Well, they advertise the game, but no trailer shows the game honestly. What is appealing is changing with every person. I found this game really fun, but only when I look at the game through gameplay and not comparing it to the trailers.

I still go and frequently re-watch them. Pretty impressive that game is still one of the most popular games out there, going on 10 years old. oh, and ToaLegend Studios, the game was good. very good. good enough to be in the top 5 most downloaded games on Steam for more than 5 years. I find the game very fun, and ever-changing, which i think is cool. You never really get the same gaming experience every time.

i really hated the Spongebob Movie: Sponge out of Water trailer because it looked like the whole movie would be live action. I'm not saying I would've preferred the movie to be all live action, I just would've been happier if they actually showed the whole trailer being animated. They don't even say what happens in the movie. In the trailer, it sounds like the plot is "The secret formula is mysteriously stolen and taken to the surface where they have to fight a pirate in superhero form". But the truth is, the plot is more like "SpongeBob and Plankton team up for some reason and spend half of the movie running away from Bikini Bottom. After that they go to the surface for 15 minutes."

the worst trailer I've seen recently is for the new spongebob movie. the whole trailer showed nothing but the live action scenes. in the actual movie, 5/6 were 2d animation like the cartoon, and the rest of it (the final scenes of the movie) were CGI. The trailer pretty much showed the entire final scene

I feel the same way! In fact, Godzilla 2014 trailers lied to us thinking Godzilla will be the one who causes a whole bunch of chaos. But in reality, Godzilla didn't really appear often(despite his name being in the title.) and doesn't cause too much destruction. (All he really did was destroy part of the Golden Gate Bridge out of anger.)

To me, the best trailers are the ones usually for Hitchcock films, specifically Rear Window and Psycho. They certainly stand out from traditional movie trailers, even for back then, but they do well in introducing the characters and setting, while at the same time, implying something strange and unusual that happens in the respective film(s) without spoiling it. I really like 'em cause they interact with the viewer and are clear cut in showing what kind of ride you're in for if you see it instead of just filling your mind with eye candy, dramatic music and generic scenes. Then again, not all trailers can be like that, just like how not every movie can be The Godfather, but there's really needs to be more effort put in.

Sponge Out Of Water's trailers were atrocious. The CGI took up about only 1/3 of the movie, and the superheroes were the FREAKING CLIMAX! And, you guessed it, both of those were pretty much the only things they showed in the trailers.

Thank you so much. I do agree. I don't mind the teaser trailers. But I do avoid trailers, as well, for any movie I want to see, because the trailer does spoil it. I didn't watch the trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, but just looking at the poster spoiled it, because the Hulk was a big reveal for that movie.

This is what game trailers aim for:
• (game) They try to make the trailer with tremendously better graphics than the game itself just to get people to buy the game (lie)
• (movie) They include scenes in the trailer that would seem cool to see in the movie, but they aren't in the the movie. (big fat lie)
• (both) They put in good reviews of unpopular review companies, not to mention that they pay those companies to GIVE them good reviews
• (both) They claim their movie/game to be the quote-on-quote "NUMBER 1 MOVIE IN THE WOOOOOORLD" meanwhile the movie ends up sucking ass.
• (both games, and movies) They do anything, no matter how untruthful, just to make the movie/game seem better than it actually is.
Fucking marketing....when I get older and make a video game the trailer is going to be 100% gameplay. Make sure the audience gets to see what the game truly is, and if the trailer can turn out better than the game itself, then make the game better. Liam Neeson fighting a tiger is cool, so put it in the movie 😒

I agree with you on The Force Awakens' teaser trailer. It had me so excited for the film, and I had no idea what to expect going in. A confused-looking Storm Trooper in the desert? What a way to open the trailer - it establishes intrigue right from the off, and it doesn't really give much away from the film because of the way it's made. Then we get a bunch of cool-looking stuff, including the Millennium Falcon. None of it really tells you anything about the plot, and it finishes on Kylo's threatening-looking lightsabre. You can argue about the quality of the film as much as you like, but the trailer nailed it. It gave us everything a Star Wars film needed to include: cool droids, cool ships, cool characters, cool planets, cool everything else, but left us guessing about the plot, and some of the best-looking shots weren't included (e.g. Kylo stopping the laser blast). A less competent trailer would have shown Finn rescuing Poe followed by a whole lot of fighting and Kylo and probably finished with Luke receiving the lightsabre from Rey, leading audiences to think Luke was a big deal in the film.

What I hate most about trailers is when they just tell you the whole movie.
I remember this movie where I think these people had their child killed so the broke into the prison where the guy who killed their child was. They brought him to their house and tortured the fuck out of him until he died, only to find out that he wasn't the guy who did it. *THIS WAS IN THE TRAILER!*
Seriously, the whole fucking plot was in the trailer, the only parts missing were the boring fucking conversations between the torture scenes.

It was actually in some way a small hint, to show you what powers the suits. They only show you like one other time in the game and that's in one fucking camera.
