Love that Dig, I built an SCX24 Deadbolt with Front and rear steer, Front Diff O.D., and more. i have had so much fun driving it, I am going to build a Capra with the same setup so I can experience the same crawling at 1/10 scale, with Dig.
Excellent video Brett and Jun. Used Vanquish wheels on my Capra; but, good to know that the stock plastic wheels accept those weights. Very kewl on Axial's part.
I'm amazed at how well the crawl, and climb. Those Hyrax tires must work pretty good and have great grip. I like the dig function, I have seen it listed for crawlers but have never seen it in action. It looks like it works really well.
That's some beautiful scenery and some fine crawling/trailing from the two experts (Over 9 minutes) but that's enough seriousness! 💩ra! I wanted to see Brett and his little brother Capra get some trigger/wheel time but the rap was pretty OK as a substitute. 😎🤣👍👍
Cool vid!!! I really like the Capra. I go back and forth between the Capra and sport. My daughter gets to pick if she keeps her grades up and build it.
those Hyrax Predators are a really awesome tire, the only tire i've run on my Axe that I have to be careful not to get into a bind and break something, they grab hard in crevices and can bind themselves into a wedge, but crawl up rocks like a Gecko.
Trying to decide on a Capra kit or the Redcat Gen8 Axe! I’m leaning toward the RTR ease of the Axe. Mostly for trails, not rock garden stuff. But damn, the caged look is so cool!
Thanks :) bronze SSD Assassin wheels, and some super secret foam inserts... www.amainhobbies.com/ssd-rc-assassin-1.9-beadlock-crawler-wheels-bronze-2-ssd00180/p872572
Great climber... but how does this the Capra perform as a rock racer? I don’t have access to any proper climbing sites, but lots of access to rough, and relatively, flat terrain. Great video
The build was great (even with the errors in the manual), and installing the electronics was a slight PitA...but, where I'm REALLY having a (seriously-bad) problem is trying to figure out how to set up the DIG on my Futaba 7PX. Being new to crawlers (the Capra is my first), I haven't the slightest clue about DIG settings for the transmitter. Having manually "played around" with the DIG shifting arm, I can tell that a 3-position DIG should be easily accomplished (even though Axial is marketing it as a 2-position)...but, if I can't even figure out how to get the DIG operational, it doesn't matter. Can anyone help?
You need to set the DIG channel in the transmitter to a switch, or a three position switch if you're going for the 3 position. Then I think you want the second position in the dig to be your servo center position. Use trims to set. Then for the 1st and 3rd dig positioning, use the end point adjustments. It's really important to set the endpoints correctly or the DIG servo may become damaged. Hope that helps Robb. -Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies As it turned out, my settings were correct...the problem is the servo. A replacement is already on its way to me. Figure, it departs Chico, so should be delivered to me tomorrow.
I put an 11T pinion on mine (blue truck), which is the smallest I could make fit. It started making a little more noise, but the mesh on the teeth is solid. Nothing is gonna break ;)
Wow, could have been on the moon. Nice camera work. Yes saving for a capra, cool and very capable truck. Thanks for sharing
Great overview! Spoke to you on the phone you helped me with an order. Your a standup dude👍
I've got one on my work bench right now for a winter build that I purchased from you guys. :)
Very well done video again Brett. Table bongos, excellent. Rap... well, I liked the table bongos.

Ha. Glad you enjoyed that.

Got you another 👍 from Grumpy's other channel.

That's great Juan. Can't get that R/C until you get those good grades! I hope you two have fun whichever path you take.

i love watching these capras go. i need to take a road trip because theres nothing like this in indiana and my capra needs a real chalange
Great video Brett, I start building mine this weekend
Looks like a lower gear setup may be in order. Really nice truck, no doubt!
Im running an 11T pinion (blue truck)
I am a huge fan of the channel

such a great build...good job showing them off

The Axe will cost you a lot less initially too so you'll have more left over for better tires and other accessories.

AMain Hobbies Yeah! I like the way you think.
Good size! Not bad! 🇦🇺🍻🤙
Great piece and video!
I would add the wheel weights AND some 4 wheel steering !!!!!!! :) C-Ya.......

10 point penalty on Matt’s - no interior 😃
The RCNetwork interior is on the way 🤙🏼
Matt Hauck your Capra looks great! Just messing with you 😃👍
The RCNetwork I know 😉 I’m messing with the deadbolt interior. Jay Kendall was the first I’ve seen do it...rig looks better as a single seat car IMO
Looks good!

Great video
That's a good question I don't have an answer for.

Hi. Is there the same electronics in both cars?
No. Matt was using the Castle Mamba Micro X with a Brushed motor and 370TBL servo. Really smooth power setup.

AMain Hobbies thx for info. Greetings from austria, europe...
everything's cool except for the headlights
Unimogs are supposed to have portals

U need to unbox and review the TRX 6 it’s an awesome crawler
It's just a trx4 with another axle
@@urdonercjeremyburris7541 its a badass though
Gear mesh on both trucks dont sound right. I be looking over them before you break something
