Great content as always. I took and chance on a used 2015 Lincoln MKZ and it still runs like new, so I'll definitely take a serious look at the hybrid version of this.
We went to a car show in KC and we sat in every SUV and this was by far the best one we sat in. We will be purchasing one when they start becoming used.
Love that we are moving forward to one day never leaving our couch as it will just slide into a remote opening next to the steering wheel. I wear glasses for distance. I think the screens would be at the perfect point of being just close enough where I couldn't read them with my glasses on.
Watch out for screen separation! I also see lines to the far left and right edges. The displays still work, but the illusion of a single screen has been shattered.
To be honest, msrp for Nautilus in the state is way too expensive. In China, this car is competing with X3, Q3, GLB rather than X5, Q5, GLE. So its staring pricing was actually at 40k rather than 50K (49,557$ for slimiar spec as tested in vid)... which was quite a lot of car for this amount of money. But unfortunately, it's still a hard seller... cuz at this price point is bit of awkward: because you can add couple grands for European if you fancy about the brand or can grab a top of the line Mid/Full-size SUV from local brands, which could provide simitar or even better experience (i.e a loaded, soft riding with nice interior people mover). So yea... Nautilus is bit of weird for what it is

Just built one with a couple of medium packages and it is just over $80k (Canada). If I was buying a premium SUV, I'd just buy the BMW X3 M40i with the Premium package for about $600 more than the Lincoln, or a number of other options, many of which are less expensive and better in most ways.
the X3 would be considerably smaller and less comfy though. If you want to squirt around in town and feel somewhat sporty the BMW is the way. The Lincoln is not a competitor at all.
@@jacyedwards4452 Yes, I know the X3 is a bit smaller, but I just mean it's similar in price and a much better vehicle in every way. I'd gladly sacrifice a bit of size for a much better vehicle. I don't buy vehicles by the pound or volume. Perhaps that's how Lincoln thinks many will shop?

I don't know about anyone else, but I am perfectly fine with using my Smartphone on speaker phone using a suction cup. And, believe it or not, I am athletic enough to roll up my own windows or lift a lever to move the seat. I get it! This is a Lincoln. People who buy Lincolns want luxury. They don't want to do anything physically, like step on a gas pedal or brake. But I'm just talking about car companies in general.
I’ve always wanted maps and speed to be in line of sight. This is a design that should have happened decades ago. The Prius 2nd gen was good with speed sight. There’s already a 2022 Lincoln going for $14k by me and only has about 60k miles. My family has had many used Lincoln’s that for some reason last ten times longer (hyperbole but you get the picture) than their original ford counterpart yet offer more than ford.
Test drove this - I thought it was overpriced for what it is. The screen is impressive and it is a comfortable ride. But it should be $8-10K less based on what it competes with.

However, this is going to make an amazing used buy in 2-3 years when you can grab is for 30-40k fully loaded.
And if you wait 5 years, fully loaded it could hit 25-28k
@@justSTUMBLEDupon And if you wait 6-8 years you can get one for 15-25. What is the point? Just get what you like and what works for you at the moment. There will ALWAYS be something better and a better bargain around the corner.
Do you perhaps have a place where all your sound testing is compiled in one file?
The "Painful Erection" article pulled up in the infotainment for so many shots 😆
Hard to think of a luxury brand that has improved more than Lincoln. This the Aviator and the Navigator are all on par if not better than the European competitors.
And when you realize the half baked Lincoln MKZ was discontinues just 4 years ago in 2020, this is a HUGE step forward. Bravo Lincoln.
I had a good run, but it's time to call it. I'm old. I hate everything about that vehicle.
I like how they flatten the steering wheel so you can see the screen
prioritizing things that matter
@@polaris911yes seeing your mph is important in a vehicle
I love the subtle things throughout the video...I shit myself as a song, the box of Vegan is Believing... Keep these well crafted videos coming!
Great review, Revel Ultima is the real deal!
Great content as always. I took and chance on a used 2015 Lincoln MKZ and it still runs like new, so I'll definitely take a serious look at the hybrid version of this.
What are those speaker looking grills in front of the right wheel (left wheel from camera perspective) at 4:48?
Weird. Does look like a speaker. Maybe it adds extra tire squeal to your understeer
My guess it's speakers for the reverse bong noise on hybrid models and they just keep the same part for the gas model.
Likely the pedestrian sounds for this hybrid model
4th gen Prelude interior.... Ahead of its time.
I was thinking of the Lincoln Mark8 dash.
