- Celebrating the University's 200 birthday, the MMB combined with the Alumni Band performs a show that strives to uphold what was firmly established from those who have come before us.
One of my fav MMB halftime shows especially that last piece. Win or Lose, Forever GO BLUE!
The best of the best. These kids are also student athletes. I don’t know how they do it. It’s a very challenging school and to add Band on top of homework and studying takes tremendous talent and hard work.

Best band in the land
I regularly view MMB vids. I appreciate the change to a corps style show over the last 40 years since I wore the uniform. The flags routines have changed dramatically, the usual great overall musicianship, (OH MY!) the drumlines are beyond category and rank alignments are stellar. While not seen here, the emphasis on the iconic "lock-at-the-top" step has all but disappeared, except during pregame. It was the standard back-in-the-day but lately seems to be a nostalgic afterthought. Keep moving forward but never forget our history. YUBA and GO BLUE!
They did the high step when I was in the band (1967 and 68) and I miss seeing it. The homage to it during pre-game is, as you say, an afterthought. Also, I'm probably the only person in the world to say this, but I think The Victors is played much too fast now--even when they play the entire march. Nevertheless, I will always love MMB and will have to live with changes and evolution. They still look and sound great. YUBA!
I'm not a Michigan Fan, but I have to say they have a decent band. They have a nice sound. My high school has Michigan's fight song btw

❌ichigan university is the type to never form the correct M on the field. This band and its directors are just terrible. It keeps me up at night how people actually enjoy it. You know what else is mind blowing? When Ohio came playef hail to the Victor's. Ohio played SO MUCH better. And they form a better block!
Hey buddy, can you do something for me and just shut up? We get it, your from Ohio and so am I, but I went to Cincinnati because of your prestigious dumme shiße. Who cares about Ohio State, this is a MICHIGAN marching band show. Don't try and crap on other people liking something.
Who created the Script "Ohio"?
The OSU band writes out the name of the school in Athens every Saturday.
I live in Ohio and Michigan is di much better. You sound like a bitter Ohio State fan
