Phew! I came here a day earlier than usual because after studying the lesson this morning (Investigative Judgement), I had to get deeper into it! This lesson has compounded my decision to purchase the Amazing Facts Prophecy Bible, because seriously, 1hour is Definitely not enough!!! From Pastor John L through to Pastor Kenny, each needed at least 40 minutes to expound their points! I don’t know HOW Jill puts So Much information into her 2 Day segment!!!!! 😳 Pastor Ryan brought out 2 more year/day examples that I hadn’t heard before! I’ll be back tomorrow, to listen to this all over again! And will bookmark the entire lesson for when I get my Prophecy Bible... Phew!

It's a great blessing to watch sabbath school lesson on this panel. We know that there are various verses in the bible that described Christ as son of man...why is Jesus described as son of man in the Bible???
Jesus also refers to Himself as the Son of man. Luke 19:10 "...for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” I believe Jesus does this for two reasons: 1. He is literally the Son of man (He is a human being), 2. He identifies Himself with us. He is not some aloof Being that steps back and lets the Earth "do it's own thing". No; I see Jesus as intensely interested in us. He came to this Earth and got His hands dirty, so to speak.

I am a little shocked this investigative judgement doctrine is still openly taught by the SDA church because I know Adventist scholars and ministers that have zero confidence in this doctrine. This investigative judgement doctrine came from the great disappointment doctrine of 1844 when many believe Jesus would come back again but when nothing happened there was shame and sadness . For the next 12 years the new church believed in the shut door that no one else could be saved and then 12 years later the investigative judgement was proposed as a possible explanation. One of the key scriptures for the investigative judgement is Daniel 8;14 which talks about the sanctuary being cleansed in the KJV but is better rendered reconsecrated because in Daniel 8;13 the same sanctuary is being trampled underfoot by the nasty little horn. This restoration of the sanctuary is celebrated in the gospel of Mark by the Jewish people until today and is called the winter festival or Hanuka. Reading Hebrews chapters 6,7,8,9 tells us Jesus went into the most holy place when he went into heaven and chapter 9 explains the meaning of the holy place and the most holy place in the christian era . Jesus went into the most holy place in ad 31 not in 1844. This is very clear and I haven,t read anything which can give any other position. The real problem with the investigative doctrine is that traditionally teaches perfection and denies the christian the assurance of salvation it is taught one sin will keep the christian out of heaven even a forgotten sin. The true gospel of grace is lost with this doctrine and the assurance of salvation is also lost. The bible says we are all sinners , no one is righteous not one . The christian hates sin and does his best with the power of God to be holy but the christian will only be free of sin when Jesus comes. Personally I haven,t seen many perfect people walking around and to be honest perfect people are very hard to get along with. Our assurance is not in our sinful self it is in the sacrifice of Jesus credited to us freely.

There are many SDA's that have been persecuted by the church over this doctrine(John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yeah the time cometh, that whoever killeth you will think he doeth God service) and many more beyond that persecuted because they did not believe EGW was a prophet. We are a Christian church so what we believe about EGW is irrelevant to our salvation. The IJ is proof enough for me that the bible and the bible only is all I require. Luckily for me, that is one of our 27 doctrine beliefs.

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken and with him the false prophet...These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Rev 20:7 And when the 1000 yrs are expired, satan shall be loosed out of his prison, Vs 10 and the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire where the beast and the false prophet ARE. Dan 7:12 As concerning the rest of the beasts they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time(1000 yrs) Dan 7:26 But the judgement shall SIT and they shall take away his dominion to consume and to destroy it unto the end. 27 And the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and all dominions shall serve and obey Him. Golgotha was the final sacrifice once and for all, New Jerusalem will not have a Temple/Sanctuary, only Jesus the Messiah and His Shabbat have infinite extension, are perpetual. We also know that the sin of the sanctuary was not transferred to the scape goat in 1844, therefore we know the 2300 yrs did not end in 1844 thus nothing happened is 1844. 30:00 "we dont allow scripture to be a private interpretation" We are the only church that interprets 1844 out of Dan 8, that is a private interpretation. Its a private interpretation of our very own prophet. All Christian churches share the prophets of the bible even if they have differing(private) interpretations. We study to show ourselves approved. What we do we do unto the Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts the soul. Biblically, I am within my God given right to read my bible only and not read the writings of EGW or subscribe to her interpretations which can only be considered private interpretation.