Best detailed review of the car, thank you!
I've never had a big problem with Ford product driver ethos. It's just their engineering, and material quality that has bitten me.
What a name, Nautilus
Excited to see ALOT of these at the airport drop off terminal at La Guardia
We went to a car show in KC and we sat in every SUV and this was by far the best one we sat in. We will be purchasing one when they start becoming used.
Seriously who’s gonna buy this with this price?! Lexus RX AWD(optional) is a fantastic option in this range.
A matter of opinion.
I think the Lexus styling is downright ugly
Love that we are moving forward to one day never leaving our couch as it will just slide into a remote opening next to the steering wheel. (Which will be controlled from the remote control we are holding while reclining on our couch. )This Lincoln would actually put me to sleep. Maybe I can dream about CHI-EE-NAH while reclined.
I wear glasses for distance. I think the screens would be at the perfect point of being just close enough where I couldn't read them with my glasses on.
May have missed it, is your press model a hybrid w/ adaptive dampers?
Watch out for screen separation! I’ve got a 2024 Lincoln Reserve III, it’s only three months old and I just noticed today that I can see that an ugly line that has now appeared between the two halves of the screen. I also see lines to the far left and right edges. The displays still work, but the illusion of a single screen has been shattered.
Hey, that’s my favorite song @13:40!
So yea... Nautilus is bit of weird for what it is
Lincoln Nautilus: I listen to Bach but couldn’t afford the Bowers and Wilkins’ Nautilus.
At the end of the day, it's all Harman's world.

Be unique and get a BMW i3
@@AK_Catholic_Traditional That's unique?
One of my former co workers says he dealing with issues on that panoramic screen daily on customer's vehicles. I see they still haven't got the "driver's car" feeling still but I was always told that wasn't who they were after.
It’s not supposed to be a dynamic driving experience. It’s supposed to be a gliding Lincoln.
Yeah, after the midpoint in the video, that seems to be forgotten.
Was this the vaunted Cineplex Edition?
Well Done.
This whole screen thing in vehicles is going too far. I'm starting to get annoyed by it. I want to drive a car, not a TV.
I love to see a review of the last gen RLX
Looks like a win to me! Cheap maintenance and a hybrid system copy of the prius that can go 250k trouble free miles +.
Yeah I think the hybrid system in these is a joint effort from Toyota - I think Ford has been doing that for years with the Escape/Fusion hybrids too.
@@chynacash3138 so the first gen hybrid system 2004 to 10 was a Toyota hybrid system. The fusion and escapes had no issues going 200k to 500k miles in NYC taxis.
The 2012+ hybrid system was Ford's in house design was a reverse engineer of the modern Prius. Large amounts of used hybrids with 200k plus miles.
Sorry if you’ve done it but I would love to see your video comparing sound systems. It’s going to be a big factor in my next car.
That really is one of the vehicles of all time.
Toyota sienna needs 8 inch ground clearance and its a must buy
Calm mode turns off the giant screen. Lincoln has shown dramatic improvement in recent years. My 2023 Navigator has been incredible.
Glad I picked up a Mazda before they too go down this ridiculous path of SCREENZ.
Unless I'm listening to music, or need the nav - I usually have the screen off.
It's still hard to believe that cel phone use is rightly banned, but large screen tv's are now in vehicles.
We're supposed to be looking outside of our vehicles when we drive.
Seems mad to have a row of transmission selection buttons but the HVAC is on the screen. It does look like one of the better screen designs, but that's damning with faint praise.
Can anyone think of a worse decision than stopping well over $50k on an upbadged Ford Edge with a big screen?
Maybe being an elitist car nerd like you
I wonder if they will advance the technology for the refresh by adding a giant 70-inch screen on the top of the roof (facing the rear) so everyone behind you can see all of your instagram posts, audio selections, etc
If I was looking for a mobile sound system, this would make sense, but it's silly to choose this over Genesis for everything else.
Wow 😂 that intro! I sir, am a Xennial… I feel seen lol … ready to forgo my adventurous Subaru Forester and get something fresh and sophisticated 😊
I bought a2024 Lincoln Nautilus having trouble with brakes Rotors rusting after washing car or in rain overnight makes noise when applying brakes. I was told to ride brakes to get off rust every day Lincoln won't correct my problem just get run a round .I think Rotors not made of correct material.
Just built one with a couple of medium packages and it is just over $80k (Canada). If I was buying a premium SUV, I'd just buy the BMW X3 M40i with the Premium package for about $600 more than the Lincoln, or a number of other options, many of which are less expensive and better in most ways.
