I love Adam being a fanguy about cosplays like this.
You really see where his passions come out.
I used to be a hiring manager for large call centers. My favorite question to ask was about hobby or obsession. I didn't care what it was, I just wanted to see how passionate they were about something.
I loved meeting people like Adam.
Oh, and yes. I really like who Adam is. I didn't know how much he was into cosplay. Makes me appreciate him even more.
Lumecluster's work is just breathtaking. It was so amazing to see these in person.
That mask is absolutely stunning. Looks straight outta dark souls, its beautiful!
That's how I got here. Saw it in a thumbnail somewhere and thought, is that outta Dark Souls? Gotta investigate.
More like out of Bloodborne but yeah got that vibe.
@@martinbudinsky8912 Nah its waaay more infinity blade. that game had a clear emphasis on feminine face masks.
I do love how adam follows up with artists he really does love cosplaying and everything to do with it and I love him for that
How fluidly and freely Melissa's motions are says so much about the quality of her designs.
Insane craftsmanship. This is the next level of cosplaying.
Just wait until she activates the hidden fog machines, LEDs, and Bluetooth voice.
Yeah, if you take the real medieval plate armor and the person who really know shit about medieval armors that's the result. From 13:00. ua-cam.com/video/q8DaGHL8WzM/v-deo.html
I love how Melissa Ng combines the sheer artistry of her work with the engineering and optimization of the materials and design configurations. Her trying to expand the way we look at how we can wear those pieces is true vision.
Right!
I'm just waitin for the day when Lumecluster comes out with a full suit of armor. That'll be the day I start wearing armor out to town.
I be the second in that list haha.
Might get shot at by some dumb gang banger kid who doesn't have a clue.
I for one welcome our new Alita overlords ❤️
They should hire Melissa to make a proper Batman suit for the movies with good mobility, especially the head/neck.
So great to see Melissa back and Megan’s work shown as well. I’ve know Megan for years and she’s an incredible maker. They’re such a great team together!
This is great. The closed-eyes on the mask give the over-all appearance a very unsettling feel, and I love it.
I remember someone saying a few years ago how they'd like to see armor brought back into mordern day as fashion accessories. I liked the idea so much that I started looking for clothing designs that matched that idea, and this seems exactly in line with that thought.
Now we need capes to make a come back hahaha
@@ambuknight1567 Just bring it back, who cares who else likes it. You would look fabulous😄
@@theTrend7 but we must be aware of our surroundings for the Incredibles brought a Valid point. "NO CAPES!" So we have to have safety lines of useing a cape. Lol
Great costumes :) Always so fun watching videos of Adam asking other cosplayers about their costume designs and all that jazz
Lumecluster is such a genius of design
Beautiful artistic creations, and I love Melissa Ng's attitude to sharing knowledge/skills with others -- that's what makes the makers community so good!
her armor looks great, im kinda getting a 15th century german gothic armor feel, very nice
I was going to say the Old Republic era myself...
*KOTOR **_not_** SWTOR.*
If I recall correctly, she worked with Ian Laspina (Knyght Errant, he has a youtube channel that is good) to actually figure out how historical armor looked/worked to inform her own designs. That's why it both looks good and actually moves correctly, it's based on stuff people had to wear in life-or-death combat.
That's exactly what she based most of her armor on.
Lovely design
I love that her fantasy armors are also designed with practicality in mind, very modular, and fashionable.
This stuff is FABULOUS!!! It is so exciting to hear about the work she does!!!!
Just wow. The magnets, articulation, all of it is just so astounding.
Love catching up with this gals progress through tested videos, so cool!!
Oh man, I missed her, and showing off some amazing stuff too. That is super cool. I love what she's doing with this.
This is such inspirational stuff. Great work Melissa. Also, HI MEGAN! =D
Everytime i see some example of Lumecluster’s work, my mind is blown to pieces. So beautiful, so exquisite and such durability! 😻
Just oozing with artistic talent. Thanks for the update.
She is very talented..I enjoy seeing her work
Amazing, beautiful work! You are truly an artist!
Beautiful craftsmanship, thank you for sharing this demonstration. Wishing you the very best for your future endeavors.
What Quality. What perfection! flawless and ready for production!
The MOVEMENT in that armour is INCREDIBLE and it’s so shiny! I love it
Wow!!! The costume really cool and a technical accomplishment.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing!!! I love that scratch resistant coating along with the modular design
As someone who’s made my own (much crappier than shown here) armor,
This both blows my mind and gives me so many new ideas! This is crazy and a insane amount of work and I love it all so much
Lovely work. Both looks great AND has excellent functionality.
The thing that impresses me the most about Adam doing these interviews and the praises he gives the designers/makers of the costumes is that unlike many of the makers of cosplay who are either enthusiasts and/or hobbyists who have some design/artistry background, Adam is a industry professional who has worked on many Hollywood movies in the design and manufacture of model making, props design and build and costume build. So when he praises a cosplayer for their design and effort, this is not just some long time hobbyist/enthusiast giving them praise, it is a seasoned professional from the movie industry, something you rarely see today because many in the industry are either too busy to give you their time or are just not interested. Adam goes out of his way to make time, which is very note worthy.
