In a morbid way, the Zsaz holding Young hostage moment is one of my favs and most distinct for me, because it really was one of the more real life and really serious situations I’ve seen Batman in. A very well voiced acted segment too with how terrified Young sounded.
Thank you! I’m so glad this content resonates with you-there’s nothing better than diving into all the little details of a favorite franchise. Plenty more to come!
24:15 There's something about the skeletons that makes me wonder if it's an intentional detail. In Arkham Knight thugs will talk about how Batman hits harder when he's on fear gas because he can't focus on holding back, and skeletons only need a single "knockdown" hit to take out.
There were only 5 tidbits mentioned here I didn't know myself, surprising that even after all these years you can still learn more things when you think you know it all. The attention to detail in the Arkham Games is incredible, you did a good job representing them!
5:47 It may be obvious, but keep watching for a few seconds, and an inmate will appear on the screen ripping the camera out. A nice touch that prevents this scene from just being a loop of guys running.
3:29, what I love is that Joker says "What's up, doc?" At first it appears he's just making a joke, but it's actually subtle foreshadowing to Dr. Young's role in this game.
One thing I've always liked about the Scarecrow sections is the expert use of Dutch tilts, A filmmaking method used to portray a feeing of unease or just to make it feel... Off. I can't recall the origin tho.
Absolutely! The Dutch tilts in the Scarecrow sections add such a subtle but powerful feeling of unease. It’s such a smart filmmaking technique that really enhances the atmosphere. Love that you noticed that!
@@onigames7309 Never seen it, So I can't say. But an example I can think of right now is In MI-1 (1996) During the scene where Kittridge Confronts Hunt about the moles. If you haven't seen It, then I apologize.
I did a replay of the trilogy a few months ago and it was insane how well Asylum holds up for a 15 year old game , and the first in the Series. Great video 💯
Wanna have some brain break? Sonic and Knuckles was as old when Batman: Arkham Asylum came out as AA is now. So was TES: Arena. So was Final Fantasy VI. Not VII, VI. So was _Earthbound_ ffs.
I'm glad someone else agrees that Arkham Asylum Scarecrow is peak and that Arkham Shadow didn't try to retcon him into always acting/sounding like his Arkham Knight version.
I’d rather choose to believe he turned into that due to the events at the asylum. Like what happened with croc + events after while planning his revenge gave him the more serious and shows manship
People praise the thug dialogue in the other games, yet it's awesome that it's been here since the start! Also, I never noticed near the end that Young Bruce has Batman's shadow, it's so cool and feels like imagery that's straight from the comics!! Definitely looking forward to future installments!
Absolutely! The thug dialogue adds so much character, even from the very beginning. And that Batman shadow on young Bruce-such an amazing touch! It really does feel like a page right out of the comics. Thanks for watching, and I can’t wait to share more!
I’ll never forget back in 2010, when my mom took me to GameStop, and I didn’t know what to play, so when she asked the guy behind the counter what to get, he recommended to me elder scrolls oblivion, and Batman Arkham Asylum for the Xbox 360, which was one of the only consoles I had at the time, next to the ps2, anyway- I was familiar with Batman more, I loved Batman Begins and Batman Beyond, so I played Batman first, the rest is history.
Finding a new Arkham/ Batman channel is super exciting. Especially because these game were also my full introduction to Batman. I knew him before but this is what got me fully into it. Also with the live feed at 5:47 if you watch long enough one of the inmates will break the camera, turning off the feed.
14:54 so funny story. I never seen Scarecrow before this game. I guess I missed all his episodes in syndication on tv when watching TAS. So this whole segment really scared me and threw me for a loop because I never knew Batman had “don’t believe your eyes” type of villain and I thought they actually had guts to kill Gordon in this game and then morgue scene happened.
Something that always stood out to me is the hush riddle. Hush had a character bio in Arkham asylum. But Batman’s first time meeting hush in universe is in Arkham city. Which makes me think the character bios in asylum were retconned. Kind of like the penguin poster you can find in game having a comic accurate monocle vs the bottom of a bottle he has over his eye he has in the rest of the games. I love this kind of content in-depth analysis of the Arkham games. I’m subscribing
Thank you! The Hush riddle and character bio in Asylum always stood out to me too-it’s such an interesting detail considering City is their 'first' meeting in-universe. And that change with Penguin's monocle is another fascinating example of how the lore evolved across the games. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the in-depth analysis-welcome aboard, and thanks for subscribing!