But if you get an off lease lincoln in two years it’ll be a lot cheaper than the same thing from the Germans.
the X3 would be considerably smaller and less comfy though.
@@jeffer1101 That is subjective. I wouldn't consider an X3 better in anything but driving dynamics. Comfort, style, options definitely go to the Lincoln but that is more opinion than anything. Infotainment system is definitely more advanced in the Lincoln though.
So you know the Lincoln is in the 50s starting.. so the M40i is 10K more. You have to compare the 30i in price first.
3:00 that didn't go unnoticed
Exactly! 🙂
Hey guys, what's the weight distribution of the nautilus 2.0t ? Thanks
Does it come with clear coat swirls by default or is it extra $$
Oh the dealers throw that in for free. They swirled mine up terribly after removing the transit stickers. Looks like they washed it out back with a dirty shop towel and mop water.
Do you want to drive or look at screens?
More screens please
They use these to cart around the residents at my mother's assisted living facility. Because Lincoln.
This supposed to be clever? Try an insult that was written in 2004.
This car is the exact opposite of what I look for in a car. Lots of screens and poor dynamics. I like no screens and great dynamics.
Exactly.
Damn son just get a Blackwing Caddy
Cool. Then don’t buy one.
@@JackSmith-qi7dr I don't need you to tell me that.
And just what are "great dynamics"?
Honestly, if I was buying in this range, it would be near the top of my list, specifically as part of a 2-car garage. If I could only have one vehicle, it wouldn't be on the list.
I thought the EDGE was on a Fusion platform that evolved from a Mazda 6 platform. The Lincoln Corsair uses cast aluminum control arms at the rear, very different from what the Escape uses, even though they are platform mates.
You are correct.. Edge was CD6 and this is CD2. the new Edge and Edge-L in china are CD2 though.
Good-looking vehicle-- one of the best out there, give me 80% less screen, a regular dash, a regular shifter and some semblance of a dynamic suspension and we're good!
Friggin car companies! They are continuously trying to turn a car into a smartphone with wheels.
It is amazing the amount of rolls commenting that Lincoln is somehow non-existent when one of the more memorable car commercials is Matthew Mcconaughy
I respect your videos a lot lately because you’ve been very real and honest about every car in general.
Greetings from suburban Chicago!
Where's the built in printer? I require it for creating my important business documents while I'm driving to high level meetings.
If I didn't have a Millennial income I'd absolutely drive a Lincoln. I love my subdued vehicle designs and want a cozy daily.
We got a Lincoln Corsair and absolutely love it
I’ve always wanted maps and speed to be in line of sight. This is a design that should have happened decades ago. The Prius 2nd gen was good with speed sight. But otherwise looking down or right to see maps or speed is shit. And HUD is inconsistent. Anyway, my favorite thing about Lincoln is anyone can afford one after a year. There’s already a 2022 Lincoln going for $14k by me and only has about 60k miles. My family has had many used Lincoln’s that for some reason last ten times longer (hyperbole but you get the picture) than their original ford counterpart yet offer more than ford.
Rather than the gimmicks, I think Lincoln should focus on reliability and build quality.
Did you test the standard power train or the hybrid?
Are those breakers under the center console lid??
Thats the cartridges for "digital scents" perfumes.
I do 💙 a good screen!
Test drove this - I thought it was overpriced for what it is. The screen is impressive and it is a comfortable ride. But it should be $8-10K less based on what it competes with.
Haven't been in a single Ford / Lincoln vehicle in the last 6 years or so, that wasn't giving the owner some kind of issue with an electrical system.
I’m only here to help the algorithm cause Savagegeese gives us the truth on vehicles
Hey Goose, thanks for turning me on to the musical stylings of Pee Pee Man
When you have the buy “American” luxury and the Escalade is too big, this is the one to buy.
But is it really luxury without a Breitling clock and crystal gear selector?
This video is so majestic with that Bach background music.
I have never heard a B&W audio system in cars, but I hate their home audio speakers so much due to the annoying and unnatural brightness. They are so disgusting that I feel my ears will just start bleeding.
It is also a pretty similar story with Focal.
They are made for people that hate the music and love the torture.
I'm an audiophile and always like warm or neutral speakers, like Sonus Faber, Haberth, Kef or Dynaudio, powered by McIntosh, Pass Labs or Accuphase.
According to your description, that Revel system seems to march my audio taste.
Never even heard of this til just now.
