You work on projects like i do... "i was going to make that but.... life" 😉
Yep yep. Glad to see you, hopefully feeling a little better?
I think Vicn's mods also deserved a spot on this list.. while technically not "new lands mod", Vigilant and Unslaad ( i haven't played glenmoril) both add new massive worldspaces and I'm not even gonna get into the gameplay aspect of those mods. They're always in my load order.
Vigilant is pretty great, but I'm mainly focused on things where the New Land is central. Also I haven't finished any of them.
Vigilant would be Vanilla plus with Elder scrolls lore bending knowledge.
Glenmoriel is a Darker Vigilant with Bloodborne mix and surprises.
Unslaad is the Dragonbreak Back to future past storytelling.
As per variety in Newlands
1.Gelnmoriel (unfinished)
2.Vigilant
3.Unslaad
And Glenmoril ❤❤❤
I'll be keeping this video in mind once I start adding quest mods. Thank you!
This is a great resource. Thank you for putting this together.
The main worldspace mod ive always wanted to try is the grey cowl, especially with all the new retexture packs people have made for it have made it amazing looking. The mod itself has so much addon potential to make the town an amazing place full of quests and things to do as well as just the desert in general.
That was one of the first New Lands I played! Gonna be in my next one.
I love your reviews on these mods. they are direct, show what you liked, what you didn't and still let people make their own decision!!
IMO beyond skyrim is S tier. It's small sure but it is probably the only new land mod out there right now that feel like it's professionally made.
As a whole including the quests, definitely. Also if it's any indication of the full releases, I'm very excited.
@@enragedbard I would put Beyond Skyrim Bruma in its own tier above every other new land mod. Why? When I first played skyrim Bruma is the first dlc mod I tired. I truly regretted that because every other dlc mod I tried after are just lackluster in comparison.
@@rashta5817 The lack of a main story hurts it in my mind. But it's an excellent proof of concept. It does what it sets out to do - make me want them to make more.
I can see if you did it early on you'd be disappointed with GCON and such
The quest line you get from the captain is the guard is the main quest.
@@atticusgalt10 Ya, I played through it here. 😄

I love for new land mods! Thanks for the tierlist! I wonder how many of them I can run at the same time before crashing on load
They mostly shouldn't conflict unless their entrances are at the same place. So, 254?
@@enragedbard I'm testing them one by one still, just in case. But I'm glad to hear they shouldn't conflict.
wyrmstooth, grey cowl , new vominheim, moonpath elsweyr , project aho, northpoint ,phenderix magic world, the shire, warden of the coast you missed! i wanted to know about them
Well I haven't played most of those 😆 I will be doing Elswyer next time
Wyrmstooth is really good.
Project AHO is worth at least one playthrough. Well made mod. Though for it to make a bit more sense play it without having become the Dragonborn. You're see when you start the mod.
@TheCorpsehatch Like, do they assume you're the Dragonborn or not? It affects which character I'd play it with. I have 12ish: 1 dragonborn and 11 Non-Dragonborn
@@enragedbard It doesn't affect the actual mod itself. There is no mention of Dragonborn in it that I remember. The circumstances of how the mod begins and what happens to the player simply would not make sense if they were Dragonborn.
Spoilers for the start of AHO
At a certain level an Orc approaches you and knocks you out. You awaken captured, hands bound being sold at slave auction. The Dragonborn would simply shout their way out.
@@enragedbard i don't think so but i wanted somebody to tell me before installing them :)
Chantrelle and The Island are so beautiful and super unique. But the lack of narrative, espcially in Chantrelle made it difficult for me .
Same here. I just wandered around for hours. Then I was like, 'well, I'm done I guess.'
Beyond Skyrim: Valenwood is being worked on and there is a pre-release planned. I believe it is different from the Valenwood mod shown here.
Yep they're different. I'm very excited about BS V prerelease. There isn't a lot of footage out there for BSV proper progress
grey cowl of nocturnal is technically a new land mod and has even lots of other mods that overhaul it even further
and is generally one of the most unique land mods given its a desert
Huh. Could've sworn I had that on the list. I've definitely played it. Well, it'll be a while until part 3. 😄
Soul Cairn Expanded just got a new update. No quests, but lots of exploring for end game.
I will check that out! Thanks!