The thing about Titan that's weird is that it's advertised in Arkham. In the hallways when Sharp is talking, he'll introduce Dr. Young and she talk about the "Titan process" her research has led to. So Titan had to have originally started as something Young was working on before Joker. Her bio says that she was hired to head of Arkham R&D and Sharp was always adamant about curing Joker. The most likely scenario is that Young was hired for some early work on Titan as a concept. She got some funding from Sharp who was getting money from Ra's and thought it would help him win the race for mayor. What's not really clear is what it was originally supposed to be as far as a treatment goes. No one would advertise the work they do for a lunatic wanting an army roid rage monsters to attack the city if there was never any other use for Titan.
Found this right on time for my millionth Arkham asylum campaign. I always loved how this game almost seemed like a playable episode of the animated series with a bit darker tone.
Perfect timing for your millionth playthrough! 😄 I completely agree-Arkham Asylum really does feel like a darker, more immersive episode of the animated series. It’s such a masterpiece!

Fun fact, when you're telling us about the clocktower, it's not Batman we see, but Robin for a flash second. It happens a few times within the Scarecrow scenes. There's a loooot of hidden references here. For example: The chamber that's filled with gas, will have this ticker that asks for Dr. Clooney. A reference to George Clooney. Also Cilliam Murphy is mentioned as a Doctor in this game. As a coworker I believe to The Scarecrow. A nod because he was The Scarecrow in the Nolan movies. And another one that was the Voice Actor in one of the Batman animated series. I believe it was the New Batman Adventures. (Essentially the original TAS but with a bigger cast). And the Batmobile that gets tossed in the river is actually shown as a blueprint in the Batcave of Arkham Origins. Really liked this. And looking forward to Part 2! I found this channel and you were at 29 subs earlier, now 58. Glad to see you're hitting the algorithm. I've played through these games dozens of times and almost never see anything new, even in the videos that claim to have new hidden stuff. Also love the channel logo lol

This was quite enjoyable to watch Cant wait for part 2. An interesting detail that's worth mentioning, when taking joker through the hallways to his cell you can notice some guards having tags that say trainee on them and will usually stay behind the trained guards
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it! And great observation-that’s an awesome detail with the 'trainee' tags! Love how the game adds layers of realism even in small ways. Part 2 is coming soon!
very clever analysis, i've played this game 3 or 4 times and some of those details I have missed in all of my plays and just realizing them now with the video, great job detective!
Thank you, detective! 🕵️♂️ I’m so glad I could bring some new details to light-there’s always more to uncover in these games. Glad you enjoyed the video!
There are a few major (but very subjective) things I don’t like about the Arkham games. But in spite of those things, I love them. Because so much love and creativity was put into them. These games are impressively DENSE with content, there are so many little clever tricks and illusions in every aspect of this franchise, that really pushed the limits of the engine and hardware. I really appreciate how they never tried to reinvent the wheel. They just made the same game, three (or four) times, but with whatever they couldn’t fit in a previous entry. Batman Arkham 5 isn’t the game we deserve. It’s the game we need!
I am a fan of this series ever since playing Arkham City all those years ago. On the week leading up to halloween, I bought myself a collection containing the 3 main titles, developed by Rocksteady, mainly for nostalgic reasons and to finish what I started back on my days as an Xbox gamer. As I near the 100% mark on Arkham Knight, I find your channel, overanalyzing the first game with an eye for detail. The details worthy of a devoted fan of Batman to know, found in your capable hands. I will be watching your channel with great interest, Detective. Even after the blunder of the squad, the bat-signal still shines in this fandom. Enjoy your stay at Arkham Asylum...

