    To answer any questions about the concrete’s strength, it’s 3000psi rated concrete with reinforced fiber mesh throughout the entire slab, with a 4” base and 12” footers. According to Adam from Chobee it should be plenty strong enough for a lift in the future, but worst case if not he’s more than happy to add depth for where a lift will go!

      @diiviinemedia any concrete that can be pumped has to have small rock so for it to still be as stronge they have to use a different mix so it's stronge but ends up being stronger

    I can understand running a tad bit short but these guys ran out 2/3 of the way there… did they not account for the footings? Whoever measured for concrete is responsible for that terrible cold joint. Also 4 inch concrete with no real reinforcement is not enough for the lift.

  • @ThatsLeoYKnow
    @ThatsLeoYKnow Місяць тому +10

    Is it deep enough for the lift anchors? I remember whenever we installed ours they had pretty strict guidelines for even a 4000kg lift. Also a minimum horizontal distance from post to other concrete anchors or edge of concrete. Anyway, hyped for you to have a workspace of your own!

    I have a paver driveway leading to my garage and it is very convenient to back out of the garage, wash the car and blow dry it, then pull back in to finish with a detail spray and wipe. Your plumber should be able to easily (and cheaply) get you some water to the garage for a wash sink and your power washer. Oh, and still less grass to cut!

    So interesting not seeing rebar used across the entire slab. Im assuming there arent any hoists/lifts going in and it simply just needs to handle the weight of two cars and some storage. But still interesting to see how other countries do it.
