If we have to be honest, you were one of the casting choices we could NOT afford to get wrong! Getting Mai Shiranui right was absolutely crucial for the fandom! I'm so happy to have made this choice! You're not only a great Mai but you will sit as my headcanon Mai forever! Thank YOU for being a part of this! seriously, couldn't have done this without you!

Thank you! That comment means a lot to us since we were trying our best to work with our limitations (we're all non-professional VAs), exercise some creative liberties with the voices, but STILL trying our best to maintain every character's essence! So this really helps boost our confidence!
The entire VA cast on this one did an astounding job. Especially Terry, Joe, Clark, Ralf, Geese, Blue Mary, Omega Rugal and Rock Howard. Their move callings sounded so better and more natural in this dub.

The funny thing is that If ever there was an Official Dub, I always Imagined Patrick Seitz (JJBA Pt. 3 DIO's Eng VA) to Fit the voice of Rugal, But this... I like this much better OuO
Iori's voice is slightly higher than I expected but I still love how the English voice actor's dubbing of how Iori talks mad shit as he's burning his opponent's face off😂❤
Damn, that Chizuru and Heidern hitting me a certain type of way, amazing Not my favorite voice, but my favorite line read was definitely Joe's, with Rugal not far behind. I'm not personally feeling the English Yamazaki (my fav character) but not like crazy Japanese and crazy English are the same so props to the VA for sticking with it I'm really interested in hearing all these guys reading all the win quotes and stuff like that. Can't wait to see how this develops!!

I'm really digging this dub! It's nice to finally know what characters are saying during their attacks. And man are those lines anime as hell! And I'm especially impressed with Terry's "LAUNCHEEERRRRRRRRR" Also, I was wondering why you guys changed Ralf's screaming before his final punch into "Take that" ?

Yeah, we had to change up a lot of their attacks to make more sense in terms of their mouthflaps, animations, and to give lines diversity (or else you'll be stuck with "this is the end" for 70% of the characters) We have an updated version of this if you wanna see!
I see everyone talking about Yamasaki being bad but his fits him so well. My worst is probably billy, his voice fits his personality but I hate it, but I also love it. Idk it’s hard to decide. All of Team Ash, Secret Agent, Orochi, Rival, Hero, Fatal Fury and Super Heroine are perfection. I also have a soft spot for Ramon bc I main him.
Thank you so much! Yeah, Yamazaki is difficult coz most people think that this very Japanese style of "unhinged" translates well into western conventions of interpreting crazy. We tried to match as best as we could while also not making him sound too much like the Japanese or else when it comes to the speaking lines he'll end up sounding very squeaky. We understand the concern for Billy coz we took the MOST liberties with his voice. We wanted to give him a genuinely british voice. however that often clashes with how people remember him sounding. I'm glad you liked them! Our VAs work very hard! I hope we did Ramon justice in your eyes. We tried to give him an accent we thought was fitting. Let us know your thoughts!

I'm genuinely surprised with how well done this fan project is. Definitely way better than a lot of official English dubs, especially in recent years. Keep up the good work, fellas.
Some yes, but we had to switch a few of them up for certain reasons. One example is that many characters use "ikuzo" in their climax and a lot of them roughly translate to the same phrases "take this!" "I'll show you." Others we had to change coz their translated phrases ended up either too long or too short. But for the most part these are all pretty faithful minus a couple like Kukri's.
Amazing job, my opinion is that Yamazaki laugh is a little... Weak, if you could get someone else to do the laugh it would be amazing, but his voice is awesome
Chizuru's only had one problem which was the final line. Comes across as a direct translation and not flowing in English with the given rhythm. I would've written: "Evil spirits, BE GONE!". "ALL EVIL" feels very unnatural to hear with that rhythm.
Hmm we'll keep that in mind. Yeah we're trying to translate and exercise some freedoms with it but we do run into the problem of people like you wanting for more considerate translation/localization and others who complain when it isn't a direct translation. So we're trying to find the right balance. Please tell us more of your opinions so we can further improve the mod!
@@StillThinkingGameDubs I think you can take some liberty when the mouth isn’t visible. Like maybe “Evil spirits be, PURIFIED” might be another route to consider. I know it’s a bit finnicky as you’re localizing a like likely influenced by Shintoism.
@@KumaOso16 it's actually not as easy, since we cannot dub parts that don't have audio. We're replacing the audio one for one. It's how the modding of those works unfortunately. We get you though fir this instance. We'll play around with it

Yeah, we had to change up a lot of their attacks to make more sense in terms of their mouthflaps, animations, and to give lines diversity (or else you'll be stuck with "this is the end" for 70% of the characters) We have an updated version of this if you wanna see!

I see everyone talking about Yamasaki being bad but his fits him so well. My worst is probably billy, his voice fits his personality but I hate it, but I also love it. Idk it’s hard to decide. All of Team Ash, Secret Agent, Orochi, Rival, Hero, Fatal Fury and Super Heroine are perfection. I also have a soft spot for Ramon bc I main him.
Thank you so much! Yeah, Yamazaki is difficult coz most people think that this very Japanese style of "unhinged" translates well into western conventions of interpreting crazy. We tried to match as best as we could while also not making him sound too much like the Japanese or else when it comes to the speaking lines he'll end up sounding very squeaky.
We understand the concern for Billy coz we took the MOST liberties with his voice. We wanted to give him a genuinely british voice. however that often clashes with how people remember him sounding.

ARE THESE VERBATIM TRANSLATIONS? FROM THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE I MEAN.
Some yes, but we had to switch a few of them up for certain reasons. One example is that many characters use "ikuzo" in their climax and a lot of them roughly translate to the same phrases "take this!" "I'll show you."
Others we had to change coz their translated phrases ended up either too long or too short. But for the most part these are all pretty faithful minus a couple like Kukri's.

Chizuru's only had one problem which was the final line. Comes across as a direct translation and not flowing in English with the given rhythm. I would've written: "Evil spirits, BE GONE!". "ALL EVIL" feels very unnatural to hear with that rhythm.
Hmm we'll keep that in mind. Yeah we're trying to translate and exercise some freedoms with it but we do run into the problem of people like you wanting for more considerate translation/localization and others who complain when it isn't a direct translation. So we're trying to find the right balance. Please tell us more of your opinions so we can further improve the mod!
@@StillThinkingGameDubs I think you can take some liberty when the mouth isn’t visible. Like maybe “Evil spirits be, PURIFIED” might be another route to consider. I know it’s a bit finnicky as you’re localizing a like likely influenced by Shintoism.
@@KumaOso16 it's actually not as easy, since we cannot dub parts that don't have audio. We're replacing the audio one for one. It's how the modding of those works unfortunately. We get you though fir this instance. We'll play around with it