Something interesting with Arkham City i noticed the other day: when you emter the Solomon Wayne Courthouse to save Catwoman you can notice that the left half of the courthouse is clean and orderly, and the right side is burnt and damaged, just like Two-Face
Can’t wait for part 2! I have damn near grown up with this series. Asylum came out when I was 7, and I have played almost every game, I might even end up getting shadows, still learn so much

Hope to see more.

@@ArkhamAnalysis I think it's fair that if you work on the videos as hard as you do, you should be mentioned alongside Paladin, right? I've played all the games many, MANY times, gotten every achievement there is and installed mods to access otherwise blocked areas, but I STILL find new stuff in videos like yours and paladin's. atp I know Gotham's streets better than the city I grew up in XD
Completely agree! The environment in Asylum is just unmatched-every detail adds so much atmosphere and depth. It really feels alive, and discovering all those references and Easter eggs makes it unforgettable. Thanks for sharing!
I'm glad to hear someone share my opinion on the riddler, he also became my favorite villain because of these games. The way they implemented him really made this the true version of Edward in my opinion
Thank you! I completely agree-the way these games handle Riddler is just brilliant. They really brought out his complexity and made him such a standout character. It’s awesome to connect with someone who feels the same way!
@ArkhamAnalysis I know right, he is such a great character and it seems so many other people find him annoying and because of that they fail to see how he truly conflicts with batman, as well as what they have in common.(And I just want to say that I really love these analysis videos, it came up at a time where I'm at a low point and looking forward to these videos brings me joy so thank you)

Overanalyzing? Maybe, but also perfectly analyzing! Great video, glad Im still able to learn something new over a decade later
Something that I think you missed: If you take too long to save Dr. Young, Joker strikes up a conversation over the monitors/loudspeakers and convinces Zsasz to kill her anyway.
One of the reasons I love the Batman Arkham games are the small little details that can play a huge part of the game later on. Amazing video btw! 😁👍
I found this channel and you were at 29 subs earlier, now 58. Glad to see you're hitting the algorithm. I've played through these games dozens of times and almost never see anything new, even in the videos that claim to have new hidden stuff. Also love the channel logo lol
Thank you! It’s awesome to see the channel growing, and I'm glad you’re enjoying the content! I know what you mean-there's so much to discover in these games even after countless playthroughs. And I’m glad you like the logo!
So good that you point out things even i missed, well done.
Thank you! I’m so glad I could bring some new details to light. There’s so much to unpack in these games-it’s always fun to explore together!
As a fellow Arkham-obsessed geek, finding this in my recommended was a nice refresher. Great video! 💪
Thank you, fellow Arkham geek! 💪 I’m so glad this popped up for you-there’s nothing like diving back into these amazing games. More videos are on the way!
Wow never knew I missed so many little interactions. These are my favorite games of all time and I still don’t know everything 15 years later. You’ve earned this sub can’t wait for more episodes!
Asylum came out when I was 7, and I have played almost every game, I might even end up getting shadows, still learn so much
Oh damn... You're UA-cam channel just got here. Nice, I'm gonna subscribe so I can say I was A1 since day 1 when you eventually hit a million.
Thank you! Love the A1 since day 1 energy! 😄 Your support means so much-let’s see where this journey takes us!
As someone who just beat Asylum again, getting this recommended to me is fantastic, subbed
Prometheus makes a cameo as an Easter egg riddle on a wanted poster when you revisit the place where Harley Quinn puts joker gas in the room 🗿🗿🗣️🗣️
You've pointed out things I've seen no other analysis cover! Actually learned things from this video
Thank you! I’m so glad I could bring some new details to light-there’s so much to uncover in these games. Can’t wait to share even more in the next videos!
Still one of the greatest superhero games of all time!
Looking forward to seeing what this channel has to offer!
Speaking if the arkham asylum notification sound, that is my notification sound, and I can't wait to hear it when part 2 comes out
Dang I was ready for the next video. I can’t wait to see more soon!
Thank you! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the content-more videos are on the way, so stay tuned!
Always nice to see new Arkham content.

