Hey Steph, great video! Styro Spray 1000 is simply a Brand Name for an industrial polymer called Polyurea. It is commonly used as a tank liner for chemical storage tanks. Polyurea is available commercially almost everywhere.
Hey Ronald, thanks for the tip on Polyurea! Can one add some filler, e.g. silica, glass, or carbon fiber shavings, to polyurea, to get an even stronger layer? One can even add filler into white glue???

I just found out about EVA foam and wanted to use it for mask making but need it to be rigid. Then I found out about styrospray but was wondering if white glue might do the same thing (and not be toxic), and your video came up. Perfect timing. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Cool man. Glue is so cheap and I always recommend doing some testing before committing to a project. Hope all works out for you.
I hate to say this, but as polite and articulate the creator of this video is, and how nice the results he shows are, this video is a complete bust for not actually SHOWING the mediums he worked with in their basic state, AND actually being applied. I realize that this isn't specifically a "tutorial" video, but at minimum, he should've showed what "Styrospray" LOOKS like! I imagine we all know what White Glue looks like, if we are HERE, but I've never heard of Styrospray and it does sound interesting. I imagine it comes in a "spray" can? One person in the comments actually asks if it was sprayed on or "brushed on". I wasn't sure if that was a joke, or what, (considering it's called: StyroSPRAY! BUT the creator of this video doesn't show it, so that question IS legitimate, in a way, even if it is a joke!

Interesting info, thanks for sharing it. Out of curiosity, did you spray or brush on the Styrospray 1000, and how many coats did you apply?
How much protective wear did you have, well, wear for the styrospray application? It seems from the msds sheet (i own it) that this will kill me slowly if I don't have fancy goggles and gloves.
With any chemicals it's a good idea to wear a VOC gas mask (a charcoal filter and a particulate filter) and to work in an actively vented room.
This is cool. :) Reminds me of a Xena costume :) Was wondering if I could use this stuff to make solid balloons? I might just try the white glue. Thank you :)
IdolEyes84 you can with Styrospray. We made 5 foot balloons with this stuff and It worked great. We did like 7 layers tho. We then stuffed it with packing peanuts because we stacked them on top of each other like a pyramid.
