Thank you for giving the warning about being an oversupplier! That helped me because I was a "just enough" supplier for the longest time until my milk eventually lowered substantially. I loved that you gave out the warning and I still watched the full video! The warning just mentally prepares some of us! Glad your doing so well and have learned so much on this journey❤❤

I thought my supply was going away when my baby was 4 months so I EP’d for a week and man was that no joke! Pumping is so much more work than breastfeeding straight from the source. All the power to you for staying on this journey!! I eventually figured out that my supply is fine and switched back to breastfeeding and baby is now 6 months.

I am using momcozy, the newest one! It works really well for me. I have been breastfeeding for 8months now absolutely love it ! I pump and nurse. I mainly bag my morning pumps and then i bottle the rest during the day and then i nurse at night. I use the milkmakers milk lactation cookies as well as take liquid gold to keep my supply up!
Love your method! ❤️❤️ thank you for sharing!

I completed a year of exclusively pumping and I remember all those dreaded pump sessions, but looking back I’m so proud of what I did. It is definitely challenging but it’s so rewarding to see what our bodies are capable of. Now I’m pregnant with my second and I’m going to try harder to exclusively breastfeed since I was able to do the pumping journey. But both methods are super challenging and definitely have their pros and cons.

Also, I really enjoyed my Spectra for my night sessions since it’s bulky and has the nightlight. But for my daytime pump sessions I really enjoyed the Ameda Mya Joy Plus. It’s emptied me pretty well and it’s on the lighter side. Both pumps did require pump parts repurchases throughout my year journey. And I also had to experiment with different flange sizes! Something they did not teach me and had to learn on my own after a month or two. That made the biggest difference in my supply.

The whole feeding part of this video is such a blessing because I’ve been drowning myself trying to keep up with my baby girls feeding and I’ve been feeling guilty supplementing with formula but I’m definitely going to try this!! 😭 a week after I had her I was pumping about 12 ounces every 3 hours and feeding her on top of it

I’m a fellow oversupplier with a fast let down and my baby (6 weeks) breastfeeds every 2-3hrs and requires up to an hour of de gassing after each feed. Only waking up twice in the night to pump for up to 45 mins sounds like an absolute dream. I get between 3-4 broken sleep a night if I’m lucky. I have been considering exclusively pumping as I’m giving my baby colic and this video has made me realise pumping may be less taxing. Thank you!!

I was an oversupplied too and my little one was really struggling and it kept getting worse. I looked up oversupply on LaLecheLegue and tried their recommendations including block feeding for 48 hours. It worked like a charm and got my supply down to where she didn’t struggle anymore

As a c-section momma silver is wonderful with healing I used this stuff called silver cloth I think and my ob was amazed at how well and quickly my incision healed and now almost 2 years later it's almost completely non existent I have almost no scar I can barely even be able to find where it was if I didn't know and as a heavy set woman it helped keep all moisture from being anywhere near my incision which in my case I was worried about because that was one of my main sweaty spots. And any other time I scar pretty badly anywhere else so I give the props to the silver cloth

@@Incityandinforest I bought a pack of the silver cloth and used them for about 3 weeks you constantly keep it on changing it like every 6 to 12 hours depending on if your incision is leaking any fluids at all then change more often but being I was 312 when my daughter was born and being very heavy set at that time i only changed mine every 12 hours and I had staples which normally tend to scar the worst and I literally couldn't even tell you visually where my scar would have been and it kept it so dry my obgyn was amazed especially with me being morbidly obese at the time don't get me wrong the a C-section recovery was absolutely thee most dreadful experience I've ever been thru and I've had multiple other major surgeries

@@MNB2014 hi there! Labor and delivery here to say it actually is true! While every woman is different in the supply that comes in, it is true that pumping will help to increase production due to the increase in stimulation that stimulates the oxytocin hormone which is in charge of the milk let down ❤ the oxytocin is also why you may feel crampy when you begin breastfeeding/ pumping 😊

I breastfed my daughter for the first 3 months and then had to switch to exclusively pumping. I am now starting to wean at 11 months because my supply has completely tanked.
EP is NO joke... Way harder than breastfeeding, for me personally. It's been mentally and physically draining (no pun intended), but I'm so thankful I was able to do that for my daughter.
    Good job and good luck!
PRO tip! Look into your insurance. Mine covered my breast pump (the same blue spectra you have), extra pump parts, AND 90 milk bags every month (I could get Medela or kiind, both great brands!)

My baby is almost 6 months now and I originally planned to exclusively pump because I wanted to be able to keep track of what she ate too. I never got a supply though so I had to get her on formula which was really sad for me. I really had a hard time coming to terms with it. However I do really plan to exclusively pump with our second!

I am exclusively pumping and not feeding at the breast. I am at home all day with her but with my first two babies I was not able to keep up with breastfeeding and switched to formula because it hurt so much and I was not properly educated on how to take care of it. I started to feel the pain again while breastfeeding her and that’s when I decided to exclusively pump. It does take a lot of time and I do agree that money spent on all of the needs for pumping probably costs as much as a few months of formula BUT I also think it is the most incredible thing being able to feed my daughter with my own body ❤

  • @EmiPie93

I use the dr brown’s formula mixing pitcher for my breast milk - it helps mix the fat into the milk when I’m prepping bottles & bags! My youngest is almost 7 weeks old and I’m on the same page with needing to get another freezer, I bought one and it’s almost full already 😅 I definitely don’t have an over supply though!
Also - I use the motif Luna pump at home and on the go (at work or around Family & friends) I use the momcozy s12 pro & it works well, the suction & cycle speed is an insane difference from my plug into the wall one 😅

I have to exclusively pump because my twin girls (born full term) have a hard time latching. In addition to my supply dropping because they couldn’t get all the milk out of my body 😓 (so I’ve also been building my supply back) I definitely get missing the closeness of breastfeeding. Ever so often I will latch my baby girls. I hope to transfer back to breastfeeding when they are bigger. If not I will continue to persevere down this path.

I’m going to bottle feed mine with formula just because I couldn’t do it and it’s so much harder and so much time wasting on pumping I love people for doing it but I would rather get a prep machine and have my boyfriend help me that way and I am so un confident to get it out in public and I also want to stop me from having low supply or any supply and not have the stress so I’m definitely choosing bottle feeding with formula and I know I could pump but I am a forgetful person so I wouldn’t remember to pump before or pump at this time so it’s so much easier for me to formula feed when she comes out 😊
