There’s hardly any customers. Is it normal to be this empty? It seems very clean and everything is sold in bulk sizes. Is it for merchants like restaurant and stores and not individual purchases?

That's right, it's a wholesaler, inns, shops, merchants and traders come to buy fruit here. It will be crowded during the night until the morning.
But if going to visit the market It also has a retail service section.

Are you sure that the place is Talad Thai? Beause at 0:40 can see the name of the market that is Si Mum Muang, not Talad Thai