As a big LOTR fan, I have a thing for The Shire. It's not the best by any mean, but adds a good quest in the Tolkien universe. Building my own Hobbit's Home was great
It's on my list to do ... someday. There're just so many!!!
@@enragedbard i think you'll enjoy your time in the shire! it's fully voiced, big land, player home, romance options, some nice LOTR inspired gear... the mod page says it adds around 30h and they're quite right!
@jregju I've got this big ongoing story on my channel, but I have a mechanism for non-lore-friendly mods. The Thalmor messed with time and dimensional magic during The Second Great War and it caused a lot of non canon monsters to come from other universes. And Solaire. 😄
TLDR I can hop over to Middle Earth at some point 😁
Do all these mods work together? Particularly bruma and the mods that add land spaces outside of Skyrim
Yep. Also, not mentioned in this video, but Rigmor of Cyrodiil and BS Bruma seem like they would conflict, but they're different worldspaces.
Runes Rune Haven Darkpoint project is bigger that most of these reviewed. Almost all textures, meshes, and hundreds of npc/followers.
Yeah it's so big I'm waiting until my new PC comes in to play it. (I'm talking about the filesize, it's like 100 gb)
I'd personally add Northpoint and Darkend in as both solid B tiers. Both of them are well crafted worlds, with no real quests but a lot of dungeons and visual story telling. In all honesty both and Northpoint and Darkend are just open air dungeons but I still loved them. Also the cool thing about skygerfall is that the mod author was so faithful to the original dungeons, that the original guides for that game still largely work in the dungeons.
Yeah I did enjoy Skygerfall. Darkend and Northpoint are on my list!
Damn, rating Skyrim mods of the same category should be a thing.
There are just so many New Lands and so many mods in general
I don't understand Summerset Isle's placement. I mean I understand if it's placed biasedly, but objectively its a solid mod with amazing worldspace and decent characters. I would put it somewhere between A and B considering all the bugs/crashes/unbalanced enemies.
Great characters? Nobody wants me to do anything after a couple of quests. And Chanterelle made up for its lack of quests by tons of cool things to find. Dude's got a terrible attitude about criticism, didn't ESMify the mod with several hundred thousand references. He even made demands of Zeroperiod, who took his video series down. Sure, the worldspace is fine. But I don't want to go back there.
@@enragedbard yeah the author seems very unstable tbh, imagine being able to have beef with someone nice as George.
That being said, I played Summerset isle recently, he made an ESM file (although idk what it does). Characters are just ok but the building is rly amazing and theres some quest here and there. I also love the fact it includes follower in new land mod.
@@enragedbard I feel like ur talkin about a different version of Summerset Isle
@rashta5817 I tried it when it first came out. It just dissuaded me from coming back later.
As far as ESM, you have room for about 1.2 million temp references, which can be added by mods or stuff that happens in your savegame. ESMs don't contribute to this limit. If you hit the limit your savegame just breaks. Huge new lands and quest mods contribute greatly to this number if not ESMified, basically giving you a much lower ceiling for how long your savegame lasts.
had a game ending bug on Beyond reach.....
Play Shumer. :) Cool vid, tho. XD
I have such a huge backlog! I'm getting there!
Did you try Abya? Abya have 2 years and only two reviews. I hope you can play it. Abya have players good comments.
Its on my list. Will get to it
I rewatch this a LOT to find new lands mods, great video!
Appreciate it! I blasted through all the New Lands I've done in 2 videos. Just gotta get time to play a marathon of Skyrim soon!
My feelings about the Chanterelle are bitter-sweet. I love and hate this mod at the same time 🙂
Why's that?
@@enragedbardWell, the terrain is interesting but after some time it gets tedious to simply explore. A few years back I was playing without a fast travel and on pretty high difficulty (for my skills then) and all I remember is that I didn't explore the whole land but instead I happily returned to Skyrim :)
U should try "carved brink"
It's on the list!
um the chanterelle link takes me to the nyhus nexus page
Fixed
www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32603
you should try akavir
Curse of Akavir Phoe? It's on the list. It does suck having a day job.
Are these for the ps4
I have no idea. I know BS Bruma is for console (Xbox atleast)
(now this is just my opinion) i just think summerset isles could have been better its not the worst so i think c tier is the right spot
Your player characters portions are.....off
Well, they ARE hungry.
