- The two-episode series named The Silk Rail Road is a first-ever co-production by CGTN and NGC (National Geographic Channel). It is co-presented by British historian Sam Willis and CGTN reporter Li Qiuyuan. They investigate how the China Railway Express is benefiting the countries and people along the route of the Belt and Road. In the first episode, the reporters visit a key stop on this network, the city of Yiwu, in Zhejiang Province.

The main problem confronting the West is partly their political system where "salesmen" are elected once every 4/5 years. Their interests must be short term and consequently the current mess facing their development process. China is looking at all these issues over very very long term. She understands that infrastructure of all modes of transportation, especially rail because of its larger capacity and quicker movement become their choice to improve her internal logistics needs and having more or less achieving that , she decided to improve this connecting transport mode across the Eurasian landmass. Indeed, with some 17 million square km to cover, indeed rail connectivity is the solution as many of the Eurasian nations are land-locked. Indeed, the century for the Eurasian!

they need to build tunnels under the red sea and persian gulf. 2 under each. one for a major highway and the other for a major rail lines. The would go from Africa threw Yeman, Oman, U.A.E. and Dubai on the Arabian Penninsula, and threw Iran and Pakastan to the Karakoram Corridor in Pakastan. This would give a reason for Gwadar to go from a port ot a city and would also hlep Oman and Yeman get hige transport fees. These countries have teh weakest economies on the route and would go a long way in helping with their develpoment.

All along the route for thousands of desolate miles, armed bands of pirates will simply blow up a short section of track, that's all it takes. Then they just sit and wait for the Chinese Santa Claus Choo Choo to derail. What a horrible crash out in the middle of nowhere. No one around for hundreds of miles.