Looking forward to it, Double A
Amazing video. Keep it up. I can't wait for part 2
Thank you so much! Part 2 is coming soon-I can’t wait for you to see it!
Well, this is definitely a series worth overanalyzing. I've seen a lot of hidden details and easter egg videos for the series over the years, but you still got some new ones I haven't seen before (some of the shadow details, but especially the extra conversations at the beginning). Hope to see more.
Thank you so much! The Arkham series is definitely worth overanalyzing-there’s just so much packed into every corner. I’m glad I could bring some new details your way, and guess what? Part 2 is up now-hope you enjoy it!
I've seen pretty much all the arkham lore content there is and I still found some new information in this video. the level of detail in all arkham games is beyond fascinating, and I'm glad people like you and gotham paladin are finding these things. gained an instant sub, hope your channel grows more, it's absolutely deserved
Thank you so much! The level of detail in the Arkham games truly is incredible, and it’s amazing to share that passion with others who love it just as much. I’m honored to be mentioned alongside Gotham Paladin, and I really appreciate the sub. Can’t wait to keep bringing more content your way!
9:45 "You're Heisenberg."
"You're Goddamn right."
New Arkham UA-camr huh? Looks like im subbing
Arkham Analysis im looking forward to seeing your channel grow❤

Love that energy! 🦇💛 Obsessively dissecting the Arkham games is exactly what this channel is all about-welcome aboard!
First video. First banger. The start of something great
Thank you! That means so much-this is just the beginning, and I’m excited to keep building from here!
Great video, looking forward to seeing more!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it-more is definitely on the way!
I think Asylum is the best environment ever made, even better than rapture. Every corner having a reference or easter egg is exceptional.
Completely agree! The environment in Asylum is just unmatched-every detail adds so much atmosphere and depth. It really feels alive, and discovering all those references and Easter eggs makes it unforgettable. Thanks for sharing!
This is honestly amazing
this is awesome I need more of thisssssss
Thank you!! 😆 More is definitely on the way-can't wait to share it with you!
@ArkhamAnalysis I know right, he is such a great character and it seems so many other people find him annoying and because of that they fail to see how he truly conflicts with batman, as well as what they have in common.(And I just want to say that I really love these analysis videos, it came up at a time where I'm at a low point and looking forward to these videos brings me joy so thank you)
Loved this, really looking forward to more!
Thank you so much! I’m thrilled you enjoyed it-Part 2 is up now, so I hope you enjoy that too!
Fun fact, you can actually have the cutscene with Batman gliding to the entrance of the Batcave replay if you go back to Dead Man's Point even after completing the game!
Cool idea for a series
Thank you! I’m excited to keep it going-more episodes are on the way!
Hell yeah, can't wait for part 2
Part 2 is coming soon-can't wait for you to see it!
This was great! There were a lot of details I never knew about even after several playthroughs of this game. Can't wait for more videos! Keep up the good work!
Thank you! I’m so glad I could bring some new details to light-it’s amazing how much these games have to uncover. More videos are definitely on the way!
This video is so good. A really great analysis of this game; you really did it justice. Hope to see more from you on this channel.👍
Thank you so much! I’m thrilled you enjoyed the analysis-it means a lot to hear I did the game justice. More videos are definitely on the way!
I’m always thinking about Arkham and I love the format, showing all the details and lore
After doing the main games maybe you could do SSKTJL since the hate has dialed down!
Great work!
Thank you! So glad you’re enjoying the deep dive into all the details and lore. Covering Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League could be a lot of fun after the main games-I’ll definitely keep it in mind!
Hope you have success on UA-cam
Been thinking of starting my own batman/Arkham channel
Like you've I've been a fan of the dark night since the first animated series and grew up on the Arkham games. Played them all and bought a meta quest just for shadows.
I support and sub to any channel dedicated to Arkham batman and wish them the best. Especially when they put in great work like yourself. Best of luck on your journey
You can always tell a game is good when the devs put detail into parts nobody will notice
I love the Arkham games! I love the little details in these games. ♥️ great video!
Thank you! I’m right there with you-the little details make the Arkham games so special! Glad you enjoyed the video; more deep dives are coming your way!
@@ArkhamAnalysis ♥️ definitely a subscribe!! Long live The Bat! 🦇
