Best footage I've seen of Kinetic, with the whole walk through the passage way to the chillout room. I'm sure I was there that night and think I still have the flyer lol I'm glad at least some videos like this were taken, it was a great experience being around then.
Amazing days, think about massive groups of us all congregating n meeting to rave together and have the best night until the next week, I for one loved it and I bloody miss those days and nights, good old 90s, best times can never be repeated, shame isn't it, peace out folks...👍✌️
Excellent vid.Had loads of my brothers tapes and imagined what it was like.Took a while for everyone to get dancing. By the time slipmatts on its buzziiiing haha. :-) :-)
Kinetic was a great night, but when Vibealite started at venue 44 in September 93 there was no comparison. If you'd been to vibealite you knew that " you never missed a vibealite" ....
Remember Carl Cox playing back then! I saw him carrying in his vinyl in cardboard box, up the stairs. I thought he was a door man! Not the D.J !. Just a normal day
the tune is 'Infection by Fourth Dimension (Dave Charlesworth), and I think because Brisk plays so uptempo combined with the ruff nature of the tune the person with the camera reacts with that sense of 'delight' ;) www.discogs.com/Fourth-Dimension-Wonderland-Infection/master/64080
If this is supposed to be Club Kinetic then why is almost everybody sat down? Now I'm not sure if Club Kinetic was like a brand name like Arc that use to be manly in Leeds Polytechnic university and used to goto other venues but the Club Kinetic I saw on the hit man & her early 90"s that had Carl Cox was quite a big venue.
Sat down? The only part of the whole video where anyone is sat down is when the cameraman passes through the corridor between the main room and back room. The corridor doubled as a chill out room and was an amazing place to chat shit with total strangers! The back room (Ripe Room) was more house and was quieter on this night as most came for the DJ's on in the main room. Kinetic had it’s own venue at The Leisurebowl in Longton and for all of its life was based there and there alone. On any normal night there was the main room, Ripe (back) Room (although it had many names over the years), the corridor which doubled as a chill out, the top bar/chill out, reception area and even a snooker hall (that could be a funny experience)! On big nights with an expected larger than normal capacity, like with Carl Cox and the Hit Man & Her, they opened up the whole first floor of the building which added something like an extra two rooms. Yes, the place was huge when all rooms were open, but still huge when not!
Hey Audra, one or two were, later on in Kinetics life, but there was also some of the best bouncers I have ever come across in a club, Eddie and Danny were two of the best. They knew all the regulars and took care of them like family!
I think that depends on how you look at it. The music went shit after mid/late 92, happy hardcore just ruined everything and yeah, the main room at Kinetic was eventually all about happy hardcore. But Kinetic gave us something else, a large sense of family, lots of regulars, every week. It was a great place to get off your tits and feel safe, surrounded by people who will look out for you. DO I miss the music? nah, but I do miss the people!
@@scoochysteve yeh i know what your saying mate, after doing shelleys in 90-91 then doing the first room at entropy and then into the big room,by the time Kinetic took over after about 12 months the vibe had changed for me,but respect to all the oldskool ravers they were the best times of our lives!!
@@mbull7458 Fair point, but by 93 you were better off heading further up north, Leeds, Sheffield. Back to Basics, Up yer Ronson, Soak, Rise, Love 2b, Gatecrasher (Arches) etc. Kinetic and Edge were just getting faster and darker by the week and ended up as Jungle.

are they still playing American football, I remember Danny did.

No it wasn’t - just dodgy doormen that nicked your gear then sold it back to one if your mates!

I don't think it was 'full of police' at all
