I love how you gave us a real life example of a person walking through an anxiety producing situation in community and experiencing a wonderful outcome as he recognized his fear and shame and received help to believe the truth of his true identity. Thank you! I’m sharing this!!!
I really like this. I feel grateful for hearing Jamie deconstruct the lies in that example and the clear headed discipline that we can use for ourselves! I think the Holy Spirit has prompted me through this before and in the times I was lucky enough to listen I've managed to do it for myself sporadically but hearing it articulated so clearly and in a very disciplined way almost gives you a tool that's very freeing and comforting. Thank you!
I think it’s great when people have community to help them with this, I did not, but God helped me learn this process when I was isolated and alone with him. So I’m curious about having a conversation about how people do this in isolation, because it is possible. And not everyone has safe friends to call. Anyway, curious about talking about that with you guys.
Was anybody else struck by his question "Who told you....?" at around the 40 minute mark in relation to where did you assume the identity of shame? That is the same question that God asked of Adam in The Garden of Eden. See Genesis 3:11
Wow, my insides feel blown away by the clear way Jamie renamed anxiety! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Jamie

Thank you so much Janet!!
I’ve never dealt with anxiety until recently. Jamie’s definition is so helpful. I’m going to be seeking this in community.

A great to see God in your Life
Eager is the anticipation of Joy. using the work Anxious instead of Eager is a mis-speak.
