I test-drove a 2024 Nautilus today, and the engine and road noise were much louder than those of my Audi Q7 and BMW X5. Even with the stereo turned up, the road and engine noise were very perceptible and annoying.
Greetings from oakville Ontario thanks for the presentation I am currently waiting for the hyundai tucson phev 2025 as the mitsubishi outlander phev handle 7 persons big for my lifestyle
Hi @carswithSteve, I have really enjoyed your reviews of the Nautilus. I'm currently waiting on my 2025 and trying to suss out whether the Viso heated wiper blades are still going to be included on the 2025 model year. The recent owner manual released for 2025 seems to have removed part number WW-2505 and is only indicating replacement for WW-2506 (for the driver's side). Not sure if they are still heated but have changed it up to an insert replacement part only. And if they aren't heated any longer....are they still the Visoblades (that deliver washer fluid along the entire blade)? Somewhat disappointed about the automated parking ( I used it infrequently on my 2017 MKX - but really enjoyed using when I needed to do some tighter parallel parking).
Thanks Rick! Exciting about the new ride.. how did you spec out your Nautilus? The 2025 model does have heated wipers still across all trim levels but I'm unsure what types of blades will be on the 2025s as they haven't landed at dealers yet. I was surprised that they decided to get rid of park assist, especially since all the sensors are there, tres bizarre
Wow, so fully loaded! Great call on the hybrid.. I've been in more of them lately and love them. It would be great to get some more EV mileage out of it but the existing range is a good start
@@CarsWithSteve We received our 2025 Nautilus last week. Can now confirm the blades are not Visoblades any longer, the chrome stripe in the rocker panel has been replaced with a black stripe (even on the reserve model without jet appearance), but we do get one themed version of rejuvenate included which is cool. Very quiet, quick to warm up in Winnipeg weather (so far), and love the longer range with the hybrid.
It's an intelligent AWD system, similar to last years model. It's the transmission of the Nautilus hybrid that's different.. eCVT instead of a fixed 8 speed in the regular 2.0 L
@@CarsWithSteve Thanks for the reply. I probably not clear in my question. Put it in another way, does this new Nautilus has a second motor that drives the rear wheels? Thanks in advance.
@@CarsWithSteve Appreciate it. We are considering the new Navigator with the long wheelbase. On such a large vehicle it is important to us, even just parking it in the garage. Since the Nautilus and new Navigator share so much I was watching to get an idea of how the Navigators cameras would be.
@CarsWithSteve, I think you already know I'm a Lincoln fan, so this video was a fun watch. I have to say, while I'm still a bit old school preferring Internal Combustion Engines, The Hybrid Electric seems to be gaining in popularity. I read an article yesterday that Oliver Zipse, CEO of BMW, delivered a message at the Paris Auto Show that the EU needs to cancel the upcoming 2035 ICE ban. Apparently, full EV sales have been dropping precipitously as European buyers are trading them in on cars with traditional IC engines. If it's happening in Europe, I have to believe it's happening in North America, too. Which is why the Hybrid Electric has a competitive advantage over full electric. It isn't hamstrung by all the drawbacks full EVs come with: limited range on a full charge, performance affected by cold weather, fewer lithium ion batteries translates to a reduced risk of fire, charging time vs. refueling time, etc. I think the Lincoln Nautilus hybrid will likely impress people who want reduced carbon emissions but aren't prepared to go through all the daily hassles of a full EV.
I just had a chance to read that article! I can't see countries being ready for a ban of ICE vehicles, the price point isn't anywhere close to being affordable, infrastructure isn't there yet.. it would be a nightmare. Plus the ICE ban is only for regular passenger vehicles, not trucks, ships etc. Sodium batteries are showing some promise but something new is going to have to come in order for a switch to an ICE alternative to make sense. Hydrogen if they can really maximize the tech? I think if the Nautilus was a PHEV it would be more promising, there's something about getting fully electric mileage with a gas engine backup that is pretty great
Very nice but I think I’ll keep my 2016 MKX with the 3.7 naturally aspirated with 303 hp clocked at 166,000 miles and counting, no issues and oh yeah…it’s paid for 🎉😂❤
Hi Steve When You Will Be Able To Reviewing The 2025 Volvo EX30 And 2025 Lincoln Aviator And 2025 Range Rover Velar Please Could You Reach Out To Nissan Canada For The All New 2025 Nissan KICKS SR Premium
Hey! The Aviator shoot is coming up soon, hoping to have the video up before the end of the new year. Haven't been able to connect with JLR Canada for the Range Rover and Jaguar lineup and the Kicks is on the list when it's available for media.. most likely in a few months
Depreciation is just one factory that people might look at when they buy a car.. there's brand loyalty, individual tastes and potential discounts to consider too

Hmm.. which version of the ride did you test drive?

Hey! Don't think I'll have access to a 2025 Tucson until the new year, but its definitely on the list to review once I get the chance.

Is this new Nautilus using an e-AWD or traditional mechanical AWD like Explorer's and hybrid Escape's AWD?

Ah, misunderstood the question. That main 100 kw motor drives both the front and rear wheels.
Thorough review but would have liked to see the back up and 360 cameras. Looks like they will be small on the screen.
I cover that off in the infotainment walk through --> ua-cam.com/video/iufwCn6QfWQ/v-deo.html
@@CarsWithSteve awesome thank you!
Watched your whole video and the cameras popped up for a split second and you swiped them away.
I'll keep that in mind when I shoot an updated video for the Nautilus! Didn't realize the 360 cam is a feature people really wanted to see

Nothing wrong with that at all! Curious.. have you run into any issues with your MKX?
@ I haven’t had any issues, just regular synthetic oil changes, and tires when needed.
Nice, that's what I've heard from most owners too!

Lincoln depreciates more than 50% after 5 years.Better to get the Lexus RX 350 or a Toyota Grand Highlander.
