    The Manx as you say is almost a cult motorcycle. It is so engraved in the collective imagination that to approach that motorcycle should be very careful. I like the designs of Sacha Lakic, mark trends and I can only admire the level of expertise of Blacktrack Motors to achieve those finishes. I will be watching this video carefully, for many months it really inspires. Gracias

    Thank you for the videos! I never owned or rode a motorcycle before. But I discovered your channel and I fell in love with the aesthetics of the cafe racers, with the pure mechanical beauty. In one week, I watched all the videos posted by you. And... I wanted to be a part of this. I bought my first bike. A 1978 Yamaha XS1100. By the next season, I hope my cafe racer will be ready. Meanwhile a bought an old 1977 scrambler and I ride it through the woods, learning how to ride a bike. Thank you, Victor! For your amazing passion for cafe racers, you transmitted through your videos!

    Yeah, maybe you're right. Triumph is just the symbol of British style and that's exactly the country where cafe racer belongs to. So, I agree with your viewpoint of not introducing too much about Triumph. Besides, you really make a very detail explanation about the idea of these Triumph cafe race projects which use the Norton as their design model. I very appreciate your channel, and it's really a supreme quality and professional channel for cafe racer enthusiasts.

    Once again, you have produced an absolutely brilliant, exclusive video that reveals the capabilities within the design of an off the shelf bike available to the masses. This Triumph is a work of art and stands alone to set a new standard in execution of design and implementation of the art of the Café. I truly admire the examples you produce and the quality of your video presentation. Once again, thank you for Racer TV, the only true motorcycle channel on UA-cam.

    More traditional Triton than Manx Norton IMHO...as a heavily customised Thruxton owner I love this one,everything a proper modern Caff Racer should be including the engine! 10/10 . Spot on, Cheers!👍👍🏁

      I also have a Thruxton (R model in silver with the fairing). It is THE most beautiful motorcycle ever series produced. I adore the look, sound and performance the way Triumph birthed it! That said, Blacktracks totem to individuality is spectacular.

    ...your contemplative reasoning and acute observations conveyed through your skilled craftsmanship of presentation nailed the beauty and summarization of the homage put forward by a Master's skill and vision to those who lead the way. "What would the past look like today?"
    Forward innovation and technology drives the future from the ideas of the past...every motorcycle has a future.
    Congratulations to the builder and to you.

É o RACER TV fazendo a diferença!!!
    Seus vídeos são inspiradores. Obrigado pelo seu tempo, gasto para nós deleitar com obras de arte como essa.

      Entrei em contato com a Blacktrack. Além do interesse no kit de customização da Thruxton para o amigo que mencionei, também estou interessado em um tanque de alumínio. Perguntei a eles onde o tanque foi fabricado, espero não ter sido inconveniente.
      Você acreditaria se eu dissesse que ainda não achei que pudesse fabricar um tanque assim no Brasil? A razão do interesse está no fato de que nosso modesto projeto de customizar uma Honda CB400 prevê um tanque de alumínio - é um sonho meu, inspirado na Triton, que eu consegui passar para meus sócios.
      Abraços!

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  7 років тому +1

      Tente consultar a página da Blacktrack Motors no facebook. Lá Encontrará várias fotos durante o fabrico do tanque.
      Sei que em Inglaterra e na Índia, existem bastantes artesãos que sabem fabricar esse tipo de tanques.
      Mas se eu vivesse aí Brasil, talvez fosse melhor consultar alguém que restaure carros antigos/clássicos, ou então os Irmãos Lourenço, já que provavelmente eles conhecem alguns especialistas em chaparia que poderiam fazer um tanque de combustível desse género. :) Um abraço.

    The Manx has a place in history that it is very unlikely will be replaced. The ultimate cafe racer.
    This is a great effort but it has obviously taken its cues from the Manx and is not in the same league for purity in design and purpose.
    Nortons were a one-off so it is a pity people today cannot use that ethos.
    The exhausts are overdone for me but it is still an impressive bike. Thanks.

      RACER TV Exactly! We might want to keep the seat, but we will change the rear light, the mirrors, the 'direction' lights, if you know what I mean. I just love the original speedometer, so oldschool! The tank might become chrome with black sides, and the exhaust will be 'modified' for a louder sound.
      I will also have photo's of before and after our changes, if you are interested I will put a link of one of your coming video's.

