I think Vicn's mods also deserved a spot on this list.. while technically not "new lands mod", Vigilant and Unslaad ( i haven't played glenmoril) both add new massive worldspaces and I'm not even gonna get into the gameplay aspect of those mods. They're always in my load order.
@@enragedbard I would put Beyond Skyrim Bruma in its own tier above every other new land mod. Why? When I first played skyrim Bruma is the first dlc mod I tired. I truly regretted that because every other dlc mod I tried after are just lackluster in comparison.

The main worldspace mod ive always wanted to try is the grey cowl, especially with all the new retexture packs people have made for it have made it amazing looking. The mod itself has so much addon potential to make the town an amazing place full of quests and things to do as well as just the desert in general.

wyrmstooth, grey cowl , new vominheim, moonpath elsweyr , project aho, northpoint ,phenderix magic world, the shire, warden of the coast you missed! i wanted to know about them
Wyrmstooth is really good. Project AHO is worth at least one playthrough. Well made mod. Though for it to make a bit more sense play it without having become the Dragonborn. You're see when you start the mod.
@TheCorpsehatch Like, do they assume you're the Dragonborn or not? It affects which character I'd play it with. I have 12ish: 1 dragonborn and 11 Non-Dragonborn
@@enragedbard It doesn't affect the actual mod itself. There is no mention of Dragonborn in it that I remember. Mostly agree except for Beyond Skyrim which is S tier for me. I don't understand how they are able to make the game feel exactly like vanilla Bethesda. Impressive.
As a big LOTR fan, I have a thing for The Shire. It's not the best by any mean, but adds a good quest in the Tolkien universe. Building my own Hobbit's Home was great
@@enragedbard i think you'll enjoy your time in the shire! it's fully voiced, big land, player home, romance options, some nice LOTR inspired gear... the mod page says it adds around 30h and they're quite right!
@jregju I've got this big ongoing story on my channel, but I have a mechanism for non-lore-friendly mods. The Thalmor messed with time and dimensional magic during The Second Great War and it caused a lot of non canon monsters to come from other universes. And Solaire. 😄 TLDR I can hop over to Middle Earth at some point 😁
grey cowl of nocturnal is technically a new land mod and has even lots of other mods that overhaul it even further and is generally one of the most unique land mods given its a desert
I don't understand Summerset Isle's placement. I mean I understand if it's placed biasedly, but objectively its a solid mod with amazing worldspace and decent characters. I would put it somewhere between A and B considering all the bugs/crashes/unbalanced enemies.
Great characters? Nobody wants me to do anything after a couple of quests. And Chanterelle made up for its lack of quests by tons of cool things to find. Dude's got a terrible attitude about criticism, didn't ESMify the mod with several hundred thousand references. He even made demands of Zeroperiod, who took his video series down. Sure, the worldspace is fine. But I don't want to go back there.
@@enragedbard yeah the author seems very unstable tbh, imagine being able to have beef with someone nice as George. That being said, I played Summerset isle recently, he made an ESM file (although idk what it does). Characters are just ok but the building is rly amazing and theres some quest here and there. I also love the fact it includes follower in new land mod.
@rashta5817 I tried it when it first came out. It just dissuaded me from coming back later. As far as ESM, you have room for about 1.2 million temp references, which can be added by mods or stuff that happens in your savegame. ESMs don't contribute to this limit. If you hit the limit your savegame just breaks. Huge new lands and quest mods contribute greatly to this number if not ESMified, basically giving you a much lower ceiling for how long your savegame lasts.
I'd personally add Northpoint and Darkend in as both solid B tiers. Both of them are well crafted worlds, with no real quests but a lot of dungeons and visual story telling. In all honesty both and Northpoint and Darkend are just open air dungeons but I still loved them. Also the cool thing about skygerfall is that the mod author was so faithful to the original dungeons, that the original guides for that game still largely work in the dungeons.
Summerset Isle is the reason I searched for this video. The world itself looks awesome and with a lot of potential. Some towns look unfinished, but that can be upgraded if the autor decides to invest more time. But for me, the biggest problems are the Crashes and bugs... that completely ruined my experience and I insisted for over 20 hours. I really hope to play it again in the future, if it gets fixed and more polished.
I hate summers isle honestly. The world itself looks cool, but there’s nothing to do in it. The towns are pretty sloppily made as well and every single quest, is a god damn fetch quest
@@enragedbardWell, the terrain is interesting but after some time it gets tedious to simply explore. IMO beyond skyrim is S tier. It's small sure but it is probably the only new land mod out there right now that feel like it's professionally made.
