Instagram was just getting more and more toxic, so it's finally time to cut it off.
It' sad isn't it specially since we put so much effort into it.
Ever since i signed up on Cara it feels like I'm free 😌😌😌 I don't need to worry about followers or likes
I'm glad to hear :)
😂😂😂
I’m on Cara. Seems full of fantasy, manga, robots etc. not too much non commercial art.
hahah nice!!
You just gotta look for it...still a warm place.
Love seeing what alternatives are out there instead of Instagram
I agree
I've been on cara in a few weeks, find artists i followed on instagram but even new artist.
I found cara better but we'll see how it goes. ☺
That is so good to hear. I secured my handle but I haven't been active yet. Instagram has been soul sucking based on the number of reels they require to grow. I'll check it out. In the meantime, here's my profile: cara.app/simonip
I will give it a try. But artists will never be safe from AI.
In general, we will never be safe from plagiarism. It's good to find a space where the founder has aligned values with us at least.
Artist has been dealing with plagiarism even before AI arrived, so for them it's just another Tuesday. Artist is mean to be never stop fighting back and never give up.
I tried cara. I like it, however, its focused way too much on digital art. Just my
opinion as a traditional painter
Fair enough!
I appreciate this, yeah I have enjoyed Cara and I will say they do more than the bigger companies.
So glad to hear that. If you want, find me on Cara and I'll follow back.

Cara is ok tho it needs non artists too not sure how Cara will get them to join
Cara is literally just a ripoff of Art station. Even the UI is identical...
You are right. The pool of people will remain too small. It needs to become more mainstream
I am a student video game designer, and I create concept art, 3D environments, and animations. It's great to hear that Cara is a positive environment for artists, and I really like how it protects artists' works from AI. I'm encouraged to join Cara and share my work on the new platform.
That’s great to hear ❤️ would love to see your work so say hi to me on Cara too
@@simphilip I've followed you on Cara, and I'm slowly uploading more of my work over time. You have some great artwork and animations on your page; excellent job! 👍👏
@@beaconoflight6411 you are so sweet 🥹 thanks for your follow
I only have Instagram now because of the group chats I’m part of, I stopped posting their a long time ago
I get you. 🥰 I post because i want my art to reach more people but I stopped posting from my personal account
they will all come back .. cara is like artits following artits. but artits need a greater audience , the general public.. its why insta is no 1
Actually I agree with you. Cara is only artists and we need a mainstream audience to show our art to.
Honestly if i just knew how to post on that dammned app i would be having the time of my life😫
It's not so intuitive I agree
Can you sell your art on there ? Or is this just for posting ethically ?
I'm not sure about selling art but you can promote your work there. There's also the opportunity to tell if you are a full-time/part-time artist or open for work.
Cara is literally just a ripoff of Art station. Even the UI is identical...
Oh I didn’t know. Need to check
Is this app about art only! What about photography?
Photography is welcome, too. The founder is actually a fashion and beauty photographer! I have both an art account and photography account there.
@@acailawenart Ok! Thanks for the info !
Exactly!
@@KT97379 If you love photography, I recommend the Cara pages of jkhwashere, and mrsjkhwashere.
Thank you and yes on Cara: now too and what a great community!
Absolutely!!
I love the format of the app!!
Yeah 👍🏼 it’s nice
See you there :)
Thanks!!! We are connected on Insta and Cara now
Oh wow I made a similar video before this and had the same first sentence as intro haha love your detailed breakdown of the founders background as well! So far I see no big movement on Cara anymore in terms of engagement and heard some others artists are disappointed!
Oh yeah. I checked your video 😊
me too
I new, AI just old works integrator and it doesn't create. That's a shame.
Oh
I love Insta
Because I have got a message for commission work.
Good on you
Just make sure u r not coming back to Instagram because its much greener here
Did you actually watch the video or just saw the thumbnail? But yes, I think Cara is quite promising
This video sounds exactly like an paid advertisement for Cara. Is it?
