    New Kemper Owner here and Running it when not in monitors through a peavey slant 412 with V 30's through Boss katana Mk2 Head 4 cable method. The katana is a power A/B Supply sounds and kicks like a mule!

    You should try recording direct one day, it’ll be easier to make out the fine details in the amp profiles. Sometimes in the room mics get muddy because they can’t handle the excessive bass.

    So, you can play through a 4x12, I have a Kemper & a Matrix power amp… would love to just use my 4x12 w/o using anything else!

      Plug the Kemper into your poweramp and use your 412 cabinet. Just make sure your cabinet can handle the wattage of the specific Matrix you own.

    Man I had an Axe FX one time it was difficult to use. Is Kemper user friendly? How do you install profiles?

    • @louistorres
      @louistorres  2 роки тому +1

      Move profiles to a USB drive, plug USB to the back of the Kemper, import and that's it. Super easy.

    Oh shit Kiesel love. 3 in can't stop now. Got the next one all built up on their new virtual builder, but really haven't fully broken in the last one. Kemper or Quad, one of these is my next toy. love yer demo's, keeping my wallet lite and my shit eating grin wide. How can tone make you so happy?

    • @louistorres
      @louistorres  2 роки тому +1

      Hahahaha! Yes! You know, legit bro, the Quad Cortex has some issues and they may need some time to work through the kinks. It seems like the QC is better than the Kemper, so maybe hold off for now. The Kemper is incredible right out of the box, no issues and more profiles than you know what to do. That being said, the QC is new but has a few issues that you should check out on the Quad Cortex Facebook group and see what you think. :)

      @@louistorres I bought the powered kemper. Does pretty well I also have a mesa power amp that I've used for other endeavours as well. Just the 50 watt mesa.

    I want to hate on Kemper but damn those tones were sick

    • @louistorres

      Gary, legit... These amp profiles are ridiculously great! I have a few different profile suites that I bought but these are, without question, the best I have. I honestly think running a Kemper into a tube poweramp and out to a cabinet is everything. In that case, the Kemper is literally just the preamp section with 12AX7s. At one point, as i was testing these profiles, I cranked my PA50 and laughed! I was shocked at how clearly and loud it was! The biggest complaint is how these Kempers sound anemic and I have to agree but the sweet spot, I think, is with a tube poweramp section.

    Tube poweramps are where it's at for the kemper. I'm running a fryette power station

    • @louistorres
      @louistorres  2 роки тому +1

      That Fryette! I've been wanting one but don't know how to use it bc it's an attenuator/ poweramp. I should watch a few videos bc dudes love that Power Station! :)

    • @muleblues71
      @muleblues71 2 роки тому

      @@louistorres easy peasy. Set the volume on your amp and use the fryette as your master "volume"

      @@muleblues71 I bought the version 2 from GC but found it too bright. I believe the version 1 has a presence control on the back. I’m still looking for a poweramp for a modeler that sounds great.

    Got this pack for the Quad Cortex and was blown away. Easily the best captures I've heard so far.

    • @louistorres
      @louistorres  2 роки тому +1

      Luke! I'm glad you have them and yes, I agree! I have a bunch of different profile suites that sound great but these were hit out of the ballpark!

    • @chrismears2312
      @chrismears2312 2 роки тому

      I’m getting my QC today hopefully, how much eq and gain adjustments can you make on the captures?

    • @michael-jillianfox3049
      @michael-jillianfox3049 2 роки тому

      How different were all the patches? These in the video sounded very similar.

    • @lukehenderson
      @lukehenderson 2 роки тому +2

      @@chrismears2312 For all captures you can adjust gain, volume, bass/mid/treble - all of which can be used to alter the tone somewhat, but not overly drastically. I adjust the eq to suit the pickups/tuning I'm using, and the gain to further saturate the tone. Out of all the captures I have, I've found this pack to require the smallest amount of tweaking. For IRs, the work incredibly well with Ola's "The One" Mesa/V30s that he just started selling.

    • @lukehenderson
      @lukehenderson 2 роки тому +1

      @@michael-jillianfox3049 They are really different, especially considering the pack is 90% high gain tones. For example the Revv 120 feels/sounds nothing like the Fortin Meshuggah, which is totally different than the Fortin Cali. The only similarities are in amps that are also similar (5150 and the EVH amp, for example)

  • @TimsonThunder
