    Yeah nice one bro it also helps to block end of hose with thumb immediately after blowing, builds up pressure in the tank and then release thumb to allow better flow 👍

    A much easier way is to pump the hose up and down into the tank while covering the hose with your thumb as you pull the hose up then push the hose down fast cover it with your thumb quickly then pull it up again. It will work every time.

    • @physiofred
      @physiofred 5 років тому +1

      Yo Man - my (limited) understanding of the science behind it suggests that your method would also be effective.
      The object is to make the air pressure in the hose less than atmospheric air pressure. You would achieve it by directly decreasing the air pressure of the hose whilst Aussie Overlander did it by increasing the atmospheric air pressure in the tank relative to that of the hose by blowing into the tank all the while covering the tank’s exit/entrance.
      Sound stuff! Thanks for the tip.

    BS, I tried with a tank 75% full and it simply doesn’t works! Simple: a cloth/rag is not airtight! BTW the guy release the pressure and don’t put his finger on the tube: it CAN’T works, because air return to the tank and there is no pressure to push gasoline outside this way! I tried with rubber instead rag and make sure air can’t flow out, but it doesn’t works better.
    Theoretically it would works but it’s too uncertain and should depend on the type of tank and design.