    Ainda mais que os belos designs italianos ( que para carros são imbatíveis ), sou um fã do design inglês de motos: Bonnevilles, Thruxtons, Thunderbirds, a gigante Rocket e até mesmo as Street Triples.. cada uma mais charmosa e atraente que a outra rs.. Mas para mim as Nortons são referência absoluta em design: Penso que se já é difícil customizar uma Thruxton, uma Commando ou uma Dominator então é quase impossível rsrs.. talvez algo no campo das especificações mecânicas ou de caráter subjetivo.
    Vejo por esse vídeo que, mesmo a antiga Manx já apresentava as típicas linhas esportivas e harmonicamente fluidas, e também que boa parte do responsável por elas é o tanque de combustível, uma espécie de "marca registrada" da Norton.. uma pena que a réplica tenha pecado numa das principais características do tanque: A base da parte mais estreita dele ( onde se junta ao banco ) não possui a curva nem o ângulo agudo característico.. mas isso é detalhe, pois de forma alguma ofuscou a beleza e a excepcionalidade deste projeto.
    Entendo que se trata de uma homenagem a uma moto antiga, mas acho a substituição do belo Ohlins da Thruxton original pelo amortecedor deste projeto no mínimo questionável, por outro lado, se como diz o ditado, "Uma imagem vale por mil palavras", é supérfluo comentar sobre o absurdo padrão de acabamento e bom gosto geral de todo o projeto, mas gostaria de chamar a atenção para um detalhe: Lakic realmente foi muito feliz na concepção do escape.. simplesmente perfeito.
    Fiquei apenas com uma dúvida: A versão preta não possui radiador? 03:04 rsrs.. Grande abraço.

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  7 років тому +1

      Pois é amigo. Infelizmente as Norton da actualidade ainda não chegaram ao nivel de perfeição técnica da Truxton, para além das Norton ser uma marca cara. talvez por isso a Truxton tenha sido escolhida para este projecto. Eu também reparei na inexistência da curvatura do fundo do tanque . Mas penso que isso se deve ao facto de todas as peças terem que ser encaixadas no quadro original sem quaisquer alterações no mesmo. Por acaso, os amortecedores traseiros ainda são da Ohlins, embora num modelo diferente para rebaixar um pouco a traseira.
      A questão do radiador também é bastante interessante. É daqueles detalhes que me arrependo de não ter mencionado no video. Sacha experimentou um radiador feito especialmente para a Truxton, parte do qual foi dobrado para baixo do motor e fechado dentro de uma caixa, existindo uma pequena ventoinha na frente que faz o ar percorrer toda a superfície do radiador. E como já habitual, obrigado amigo Robinson por partilhar a sua opinião. :) Um abraço.

      Ah sim, já suspeitava que as Nortons fossem caras mesmo pois elas são bem "grife", mas desconhecia essa deficiência técnica delas. Curioso essa opção do radiador por parte do construtor.. penso que seja por uma questão estética, não?
      De qualquer forma obrigado pela boa explicação, agora entendi a questão do amortecedor, a escolha pela Triumph: achava inusitado o fato de se customizar uma Triumph para vesti-la de Norton rs.. e também do tanque. Valeu amigo e até a próxima semana.. abraço.

    That is special, the pre heated oil case exhaust layout would look good but siamese pipes would be more suiting. Sorta looks like a Paul Smart and Ducati took a lot from the manx tank in jelly mold days.

    Nice, the Manx inspired replica. Definitely love the pipes :) When will you make a video about the iconic Featherbed frame and all the bikes using them (Manx, Atlas, Dominators) as well as the countless "Bitzas" - besides the "common" Triton's there were Norleys (or Hartons for the same matter using the 1200 HD) or even Norvins with Vincent engines. Greetings from Porto, see ya at DGR

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  7 років тому

      I'm glad you liked my friend. Like i said in this video, the choice process of a project for one of my videos is extremely complex, and depends of almost 10 different factors. The bikes you mentioned are some of the most iconic of the 50's and 60's, which means they are very rare today. But this also means that this is the kind of motorcycles that no one search on youtube. Last year, I made a video about the "Norton Dominator by Elemental Rides", and the result of that video, only 34000 views until today. It simply does not worth my effort. But thank you for your sugestions. Em Setembro lá estarei no DGR. :) Um abraço.