I wish but I’m too little to get sponsored by anyone
@@simphilip well I liked your video. I am on Instagram too. I think I just accept the idea that anything online can be stolen and used for anything. I don't like it though.
Cara is funded by donation 😂 with a small team that currently maintain the server with their own money, they dont have the resources to pay content creator to promote them.
It's that good
Join Cara and show your art to lots of other artists who are also trying to promote their stuff.
That’s the problem. Might be too niche for artists
Training on your PUBLIC data.
Yup
Can jewelry designers use Cara?
I’m not sure 🤔
Is their a way to use this for music as well ?
I don’t think so
Lets go cara
Let’s go
Do cara hace scammers?
I think there are scammers everywhere 😢
people can idealize how great it is because "its made for artists by artists" but that's irrelevant when the only thing on there is hentai and its impossible to get clients because the only other people who are on there are other starving artists who think instagram wants to steal their hentai art
its trash for literally every other field of art apart from illustrators/digital painters
it wont last and if it does they'll "sell out" bringing in investors, sponsors and adverts and possibly ai
What are you talking about? There is no hentai on Cara! 18+ images are not allowed. This is right at the top of Cara's Terms and Conditions: "NSFW media are currently not accepted on Cara." I've been on the platform since March and have never seen a single NSFW image posted.
Spoken like a person who never join Cara 😂
@@acailawenart there is plenty of hentai on cara, just because they have some skimpy clothes on doesn't mean its not hentai
@@acailawenart They endorse the possibility of hosting NSFW art, but haven't had a chance to program it yet. Their team wants to maintain a standard of decency for the content in general, and only have NSFW content available to 18+ people who willingly go looking for it.
It's only for digital Artist who makes portrait type of stuffs.
This is not accurate. There are both traditional and digital artists on the platform, as well as those of us who do both. It also isn't just portrait artists. There are visual development and concept artists, environment designers, background artists, prop designers, storyboard artists, illustrators, 3D artists, photographers and other visual creatives on the platform. And, I'm sure it will continue to expand as it continues to grow.
I've been on Cara for a week, i saw crochet, photography, stained glass, cosplay, miniature build, poetry, children book, and sometimes pottery.
@@acailawenart Cara is literally just a ripoff of Art station. Even the UI is identical...
There are definite similarities, but the UI is not identical. Cara has features that ArtStation doesn't have and vice versa. I'm on both platforms.
@@Talon97copy-paste? 😂 Did they give u money or what 😅
There's nothing like sharing your Instagram in a video with a thumbnail that says "I quit instagram" 🤡
That’s a screenshot of Cara 😅
Bro artists are so dramatic, i quit artstation, i quit insta, ai this ai that, blah blah... Man my community needs to grow up fr😂😂😂
Exactly, just a bunch of whiny babies...
Yes we are the worst
🎻
@@simphilip You know, ive been grinding as an artist for the last 10 to 11 years.. im from a 3rd world country where we do not have the luxury of social security, fair legal institutes, hell most of the jobs that come our way are exploitive because ... Africa.... The way the art community has been bitching about ai art has made me realise yal are fkn spoilt... tbh i think most of the mid to low tier artist will quit, do something else or getover this doomer hype and embrace/use or ignore if they are talented enough.... these doomer posts on youtube are cringe and taking advantage of a young impressionable audience
@@simphilip lets have a real conversation instead of posting emojis to silence an opposing/different opinion.. respectfully🙄
I feel like all videos about Cara are paid ;/ it’s everywhere now and I don’t believe it’s because people really want to use it
I can't assure you that this video is not paid by anyone. But I would welcome sponsorship 😂
Not like they can paid to raise the amount of user from 30.000 to 800.000 after just a few days, really. You should do some research before making statement like this to avoid spreading misinformation
not paid just trend following mostly, its a controversial topic so gets views
my experience unless your drawing hentai or anime digital art and dont want clients, stick to instagram
@@ANUBASS stick to instagram at this point would be the same as suicide if you're an artist.
@@ANUBASS you might be right! I want to see how it will look like after one year. I’m worried it’s not going to work
