I bought the kubota Z421 back in 2019. I LOVE IT. It has the Kawasaki engine, folding RAPs bar, the tires are extra wide which really helps on hills, has a 60" deck. I would fully recommend one if you can justify the expense for a mower!
I have been looking at these and a few other mowers in this price range. The review was very helpful as there is not a lot of information on these mowers. I test drove one a few days ago. I was very impressed with the mower. I went back the next day and purchased one.

Are you sure the front tyres are inflatable? They look solid from your vid. Ps I’ve owned a few Kubota products incl a tractor and they are top shelf. This mower is incredible value- it is a similar price to John Deer which have cheap pressed steel decks, budget cutter spindles, absolutely powerless hydro drives- I’ve been stuck on many hills… There is no comparison- This Kubota gor the price is the best.
I had a Cub Cadet too, that thing ate belts, bearings failed consistently, and the governor failed and the engine over revved and blew up. I switched to Kubota and have been trouble free.
Looking at this exact machine. It seems like a great machine and well built. My only concern is the 21HP Kohler. Any issues with the engine or having enough power? Thanks for the review.
It was my biggest concern as well. I have had ZERO issues with it. I think this is one of those rare cases where the machine is all sized to match. The deck isn't too big, the engine isn't too small, etc.
Kubota have shot themselves in the foot putting those rims on their machines. you can’t get a lug tyre to fit which is essential for rough terrain. I went back to the hustler fastrac
For the price I think hustler/gravely/toro will give you more bang for your bucks you can get that brand new 60 inch toro light commercial mower for 4 grand bigger engine bigger deck built heavier not completely commercial grade but neither is this Kubota I think it’s the time cutter 60
My friend bought the Time Cutter 60 and I can tell you, there is a quality difference between his and my Kubota. Granted, I have the Z421 zero turn, not the one he is reviewing in the video.
@@sheriffbart616 right they have to be same class cause all company’s have a different class cause only reason I would get a kubota over a toro is if it has the diesel which will easily cut thru thick brush easier but toro is essentially exmark but a hustler with hyperdrive I don’t see a gas kubota being able to compete against their hyperdrive units and they offer diesel too
@@spin0491 That's true, they aren't quite in the same class but they aren't far off. I think mine is just the next step up over the one he is reviewing. I agree, the diesels are nice but unfortunately they are quite expensive and unless you are a professional or have several acres to mow, or some other need for it, the expense is hard to justify. I can't comment on the Hustler hyperdrives as I don't know much about them.
Yes you can add suspension to the standard seat. Dealer can provide, it won’t look exactly like the factory one or some aftermarket ones available on Amazon.
Mate. I would NEVER buy a mower (or anything else) from someone who presents a machine for demonstration in the condition you have done here. Where is your pride in your work??
Why exactly? He said he had just gotten done cutting. You want a product review on a lawn mower that's all bright, shiny, washed & waxed? If it was in pristine condition how would you know it was really being used? I'd much rather have a review on a product that actually looks like it's being used, and the presenter actually might have knowledge to give an informed review. Save the bright, shiny and clueless reviews for the new car lot salesmen. Excellent review!

Anyone know if you can upgrade that seat to a suspension one?
It has a suspension seat, from factory

Or maybe just clean it before the review
I find it best to review the item after I have just used it. That way the info is fresh and accurate.
