    Keep promoting great quality made products. I’m American. I don’t care what country a product comes from. I want quality and durability. The cheap products are great to test. Cheap products should be used in a pinch or to see if you want to invest into a higher quality product. There are so many knock offs. They may come close. I’d rather support the best product and let the inferior product maker focus on making one product good. We need to bring back shoe repairs, custom design clothing and agriculture that does not depend on resources that do not exist on the property.

    Great job! One of the amazing things I love about our “hobby” is the creativity of so many very cool people. Thank you for showcasing these products. As someone who creates bushcraft and survival kits and products, I know how important it is for you to have done this video!! These small businesses work so very hard to make things that not only do they use but believe in their products and want to share with others( trust me, nobody is getting rich, and it is awesome that you did this!

    USA manufacture is all well & good IF you can afford it, for the most I can't
    I did splurge for Christmas and got the Tuff Possum Shackleton bag
    but that's probably it for the year...

    Thanks to you I just learned about Father Nomad. the price for the adapter is way too expensive tho. And I like your tone and how you presented the gear very simply and with lots of good info. Well done.

    Those water bottle pockets really stand out on that pack. I’ve got some smaller packs that I don’t use because the water bottle pockets are too small. You can really see the quality in the video. Some pretty cool gear - I want to get my hands on that Sawyer adapter.

    Atwood Dyna-X,Kevlar and all the crazy ropes they make, are second to none! I also use real Mil-Spec Paracord which I also love, but who can say no, to Dyneema and Kevlar?! I love that they have different properties and both are ideal for different situations and enviroments!!!

    I'm getting 2 of the paracord spools for sure. 1 for camping , 1 for my EDC/Bushcraft bag. I like the adapter. That bag that came with the Sawyer is not very good at collecting water. Thanks for sharing these products made in USA and especially from the lesser known guys.

    Watch out for that 3d printed stuff. If it's PLA or PLA+, it is biodegradable and hydrophilic. It will break down much faster than standard PVC or other common plastics.

    That canteen adapter seems like it would just be airlocked and not allow the filter to work very well from the back pressure. Does it vent air somewhere to prevent that?

    Asking a stupid question? Would it better to use carabiners and GOOD KNOTS if You are trying to build a shelter with the PARACORD and some kind of poncho / tarp? ONCE You cut a cord then YOU CAN'T put it back!!!

    • @jtc1947
      @jtc1947 3 місяці тому

      @@ThePreparedWandererThat is a good idea but I was WONDERING about a situation where a person MIGHT have to put up a shelter In a matter of minutes because of a sudden torrential rain. AND the trees for the ridge line are an unexpected distance apart? I am a real newbie on the prepper stuff so I ax stupid questions! BE WELL & BLESSED BE!

    • @Halligan515
      @Halligan515 3 місяці тому +1

      Keep studying shelter builds. You don't have to a ridgeline say, for a plow point. Also, carry multiple hanks of precut lengths, around 10' each.