I've been following her since the first showing of the gauntlets. Can't wait to afford a pair
Just a thought? But people in Hong Kong would love the armor and masks, might want to tell her that? Thanks.
@@cherylsibson8457 They aren't really functional.
@@banjobill8420 well, just a thought, anything is better than facing blows to bare skin, things are turning for the worse, just a thought, oh well.
@@banjobill8420 what if they were made to be functional.
Ok Adam geeking out at the inside of her elbow shows that you really know a thing or two about armour! love the vid, love your work and love the enthusiasm!
Her work is so amazing. And I looooooove the inside of the elbow joints, that's really impressive.
What a joy. To see people who love what they do, and do it so well... it's incredible.
this is so cool! love seeing original costumery, i wish i had the confidence to build something like this
Now that gal is a master artisan. Love her work!
That gorget is so cool too! I've always wanted to make body cast clothing, now you can do it with 3D printing rather than body molding.
Such a big fan of Lumecluster and Megan D. I've been acquainted with the latter for 'bout 5 years now and her sewing is just top notch, also super cool to hang out with.
Melissa's work is always amazing
Cool jacket with the shoulder armour style for suree
6:50 - "It's articulated..." accordions pauldron casually.
ME: jaw hits desk.
I know. I couldn't believe it either.
Absolutely amazing work from these women.
I really appreciate the dedication it must take to do a large portion of the interview whilst muffled by a mask.
I’d love to see her take on Azula from Avatar the last airbender.
this girl has the right idea. Her armor should be in fashion. She's so smart
Just amazing work
I'm sure I said this last time too, but those are amazingly beautiful, and I would absolutely get a set and wear them on regular days if they weren't so expensive.
Her work is incredible! Such attention to detail. It is wearable art!
I LOVE it, this is going to change the cosplay world :D Melissa's designs and creative solutions are exceptional. Also I love how excited Adam gets over that inner elbow ;P
Her thought process is nearly more interesting to me than what she made, and yet it's her amazing design and fabrication skills that have displayed her thought process so clearly! Definitely going to be successful. 🙏
Amazing work
I love it! I make chainmaille! I have a cuff on each wrist one is 5” long the other is 6”long I have worn them in this length for 4 years now. With no clasps... I put them on with pliers. Both are 8 oz. just different size rings
Fantastic work! How were the blue parts done?
Wow, what great role models for young people. I can't wait to see what they do next.
How soon until she is drafted by Netflix or Amazon to do costume design for an Asian cyberpunk series. Something close to Into the Badlands
Almost all of cyberpunk have that Asia flairs to it. If you think more on the side of eastern classical cyberpunk, I guess a live action Afro Samurai, Gintama (albeit gag anime), Dimension W, Samurai Jack. I think Live Action Afro Samurai would be most suitable.
Wow such beautiful work. That mask is so cool and slightly terrifying.
Wow!! It looks so real..
She’s so amazing. Her work is glorious yet she’s always beta testing and still has her eye on making her pieces part of regular fashion. She put an anti-scratch coat on it even!
I've been wanting to see that movie forever!
Great protective wear for multiple uses, scaters, acrobatics... Wonderful inventive possibilities!
That is some brilliant work
I knew when I first saw her with just the Arm that she would continue to make cooler and cooler stuff!
Personally, I would *LOVE* to see Lumecluster's take on Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077!
i love the lace look of the mask!
I can see her making a fully wearable Domhall of Zena cosplay 😱🙌
These ladies are smart & beautiful. Excellent costume innovation!
really beautiful!
It looks so sick I love cosplay armour
I freaking love her stuff!
Nice to see Melissa Ng more comfortable in front of the camera. Great armor
You inspired me to make costumes on youtube. Thank you for the great videos sir
Me as well
This is a cosplay from my dreams.
Fantastic.
she's fucking awesome. seriously inspirational.
I love it!
Incredible level of costuming
Wow beautiful love to see it made out of steel
What's the armor made out of?
The mask made me think of Mordred's armor in Excalibur...They aren't really that similar, but I think it was the eyes that made be flash back to the gold armor with the wavy metal hair.
So beautiful, you could base an entire movie aesthetic on this look. Or maybe just the bad guys. Kind of like what H.R. Giger did for Alien.
OMG amazing
Super cool!
Even if you don’t totally get cosplay you can’t deny the quality of this craftsman ship and genius of the design! Get this girl an engineering cert!
Amazing!!!!
You ever wonder if this design could create new spacesuit possibilities.
This is ground breaking.
Thats some incredible armor
great!
amazing
That's gonna be an epic cosplay
fine craftsmanship
Insane !!
A Bucky inspired motorcycle jacket would be cool af!.
She's so damned smart; I'm beside myself with how impressed I am.
I love the mask! I want to make them in metal
Holy shit! This girl is just insanely talented.
