Palworld owns the rights to the patents, it just means that the Pokemon company missed the boat when it comes to filing for them.
this actually is incorrect. the US patents for them were after Palworld was out. the original patents were just after Palworld was announced.

You could try to force Link to eat them. Then, maybe.

Yup. That seems like the glitch. haven't reproduced it though.
It only happens when you enter a teleporter with the cape at the SAME time as you run out of magic. And it was fixed in the latest version.

wearing cape and using teleporter caused it
