Not having played this game I'm just gonna guess that Bedman, Chipp, Jack-o, I-no, Zato-1 and Axl are either low tier or simply characters that never appear in these tournaments. Very rarely do you see Potemkin, Faust and to some extent Millia. And I'm basing this off having seen several of these TNS XRD videos. I'm heavily into learning strive and watching videos for that game
@@ShiningSpear It is 100% due to execution barrier. The same reasoning and problem for Baiken and Johnny. Answer just suffers from cool moves but questionable frame data.
Jack-o isn't really popular in terms of gameplay by players (Your just playing Bloons Tower defense with your opponent). Zato requires an abnormal combat style so very few are willing to sacrifice universal mechanics and skill for a character specialization. Chipp is also pretty strong but requires good knowledge of conversions from stray hits and how to do proper corner pressure. Axl's a strong zoner, enough said about why he isn't showing up much. Bedman was popular a long time ago but has dropped in popularity due to strive introducing Bedman there as well but giving him a more homogenous playstyle with the rest of the roster in comparison to Xrd where you have to manage your replay mechanic (+ learning what moves are plus and minus based on distance for each character since some characters can easily punish you from certain distances). The TNS series for Xrd is ok but isn't the best indicator for how good a character is but rather how quick it is to master a character's gimmicks and then how popular the character is.
Almost every time I watch this level of play I want learn the game I mashed through back in 2016 smh. Thanks for posting.

I-no is really strong in Xrd. Not a super common character in spite of that, and I have to assume it's at least partially due to execution barrier.
